  • Its bad but there is a tiny good thing about it, it makes you strong. Mentally & physically.

  • what language is this?

  • @corrupt200 finnish

  • dont hit kids aged over 7 cus they fight back

  • It is so pathetic when you use your power against the weak ones who can't even defend themselves.

However, domestic violence seems to be a common illness.

I could never treat a child in such a brutal way, since children are the purest living beings on earth.

Give love to a child and it will love you back.

    Peace.

  • SUBS

I was playing with my friend in a forest which had this cool cave, we thought there might be a pirate treasure inside, even though we never found it, but we saw atleast 5 frogs. When I came home, I noticed I had lost my back pack. It was lost. My mother was really angry with me, and yelled at me so much I cried. I can't remember what the back pack looked like, but I will never forget that day,

  • I didn't really understand... I thought that the moral was if you beat someone as a kid, he grows up into a big guy that looks like he's about to whoop your ass.

  • If my dad said he was dissapointed in me,I would burst into tears. So,my parents never really beat me.I'm daddy's little girl,so I don't think he would do that anyway

  • The language is Finnish, and the ad goes so:

The little boy is telling how he was paying in the woods with his friend, looking for a pirate treasure from some cave. He tells how it was so much fun and they saw frogs and stuff.

Then when he gets home, his mom gets really angry at him, 'cos he has lost his backpack. And so she hits him.

The man is the boy grown up. He says "I don't remember anymore what the backpack looked like, but that day I'll never forget. "

    That's a rough translation.

  • @Jijilla Wow, thanks.

  • If you smack your child on the bottom lightly, he's not going to have scars like that. I do believe in smacking your son or daughter because it works.

  • what language is that??

  • The man at the end of the commercial is pretty damn attractive.

  • I dunno why i laughed at the begining xD

  • My parents never tried to even hurt me, they taught me the right values from the wrong ideals without involving spanking or hitting. If you can't do the same without hurting your child then you are not a fit parent. Justifying your excuses are for the weak willed and minded.

  • @KymZylla If you do not spank a child they will walk all over you. You are supposed to be the adult. taking a kinder take to it will only led them to take advantage of you. children need to have the fear of god put into them at an early age to be able to listen. It is the only way. to learn about morals and respect. and where do you get off being all high and mighty about war. war is apart of life, its in every humans nature to fight. even yours.

  • Holy Shit was that Reznov.

  • @KimZylla like the difference between plain assault (on a minor) and sexual assault (on a minor)?

argue discipline all you want, striking is striking. now go spank the next mugger who is hitting you. better yet - spank your (female partner?)'s face for not doing what u tell them to do, i bet the trial judge will know this so called, "Big difference between hitting and spanking," you speak of... and see if the mugging story helps in your defense. ya prick job!

  • would be better if i knew what they were saying..

  • there are successful people out there

who came from bad shituations like this.

it's up to you to decide your future.

excuses are like butt's, everyone has one.

  • I soviet russia child hits father!

  • My dad abused my brother and I (and our mother too.) My mother spanked us. There IS a difference. I love both of my parents with my whole heart. My mother scares me more than my dad does. I feel my brother doesn't look at it the same as me. I know what our dad did was wrong and looking at him now I think, "how pathetic." That's what his life became. I am NOT a victim anymore, but I think my brother still is because he idolizes our dad.

  • Gee, I don't know what KimZylla said but it sure does make a person feel good inside when you tell them that they are the cause of war in this world. The guy was sorry enough to remove his comment don't ya think u can give him a little slack?

  • @KimZylla

You primitive fucking monkeywhore. The only difference is a more concentrated impact. They are both physical abuse issued as a threat, teaching the children that terrorism, and violence as a solution to a problem, is okay.

Your kinds disgusts me! People who are ignorant of their own ignorance and let others suffer because of it. I puke in your face!

This phrase has never been more accurate:

You are the reason there is war in the world.

  • Language of the Iceland people?

  • what do they say????

  • if i only Knew what they were SAYING!

  • @KimZylla Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel any better. I pity you for not being able to raise a child without raising your hand.

  • when i was a child i used to hit other childs. well actually only my brother, we used to beat the shit out of eachother all the time and got grounded for months all the time xD does that count? we're not scared, just stronger, we have greater bonds now.

  • @KimZylla

    no there isn't

  • @Theclearthinker1 Yes there is, spanking is a smack on the ass while hitting is unleashing all of your might to beat the crap out of this kid

  • Like this, if you are against hitting a child WHAT-SO-EVER.

