I don't understand what is SGA and all that SGU, SG1. But I just came here because I'm a fan of Murdoch since 3 years now proud of it, thanks to a friend who recommend it. I must say I'm really happy to see how he's fans have grown part of them are thanks to these TV series I see it as a way of passing good music world wide. By the way stop commenting who found out first about him or what show is better. Just come here and enjoy his music is it that hard to ask?
@03raq Seeing as a lot of people saw it on the TV show Stargate Universe (which, most people who know it are Stargate fans from other series as well) they all ended up in this video because, as we all know, Alexi is awesome and this is a great song. Them seeking to relate themselves to a group by asking who saw it here and there is human nature, and seeing they found people who share this interest, they want to talk to them about said subject, and ended up arguing. You can't really stop it.

So when SG1 and SGA were aired for years I had no interest at all in them. I saw the adds for SGU and was blown away by the quality of image and scene characters etc. Finally I found a new Syfy show I could actually relate too. What do they do...cancel it!!! I don't think people realize how much of a gem they had with this show.
I watched SG-U before I knew anything about Stargate, but I still love SG-1 and SG-A, and Stargate: Atlantis Rising, Continuum, and, of course, the original Stargate movie!

Honestly, I started watching SGU before watching SGA, because a friend got me into it. I loved it, and decided to give SGA a try. I stopped after the first two episodes because it was just so horrible. Honestly, they go to a different planet and everyone speaks english and there is no attempt made to explain that. And the characters aren't even surprised. SGU is MUCH better in purely terms of science-fiction. I mean, not even DW is that bad!
@Cinnamorette Unfortunately if you haven't watched the first series SG-1. Then you won't understand why certain planets have english speaking humans and some times aliens. Kind of hard to go watch SG-A w/out the background knowledge of SG-1 :(. SG-1 is 10 Seasons long, while SG-A is 5. Towards the last few seasons of SG-1, SG-A was started and the episodes have a few episodes that mix together!.
SG-A is a continuation of the Stargate series. SG-1 is what sets the entire series in stone.
@stargatesfurling well actually most humans in Pegasus speak a derivative of ancient. most cultures in the milky way speak a derivative of Egyptian,Babylonian and other ancient languages from the Mediterranean,Asia and and Middle east. which as the show explains are mainly derived from Goa'uld language.as well as the humans from the Ori galaxy speak ancient,the only group of non earth humans are the culture in the drone galaxy in SGU.english is a way to fit the story into 45min

SGU is art! The journey of the ship is clearly a metaphor for life. Whatever they encounter in their journey, good or bad, the ship keeps going, just as life does. Thats why I loved SGU so much. And by the way that is only MY opinion. Everyone can interpret it the way they want and its just as correct... I'm just saying there is a deeper meaning in SGU than there was in SG-1 or SGA.
I absolutely love how different SGU is from SGA and SG1. Such as a wonderful soundtrack. Don't get me wrong, SGA is still my favorite, but I didn't give the show much credit at first, but now I love the show
@chriswereheer its a shame though so many fans of the Stargate series disown it, been watching stargate all my life, grewing up with it love it to death own all the seasons .... and love SGA too and that took a season or 2 to like as well. I love SGU but so many hate it...sad really, I reckon it would have been great if given the chance was still in the teething stage really if you look back on the first 2 seasons of most sci-fi's (EXCLUDES firefly that was a master piece off the bat) take a bit

It still had familiar elements such as Jack, Sam, Daniel even Dr Mckay (my favorite character in all the series) and still mentioned the previous series, and referenced past events, but it got in to who they were before Destiny and their social lives after entering destiny. but it also focuses on the strains of duty and time

Alexi Murdoch is one of the best artists in the whole world if u ask me. His music helps me with everything, even though I'm sad, happy, depressed or angry. His music never dissapoint me. He dosen't make music because he wants the money, he's one of those rare artists left out there who makes music out of pure love and joy.
