In MW2 you (as an anstronaut) die because of a nuclear explosion in space (causing an EMP that destroyes the space station), but I left that guy out because he basicly doesn't add anything to the story of game....

I think it's because Shepard/Price/Soap did fire a nuke at the US. But the world is supposed to think it was the Russians.