  • when i was little, my dad beat the shit out of me. and now when i watch the home movies i know why

  • Many studies show that women create more damage mostly due to women using weapons in domestic violence 3X more than men. Virtually all truely scientific studies show that women abuse their dating, live-in and married partners as much as or more than men abuse women. The majority of studies and stats likewise clearly show mothers abuse and murder their kids more - and that matches what feminists tell us: "A parent who abuses their kids is more likely to abuse their partner too" and vice versa.

  • hahaa finnish ad :P

  • There is no reason to smack a child over the age of 4 - they are developed enough to understand more advanced communication methods. There is no reason to smack a child under the age of 4 either, because you shouldn't have them in any situation where they would need to be smacked. If you can't come up with any better way of disciplining and communicating with your child, perhaps you shouldn't have one.

@ADHD365: Maybe time-outs don't work because you've been fucking up for the past 5 years.

  • Why have the title in English when English speaking viewers aren't going to understand?

  • I hit my son all the time, and he is a tougher kid because of it. Fuck this commercial.

  • @MrMaryJanes You should never hit a child, don't you see what you're doing to him? If you "love and would do anything for him" then you don't hurt them, would you hit your wife for not doing the dishes?

  • @Teongose Actually I would hit her if she didnt cook dinner and do the dishes afterwards

  • @MrMaryJanes Where do you live?

  • @MrMaryJanes you sick fuck

  • @KimZylla exactly, didnt do me no harm whenever i stepped out of line i got spanked.

my father never hit me just me ma.

"wait til your dads gets home "

that was enough to stop fucking around

  • Fucking kick the living shit of the little cunt, who does he think he is? if i was his parent i would belt him round the face with a stationary and other common household items

  • @WankersFist Where do you live? I'd like to beat the living shit out of you, you soulless fucko

  • @WankersFist lmao glasgow pal

  • poland is scary

  • @nirvanapower1991

    this isn't polish

  • @simsguildwars is it russian then i can't tell please tell me

  • So he grew up yo be a mean person? I kinda did too, but im good at heart just saying.

  • kya nonswnse hai????

  • @RandomAzn007 Same Here..

  • This is... THE BEATINATOR!!!!!

  • I don't see a point in using physical punishment. I mean, most likely, it's not going to make the kid stop. My parents never spanked or slapped me and I turned out fine (sort of). I never get myself into trouble outside of my home, or inside my home either.

  • @girlofgaga63 that's where you are wrong. the art of physical punishment is psycological. you remember what you did and it if you actually LEARNED from your mistake, you won't make it again. With good dicipline without going too far, i am actually one of the best behaved students in my school (the bar is not set that high anyway) if you are going to do something stupid think for a second "what if mom or dad were here right now watching me?" just a word of advice.

  • @pokemonMAst3r2010 Well I am also a well behaved student and my parents never used physical punishment

  • hitting and abusing is beating you're child to a comma, spanking is just at least 1-3 slaps to the ass or face for a wrong mistake so you wont ever do it again!

  • my parents spanked me when i was disobedient. back then i was furious (at those moments) but now i know it was for my own good. i am very thankful.

  • with a paddle though is brutal

  • I'd rather be physically abused than psychologically anyday, at least bruises heal.

  • secondly, I was spanked several times by my parents, I love them. I do not fear them. I am not scarred by them. This a commercial for parents who BEAT their child. Not parents who spank their child. I've been hit a couple times by my step father. Let me tell you spanking and hitting are not the same. I'm reading these comments and shaking my head. Grow up, stop writing bs comments about how you're scarred for life over a slap on the hand. Get over it, save it for the kids who actually got beat.

  • I know I'm probably going to get thumbs down for this but fuck it. I look at kids today with "ADHD/ADD" and see only an undisciplined child. I have not met a mature kid at my school who hasn't been spanked. Beating you child is one thing, but spankings are perfectly effective and normal. And before you get defensive know that I was tested for adhd and confirmed positive. Now I can't join the military because of it! ADHD/ADD is a lie and it's a poor excuse for insolence/laziness/stupidity!

  • at age 2, my parents would twist my arm whenever i ran into the road, grabbed for knives, etc ... not because they were abusing me, but because they wanted me to associate pain with certain situations. to keep me safe.

but they didn't stop doing it until i was six, and by then i had stopped associating pain with the situation and started associating pain with /them./ they thought i was too young to understand. they love me and would not hurt me anymore, but i know how pain and fear lasts long.

