  • Fucking jealous haters sure don't see yall doing anything nearly that hood hopefully the stupid haters will push him to be that much better

  • I find it funny how people need to tear his playing apart, when most of us at 9 or 10 we were trying to master doing wheelies on our bikes. Of course his technique is not going to be perfected. Of course he is going to sound a little choppy. If someone is going to find nothing but fault, it's obviously out of jealousy. Let's fast forward 10 years, the haters aren't gonna have much to say then. This is just showing his early ablility for the guitar.

  • Let the boy have his fun!!! Cocky, big head??? Puuulllleeeeeease!!!!!!!

  • wow you can really see how modest he is about his playing...oh wait...i only saw the first second of the video

  • lol the Jimi hendrix Gimmick is the clearest to see! but thumbs up young fella.

  • The dude's barely 10 cut em some slack. He has a pretty good idea of what he wants to do with his life and is passionate about it, good for him. Time will tell... I think if doesn't end up dead at 27 from drugs and alcohol he will be a step above the rest! Either way I'm excited to hear what he will come up with once he finds his groove.

  • @NarrowIsThePath - Actually, he's like 12.

  • dude get back on ur skateboard and burn ur guitar. gary moore is rolling over in his grave with his hands over his ears after that butcher job

  • cocky little prick

  • This dude's awesome!!! I bow!!!

  • Ok no denying this kid is extremely talented....but he seems very very cocky for that age....I just also watched a video of him with Joe Bonamassa, and it seemed as is he had no appreciation of how generous this amazing man was being to him, taking time to show some of his special routines....I hope I'm wrong, and I hope I will be able to watch this kid grow up and love his music, like Bonamassa...but if he's as cocky as he seems, it might be hard

  • @joncool25

Actually, most my training was in classical arts and transcribing classical music, though I did do a lot of funk and blues, not a big BB King fan, like him but not a huge fan. I like the more intricate arts to be honest. As far as get over it? Get over what exactly, seems to me honesty is over rated when it comes to you. Never said he sucked, just giving out friendly pointers. Fast is ok, but lets clear up the playing a bit. Show boating should be second to clarity.

  • as he gets older, his 'talent' becomes less and less remarkable. soon he'll be average-at-best for his age. this isn't a 'jealous' opinion, this isn't a 'cynic's voice'. this is coming from someone who followed tallan from the beginning, having high hopes for him. he had a head start on guitar mastery, but now the ranks of mediocrity seem to be catching back up to him.

  • So what if theres a lil show boating , the kids put in a lot of hard work to play like this.

  • gice the guy a break, he's 10 to 15 years old so let him grow in to the music, he's got got good technicks so let him do his thing he'll learn to play that groove that you are looking for but he's feeling it now allready.

  • well I think hes awsome, hes at the age where hes loving and wanting to be his heroes, give him time.we will here this kid on the radio someday,he will someday progress to his own sound, his own style and his own show.hes got the passion,he loves the guitar you can tell.hes gonna go walk a few roads and he will slip and fall, but he will most likely come over it.maybe you say cocky,I say passion.hes not old enough yet to show what he really has,if he sticks with it,hes gonna be a monster....

  • people make him think hes better than he really is, and that went to his head. hes good for his age, but i guarantee you hes gonna crash and burn

  • just imagine him when hes older and has alot more experience

  • to me he just has speed

  • maybe it is emulation but hes not mimicking hes aspiring to be as good as his influence that my friend is inspiring keep up the gud werk tallan

  • the thing that is going to anoy him is when hes 18 there will be tons of guitarists his age who are just as good or better than him, and i dont care what anyone says his ego has deffinatly got the better of him.

  • Wow, if only I could play like him when I was his age now. I played Blink 182 and Green Day when I was 14 and this kid's already playing Gary Moore.

Keep up the good work Tallan! I'll be supportin' ya all the way

  • this kid has waht most doen't have, the soul,he becomes one.

  • One word : WOW !!!!!

    Eric

  • YOU HAVE TALENT DONT FORGET THAT KID

  • you go if thats your dream dont let any one else get in the way and if they say stuff to you turn around and keep playing and play and play and play

  • well.... Gary Moore didnt sing it well, i think he wasent a great singer, but this kid is even worse than Gary`s voice.....

GO HOME AND SUCK ON YOUR MOMS TITS AND COME BACK WHEN YOU GOT HAIR ON YOUR COCK

  • SE PUEDE SER "MADURO" MUSICALMENTE A LOS 10 AÑOS??

  • @IrishBull81 Ouch...that so hurt me...grow up, everyone's entitled to their opinion, except you

  • Allow the boy to mature then criticizes him for being better than you . He can play and eventually he will produce his own stuff. The kid is good and should be appreciated for it. I hope he continues playing, he is extremely talented.

  • hes 10 of course he's going to act like his idols, fucking jelous assholes =/

  • exactly 1 yr ago today!

