@paddykol That is not the english flag but the naval ensign of the royal navy wich has a union flag on the top left corner of the Saint George cross i know the saint george cross is the english flag but with the adding of the union flag it is not the english flag

@paddykol, Its the British naval ensign that she's flying, not the English national flag!and so she should be considering she's a BRITISH, not a Scottish ship. It may have been built in Scotland yeah but she was paid for by the people of the entire UK, ie mostly English taxpayers money.

The 'last' dynamic launch of a Royal Naval vessel from a Glasgow shipyard. How very sad and poignant. My wife and I drove through Yoker in September and thought her silhouette against the sky evoked great memories. I'm an Airdrie boy who has lived in Gloucestershire for the past 30 years. One of my neighbours is a Bankie, Isobel Lindsay, wee Shug and Betty's lassie. Great pics. Well done.