  • one time i was mad and hit my table with my fist, because my father told me something about what i had to do for school (school was being an asshole again, changing rules about going to the next year) he suddenly grabbed me by the shirt and threatened to hit me if i didnt do it. im a guy and i was 15 at that time, i cried really hard and still sometimes when i look at him, i only feel anger

  • Im 16 i was abused as a child, i swear when i grow up. im never laying a hand on my child.

  • @colbin1 im sorry you were abused. :'(

  • @colbin1 Then your child with never learn. Take it from some one who shares your pain.

  • People who hit their children to punish them should be locked up. It's simply wrong.

  • Statistically, the majority of violence upon children is committed by women. I love that this commercial didn't try to paint an unlikely picture in which the father hit the child.

  • @101johngalt

Statistically, its usually the step parent (usually the step dad or boyfriend) that is guilty when a child is found battered or in some cases, dead.

  • @xochamoch Not according to the US federal government.

  • my moms boyfriend use to beat me so much with sticks, hands, anything he could grab. now im 14, and I want him to apologize the next time i see him or else ill show him how it feels. what REALLY hurts me the most is that my mom is still friends with you, i hate her for that so much..

  • There should never be physical "punishment". If indeed one must spank a child, it is for discliplinary reasons, to teach the child, never to harm or scare him. Many parents spank their children out of frustration, instead of protection. People have forgotten what it is to be a good parent. If you cant be prepared for child rearing, DONT HAVE KIDS! If you have children but cannot handle being a parent, put them up for adoption. STOP HARMING OR KILLING CHILDREN!

  • Striking a child anywhere but the ass is wrong. If a kid does something wrong, he/she will keep doing it until you do something. Yelling or talking won't work 90% of the time. Its a kid, they'll think "eh, he'll either talk or yell at me oh well" But if you spank your kid when you need too, "if i do that again i'll get spanked, no way". Love and show your child affection all the time, but spank when he or she is bad. I was when i was little, and i love my dad 100%. I don't see whats wrong withit

  • @sacr3 what about time outs/ taking away toys toy/ taking t.v privileges away? there are plenty of ways to punish a child without resorting to corporal punishment. the worse thing about corporal punishment is that most parents who resort to it are never in control. they react out of anger so the beat their kid way more than they would in their right mind. so it's better not to do it at all.

  • @cutefifsta Definitely, I understand what you're saying. What happens if the kid doesn't listen and watches TV anyways? Or yells back at you? Or doesn't stay in time out? What do you do then? I can agree some parents abuse it, but some don't. My old man gave me a spanking when i went way out of line and it scared the shit out of me, but was I mentally scarred? Did I hate him? No. I was put in place. It works.

  • @sacr3 well this could spark a debate about child upbringing because honestly when you get to the point as a parent where you're kid talks back to you and doesnt listen when you tell them to do something then clearly you've not been bringing them up right from the start. i see you're point of view but i have my own as well. my parents would beat me and my siblings from doing something really bad to something that wasnt our fault. sometimes we'd get punished just cuz they were in a bad mood so...

  • @cutefifsta Well unfortunately no parent is ever ready and doesn't know 100% what to do in all situations. Don't get me wrong, Spanking is the last resort. I am also talking about kids (2-5) not any older. Most of the time they just don't get it. My old man told me a story, I kept walking towards the street and wanting to play on it. He told me multiple times, punished me to my room, etc about not going there - i just wouldn't listen. He finally gave me a spanking and I stopped. Was that wrong?

  • Two wrongs don't make it right but two negatives make a positive? interesting, is it not?

  • I still believe giving children a smack if they express extremely dreadful behavior, but hitting them so hard and frequently for tiny things is child abuse.

  • child abuse is an issue in america only . hitting a child teaches the kid not to ever make the same mistake again. its a powerful method based on fear . its effective and is used worldwide .

  • @TheJDMsamuraiwarrior Amen. All animals use it, and so do we. Don't abuse it mind you, use it when necessary. If a kid acts up and talking/taking things away doesn't work - Spank. The kid will then listen, no kid wants pain.. and if thats what all that acting up gets him, he'll stop.

  • @sacr3 r u saying it is okay to hit kids?

