thanks for uploading this .. sir im suffring with the same problem my aortic valve has thickness and its by birth .. my age is 32 now i feel weakness in my body and some times heart beating fast ... sir can u clear my mind ... what is different in function between the original valve and the valve which is replaced ? second does patient take medicen regular after surgery 3rd does patient live normal life life others ?? and can any1 join gym or any other hard work after surgery . let me know
I had the same surgery performed on me, April 27, 2010, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA; the replacement valve is 27mm. Also i had to have the ascending aorta replaced. Everything went well and my recovery is excellent. If it was not for the scar i would not even think about it.
@fableblue2010 Thanks for watching. Ascending aorta with aortic valve replacement needs a valved conduit. It is more complicated than this one. we do ascending aorta replacement by David or Bental procedure. It makes me happy that you are doing well.
@lialammas If your interested in the sewing techniques then I think you will like our Aortic Valve Replacement videos, the valves used in the videos are mechanical and the surgeons are using pig hearts to practice with.
