You need two things: spot the cards and be able to move them around.

False shuffles, any kind of cut (may it be fancy for a trick or simply controlled for a cheat), dealing cards under the top( keeping the top card(s) and dealing only those underneath), any kind of break ( pinkie break for example), slidings and gaps(dealings off set cards from the middle)...

Many things can be done without you to ever know and see. All you need is to be able to do it as fast as you would normally.

I am going to answer the quetion to the person who said "why learn sleights why not buy gimmicked decks for everything" ok quite simple the reason paul (and others like myself) use sleights is because we like magic and people dont understand that wat we are doing is an art and it entertains us wen doing the sleights just like playing a sport of an instrument

its not to do with the shuffling or the counting it's to do with a light grip when cutting and you have a 9/10 chance of cutting the ace. (It's called a dead cut).

It is difficult to be helpful without being critical. I hope you take these comments in the way they are intended. As ace cutting routines go its not that great. Why did you cut 10 cards from the face and add them to the top ? The last shuffle and reveal of the final ace was also weak. It desperately needs patter but if I were you I would find a better ace cutting routine. Andy

pretty impressive but i think i know how its done. all the aces r on the top of the deck. judging by the way he shuffles it , he can always keep the aces on the top. after reveal the 1st and 2nd ace. theres is only 2 aces on the top, so if he just pick up 2 cards from the top, people will know. so the counts a number of cards to put it on the top of it, and practice to pick up the 2nd ace. then he just pick up the last ace with stlye