  • @ThePretty1212 God no, never ok to hit a kid. But I don't think Spanking is bad. I was spanked when I was younger, when I got out of line i'd get a good spanking. Did it give me complex issues? no. My father loved me and showed his affection, but when I got out of line he showed me. I don't think spanking will cause a child to go wrong, as long as you show affection, attention, etc to the child as well. Some people abuse spanking and don't give 2 shits about their kid - this is when its wrong.

  • @sacr3 :absoluetl agree with you ....but you see in my case my father never touched me ,nor did he hit me or scold me,never hugged me....i beleive complete ignorance is also a form of child abuse ....and trust me this is the root cause for teenage violent behaviour ,drugs, crime ....ive been through all this shit, took me along time but now im finally at a little stable point in my life ,am 24..i hope no kid has to see and go through what i have...no kid should grow up without a loving father...

  • @MrMashetty I couldn't agree more with you, My mom took me away when i was 2 from my old man, i'm now 23 and finally able to drive to visit him, life is extremely difficult without a father and like the golden words you said no kid should grow up without a loving father. When I have a few myself i'm going to be there every breathe of their life. It is hard.

  • hitting a kid isn't bad, i use to be hit when i was little. of course, am not talking hitting them like abusing, like for nothing, but i think parents have the right to hit their kids.

  • @vidbashar9207 uhhh thats stupid and i dont think that they have the right to hit people.thind whatever u want but i wont blame your kids if they NEVER see u when your an adult or even hate u from the start....

  • wtf when u hit your kids it builds character did you c that boys face looked like it wuz made out of stone

  • I wish my dad spanked me as a child, beats being dragged up and down the stairs or the broom (that had a metal rod), or choking...well to be fair he choked me once and stopped himself, I guess that means he does love me?

  • @horrorvictim No. That means he was unable to act like parent. He did wrong.

  • Sometimes kids want to be beat.

  • I'm SO glad my parents have never hit me.

Well, my stepdad tried once. Lucky for me I'm a brown belt in karate.

  • @AfrojacX you're parents NEVER HIT YOU?!?!?!?! Luckeh! I get hit....

  • @Aveoy ): I'm sorry to hear that. You should report it to someone you trust, or maybe take up martial arts if you haven't already. Or both.

  • @AfrojacX ...It'll only get worse :/

  • @Aveoy Not if they're in prison or you can kick their asses.

  • @AfrojacX ...Not hit REALLY hard.just a tap :/

  • if you cant even discipline a kid without bashing the shit out of them then maybe you shouldnt have a kid in the first place, my dad hit me three times when i was a kid, nowadays i cringe whenever he moves his hands :/

  • @RandomAzn007 u sir, are a pussy

  • @RandomAzn007 I agree with the first part of what you said.........but he hit you only 3 times.......and you cringe everytime he moves his hands? That's a little odd.

  • @RandomAzn007 You're right. But enough about being a victim, I hope that you'll get over it somehow: accept the past and all your pain and you'll grow way stronger than he'll ever hope to be. Peace

  • @RandomAzn007 You're kidding, right? He hit you three times and now you're scarred for life? Really? My dad used to beat me with a belt until I couldn't move anymore. He hit me with his hands more times than I can remember. And yet, I don't have any lingering hangups about him.

Maybe my generation was just a little tougher?

  • @RandomAzn007 thumbs the fuck up! my dad used to beat the fuck outa me when i was little. now he doesnt touch me, instead he gets 2 inches from my face and yells at me, and acts like hes about to hit me, which is even worse, im 16 right now and he cant even hug me without me flinching. i hate my fucking dad. hes the reason for the divorce, and why i flunked outa high school. its gona take me years to fix all the shit that hes has done.he keeps telling me to be a man when he cant even be a dad...

  • @291mercer please hang in there. your acknowledgement and openness about this is a strong step forward.

  • @291mercer That sux. Here's my heartfelt advice 2 get yr life on track: Focus on what U can do 4 U. Make & follow an eductn plan; U can change it as U go, Dispense w/ smoking, drinking, drugs, unprotected sex, & criminal activity. Always practice Golden Rule. Behave as adult, 2 teach others how 2 treat U. Buy multi-CD version of Brian Tracy's "The Psychology of Achievement," solid info - NOT cult, religion, or psudeo-science. U R somebody & today's the 1st day of the rest of yr life. Go 4 it.

  • @291mercer that is sad why don't u call the police do something ,run away it is a crual world but if soewhen doesn't do something

  • my father hit me three times when i was a kid, im 16 now, but whenever my dad moves or shifts in the slightest way i cringe, same thing goes for my boyfriend, dont get me wrong hes the gentlest person in the world but you just cant help it you know?