  • as good as he is, i really think he is spoilt... also, i dont think he has a good perception over his guitars, all the ones ive seen him have look like they should be on a death metal vid :S Anyways, he is good and i hope the best for him.

  • Comment removed

  • Keep going kid!! I'll buy anything you put out!

  • I think he is so bored. Is playing the same shit over the years... Man, move to another level. You were very talented, so get it again.

And one more thing, ¿what happened with your fuc ked eyebrows?

  • He needs to ignore the audience and focus more on the music and his guitar. Then he could blow minds. Very talented for his age though.

  • That's the way man !!!

This young man has everything !!

  • last time i looked up to my idols i couldnt play the guittar likethey did this kid is his own thing and hes better than his idols hes not just another amazing guitar player he is a musical prodigy at the age of ten if u can play like this at this young its not hard to make it some where so i agree with IrishBull81

  • Hugarian Dance + Full Version Fur Elise = Talent

Blues Rifts + Band = Bars

  • that song is called "for the love of god" by the way!!! not still got the blues and what does dat song have to do wit blues

  • He is extremely good, especially for his age, but he's also so antipathetic.

  • maybe its arrogance, maybe hes just being a kid....10 year olds tend to be pretty self centered, they cant help it...let him have fun

  • Not gonna say this kid doesn't have talent, but there is something about his playing that I can't put my finger on. It seems... VERY staccato to the point that it makes it sound a bit sloppy. I think he is more into show boating then getting into an actual grove. However, at his age he is playing better then I was at the same age, though I've got 26 years of playing down now, I'd love to see how he sounds 10 years from now.

  • @snausauges at his age, showing off is important to him , so it's understandable. It's this video though, that he does seem like a show off. He's a great player all round

  • @snausauges Agreed. I have just about the same amount of time playing as you do. I also play many other instruments than just the guitar; my main instrument is the bass. He needs to slow down and quite trying to be so choppy. It is his staccato and muting that is screwing it up. He is making the mistakes we all made when we thought fast was better.

  • hes not old enough to have sex yet his fingers on that guitar sound like sex

  • right im not hatin on him or tryin to start arguments or anyting but I juge peoples talent on how good their sound and playing is, not on their looks or age and well hes not that good at the moment ,maybe with a couple years more practice but right now hs not good enough to be on a stage

  • Somebody run over that annoying punk with a bus!

  • oh, this young man sooooo gets it. he is going to be a master's master.

  • Struts around like he's EVH, horrible tone, plays unnecessary crappy atonal pentatonic runs, and he's not close to doing justice to the beautiful melody of the song. You don't play the blues with ego, and you sure as hell don't do a tribute to SRV with that kind of awful dissonance... he's turning in his grave.

  • I WISH MY HUSBAND WOULD HAVE THAT KIND OF TALENT...LOL....

  • wish him all the best. hopes he 's gets a job in the music biz, but still hiiting a few duff notes....Easy to copy but let him try to write something, err can he?

  • Someone is bitching about his clothes? It's rock and roll, ya snapperheads! If you want tuxedos, go listen to Mozart.

  • WOW!!!!

  • Sorry, it's not pure talent, it's pure ego. I've met talent, some of the greats in fact, and this kid is just an over ego'd kid getting plenty of attention. Once he gets some schooling in proper music theory, he'll be impressive. Good examples: Rick Wakeman's classical chops used in Prog Rock; Yngwie Malmsteens classical chops used in Metal; Phil Keaggy's classical chops used in various genres...I could go on...B.B. King's pauses in the phrasing provide so much more than overplaying.

  • @reidlowe Ego? You're full of that, Mr. "I've met some of the greats." Then you drop some random names like Malmsteen and BB King and try to sound intellectual, but really you're frustrated that this kid has a fan base and you have a basement.

  • @flicfan416 so you think BB doesnt qualify as a great?....btw im not a fan of yngwie but his technique is matched by veryyyyyy few

  • @clondan1 Of course I think BB king is one of the greats. he's the Greatest. But what the hell does he have to do with this kid? Thats what I'm asking, why the hell people need to draw comparisons. And I know Yngwie has great technique, i've known that for years. But I don't compare Yngwie to other guitarists, because he's fucking Yngwie Malmsteen and no one is like him. Just like how I don't compare BB king, and I certainly don't compare 11 year old Tallan Latz.

    Besides, Buckethead is the Best

  • @reidlowe :-) That's the worst comment I've ever read on you tube, and the most wrong! Tallen is floating on the crest of the wave, got no time for what you're suggesting. You may be focusing on the fact he's only ten here, and can't be expected to deal with it as perhaps you can nowadays? As a musician of 30 years dedicated practice, Tallon's my new teacher for now. Cheers dude, bless you, and keep on.

  • @reidlowe your momma got pure ego for making assholes like you if that kid doesn't have talent i'm the most talented guy in the world.

