so you are telling me that if a criminal didn't have a gun he'd give up his life of crime? no. I think not. Also, if you remove guns from the hands of lawful citizens, do you think that criminals will simply obey the new gun laws? Wrong again. Look at London. Their gun crime rates have skyrocketed and they are moving toward being on pace with NYC at this point. Guns don/t = Crime, CRIMINALS = Crime. Bad guys will always get their guns. When seconds count, the cops are only minutes away!

@MaralizeLegawana You made a very good point!  However, that reinforces the fact that we need to keep control of our children and not let a 2 yr old wander around the house unattended. My dad told me that if I even touched one of his guns w/out his permission that he would kick my ass! That was enough to no even look at his guns! We went shooting almost every week anyway. I was taught to mind my parents!

I don't know anyone who owns a gun, nor do I personally know any Canadian who has been the victim of a violent crime. The same cannot be said for my US friends. One was shot in the head during a car jacking and another viciously raped.