  • Translations please?

  • It's not that hard to discipline a child without hitting. 90% of the "problems" I see between the parents and the children are the fault of the parent.

  • There's a huge difference when a responsible parent is disciplining they're child. But in the end it all comes down to what the parents think. I was disciplined as a child and I turned out just fine.

  • there is a difference between beating your kid and disciplining your kid. Ya beating your kid is wrong, but if they are just being little assholes then ya discipline them don't beat them. my parents used to hit me everytime i deserved it. i grew up and out of that childish phase real quick. every day at school i see those arrogant douchebags that think they're so cool and superior. they push everyone around cause they're used to getting what they want. hitting them as a kid would've changed it

  • @j088423 yeah but you can discipline a child without hitting them. not properly disciplining a child is as bas as beating them. sure you wont be as likely to get the cops called on you but your setting a child up for failure. my dad never hit me, but i thought he would. that was enough to set me straight when i started acting up. if you cant discipline without hitting then you're not worthy of being a parent and don't deserve to have children.

  • Spanking is the only acceptable thing. Anything else is wrong.

  • What language is it? Its beautiful

  • @shukucci Finnish.

  • What the hell is with you people saying some forms of physical punishment is good and can be helpful? If you had some fucking control of your kid then you wouldn't need that shit. Weak guys.

  • @broverKeyes I disagree 100% alternative punishments are not enough with kids who act like I did. If my dad threated to put me in "the corner" or "time out" over getting a cookie or something along those lies I would tough it out, and get the damn cookie. I was a very defiant kid, spanking me was the only way. All other punishments were too easy to deal with, I would just wait them out. Who is to say that there won't be anymore defiant kids like me in the years to come?

  • @maxdragonn Spanking isn't really that brutal. I don't really even discourage spanking. But literally BEATING your kid is not okay, I don't care what you say there is no possible way you can jusitfy punching your 3 year old in the face.

  • Comment removed

  • When it comes to physical punishment it can be helpful at times at getting a parents point across, "helping" the child learn their lesson. But a parent should NEVER hit their child when they are angry. Because they're anger will spill out and children will see it and harbor a deep resentment towards being punished in that way. When it comes to physical punishment it should be used wisely. A parent should only use it when they have thought over everything and are calm, not in a rage.

  • Comment removed

  • Kids who don't get beat are spoiled. And won't be prepared for the real world.

  • Why not hit a kid to teach some discipline and kids these days are bunch of little assholes that parents create, and why not discipline the parents too, they're shitty parents for raising shitty kids. And who gave these people permission to fuck without a condom, there's enough problem as it is in this world. And shit like this build charactor to the person, you know "A Boy Named Sue" message.

  • @squmak It depends on how you hit the child. There are ways of disciplining children without harming them.

  • I use to agree with "smacking" but now noticing the way I am, I think it is very wrong. I know a lot of the time I deserved to be smacked but sometimes their anger would get the better of them and they would hit me until I was bruised. I have been hurt by my Dad before and it ruined my view of him. I use to be a Daddy's girl and now I hate my house. I know emotions can get the better of people so I give them the benefit of the doubt but with my kids it'll be different. Hopefully:)

  • you young whippersnappers, all y'all who're gettin spanked. ya got off easy, my mother used to beat me with bricks and my father would waterlog me and smack me in the face until I admitted that I was whooped by my dad. I barely survived the 6th grade when i decided to run away from home. best decision I ever made.

  • Never hit a child, seriously they have guns now.

  • @postpunk96. is 96 the year you were born. cause that's how mature you just sounded.

  • finland's view of spanking: spanking = violence against children.

  • spanking is banned in several countries. including finland.

  • I think it's okay to hit a kid, not like full on beat them but like smack/spank them if they do something wrong.

  • @AssassinSkills dumb motherfucker

  • I think if you let it to the point that you have to hit your child to get him/her back on the right track. You should reconsider what did you do wrong.

  • My mom wooped my ass, whooped my bros. my friends moms wooped them, and my other friends mom. well only if we very very naughty but we all good kids atm. im 19 i just reckon it depends

  • what langauge is it Swedish, Finnish Norwegian or Icelandic?

  • @KJT922010T Finnish : D

  • All around the world child abuse happens even more in Africa and Asia.

  • I hit my neighbor's kids instead.

  • I will try to translate this for you guys who dont understand what they are saying : D yea, my english is not so good but ill try: I was playing with taneli in a wood and there was a cave. We played that in the cave could be pirate's treasure but we didn't found it, but we saw 5 frogs in there! And when i get back home my bag was lost somewhere when we were playing.Mom was so angry. SO angry that i cried.

I don't remember anymore what that bag looked like. But ill never forget that day.

  • @eNppuHEARTRUTTU thx for the translation and your english is very good

  • @HolyFire1717 thanks it wasnt easy to find right words : D Finnish is so different language and im 13 years old so i dont speak english very good yet. But good if that helped : D

  • @eNppuHEARTRUTTU ^_^ hey can u tell me wat language u are? english isnt much of a special language and im acculy trying to learn new language. ive already started studying japanese, spanish, and italian

  • @HolyFire1717 im from finland so i speak finnish : D haha i love english =)

  • probably wulda hav been more touching if I KNEW WTF THEY WERE SAYING!!!!!!!!!

  • @raver14...i'm pretty sure they are talking about not beating the shit out of your child..not spanking

  • I couldn't understand anything.

  • just another day in russia then, kid enlisted as soldier beaten round head a bit then grows into fuck witt

  • discipline is a must but continuous abuse is just ridiculous. My parents use to hit me and my sisters but its not like full-on abuse..and its for something we did.

  • My mom would always get drunk, and hit me repeatedly until she passed out from exhaustion. She did this not only to me, but also my 5 year old sister. Everyday I'd come home from school hearing my mother screaming in the basement and my sister crying. I would always go to try to stop her. I knew what she would do to me. This happened for 3 years until DCFS finally came from me calling repeatedly over and over again. My mother has recently died from alcohol poising. But for some reason, I'm sad.

  • @forestrocks Aww:( that's kinda sad but your mom did give you a home

  • Jotenkin vaan tiesin et tää oli suomalainen.

  • You take their hand and make them hit themselves, "stop hitting yourself!!"

  • YEEEEY! LETS ALLL HIT KIDS BECAUSE WHO CARES ABOUT THE FUTURE? BECAUSE WE WILL ALL BE DEAD!!! CHILD ABUSE FTW!

  • Never hit a child, they have guns now.

  • I was spanked as a kid, and thats was not physical abuse. But if you were to spank a kid now adays, even one spank and you could be locked up.

  • @LuckyIzzy659 YOU WERNT SUPPOSED TO TELL ANYONE SON!!!

  • @tehmightylion1 Funny.

Unfortunately, im a girl which will also tell people that your comment is fake. (: think twice next time

  • There is a difference between spanking or child and beating them. This was a clear visual of physical abuse.

  • @GruppeSechs2004 Even just spanking doesn't get the parents anywhere. Spanking or violence do *not* teach children whatever it is you are trying to teach them.

It only teaches them to fear you, distrust you, and ..of course, it teaches them violence.

Therefore, if a parent wants to change her child's behavior, the objective would be met only through making the child UNDERSTAND why the behavior is unwanted.

Violence inspired by creating plain fear in a child is mindless and pointless.

  • It's really disturbing looking back in my past when my Father had anger management issues (I have anger issues too because of him) and i remember he used to spank me, but i probably deserved i mean i was a spoiled brat back then. The worst part is when he used to hit my mom and i would shred into tears watching painfully.Ugh.

  • @skllpirates12457 Trust me, you'll never gonna forget your past, so I'll just tell ya to stop thinking about it coz it will cause you depression.. if you're living a normal life then live in the moment and you will hopefully have a better future

  • @skllpirates12457 Is your name Paris Hilton?? BOO-FUCKING-HOO!

  • whipping?spanking? you guys had it easy, my mom used to hit me with iron rods.

  • I was spanked as a child, and it has never turned me into a hardened criminal. As I got older, I began to understand why they did it and believe that sometimes, I could have ended up worse off. I think parents should have the right to physical punishment under special circumstances although it's still best to avoid this.

  • My parents spanked me when I was little, but looking back at it as adult, I probably deserved it. They are still the most loving parents in the world. I think it helped shape me into a better person. I know right from wrong and good from bad. There was no discipline with love. That's just B.S.

Hitting a child just teaches the child to obey out of fear. It even teaches the child to lie, to avoid a beating. You can discipline a child without resorting to physical violence. I agree that parenting includes teaching children right from wrong and good from bad, but it can be done without committing assault and battery. Parents who beat their children are committing a criminal act, in my opinion, and should be arrested for it.