  • @reidlowe i agree completely....no doubt the kid is naturally talented...but ive been following him as he gets older and the attention has most definitely gone to his young head....i was reluctant to comment because i didnt want to seem like i was pissing on his parade. but talented or not his playing is total overkill. he can certainly use some lessons in showmanship and humility. its kinda like the one real good kid on the basketball team that never passes the ball and takes all the shots.

  • @bilvis48 he is just 10 you loser, get lost, I bet you're 30 or something and you still can't play like him, you're just bitter...funny how you say you were reluctant to comment yet you posted more than 3 comments, looks like you are the one after attention, no one cares about your thoughts, everyone is here to see the kid's video, not some ''Í'm jealous of a 10 year old'' guy

  • @IrishBull81 Irishbull81...hmmmm..where have i heard that before?....did you take someone elses call name?...it's certainly not yours.....stick around..

  • @reidlowe Had you mastered the human ego at 10? Have you mastered it now? A more accurate word to describe what you're seeing is emulation. He's mimicking those he looks up to as his idols. Perhaps focus your attention inward with the positive intention of improving yourself. In each of us is the potential for growth. In your thoughts about it, perhaps allow him the opportunity to explore his...growth.

  • @Pownadan This kid's amazing! Emulation or not. He's got incredible talent and will find his own voice in time,

  • @reidlowe You're a loser...

  • And, keep in mind I am not talking about my own skills here, but I have been playing since I was 13, I'll be 33 in june. Now that said, his playing frustrates the hell out of me. The lack of actual soul is one aspect, but aside from that he is a mediocre guitarist at best if we look past his age, he likely wouldn't get hired in many bands. He sounds liek someone who has been playing the wrong style of music for several years. I think he will find his niche someday though

  • @goemonronin even though he is an exceptionally good player..even i found a very evident lack of soul....but then he's eight what does he know about them blues ;)

  • @GauravLADWAL His ego is what he plays for...not the music. He's craving the acceptance and adoration of the audience...unfortunate, as some of the best players play for the soul/heart of the music...not the audience response...that just comes for free if you're good

  • i feel he is playing the wrong style of music

  • i get the blues. I get the blues listening to blues shit.

  • He played it good, but this song is a slow song with feeling. Gary Moore played it with heart and soul, the tones were beautiful and long. A little bit too aggressive, but it´ good!

  • What shouls we call him Tallan Hendrix or Jimi Latz! This is unbelievable. I just burned my guitar. :)

  • He is good!, would love to get him and Bobby together on stage check out at Bobby at SRVZEPP nice to see that clasic rock is goin to be here with these Kids

  • this kid's so phenomenal. once he grows up and gets past the awkward 10-year-old mannerisms he's got the potential to become an iconic musician.

  • 2005 called, they want their attire back

  • He has fire, that much is undeniable.

  • Jimi and Stevie have come back.

  • @lochraven21286 Yeah if they didn't have soul to their playing then yes they came back

  • WOW....Practice, practice, practice..since he was 4.

  • This kid has got some definite talent! I got goose bumps just listening to him play! It's like the souls Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn got together and said, "We'z gonna make a brain child" and BAM! Out comes this prodigy!!! Props lil man!!!!

  • i would really like a cd of him playing!!!

  • Did anyone else see that awesome strap he had? That thing was crazy!

  • 9 people are jealous classmates

  • This young man may be the best guitarist ever.

  • @doowopper1951 Youve obviously have never heard of Kurk Hammett, Randy Rhodes, Angus Young, Or Jimmy Page. This kid is amazing but not the best ever.

  • @joshtaylor44t Jimmy Page I've been listening to for going on half a century. I'd rate Tallan right up there with Jimmy, as he has the fastest fingers I've ever heard, and so much feeling. The other three I have not heard. That's why I said the kid MAY be the best ever, as I haven't heard all guitarists, and everyone has different criteria for judging. In any given discipline, I NEVER say someone IS the best, or even that I think they are the best.

  • @joshtaylor44t i wouldn't even say amazing really, off tempo, too fast for the style of music, mediocre at best

  • This kid is just too fucking cool!!!!.at the end : "there was a little gary moore for ya".....!!!

    Nice!

  • Look at his face. He's thinkin' evil, and when he's thinkin' evil he got the Blues (Howlin' Wolf). The face expressions tell it all.

  • Amazing

  • Amen finally someone who actually knows how to play, and will be inspiring to many youth's out there!!

  • 3:20 he made the guitar cry........WOW. Rock on, Rock on

  • The kid can play there is not another explanation. He already has it.

  • This is really cool. You are a good very player!

  • Great :)!.... Unlike a whole generation of kids wasting their time and talents playing video games...this kid is rocking out. He plays from inside ..:D ROCK on dude!!

  • The kid from Russia was far more advanced at the same age. Sure it's incredible to be playing like this at a young age. But if he sounds the same at 21 nobody will care.

  • @ralphspimp aw c'mon dude if hes playing like this at such a young age surely he can only improve as he gets older. so we might have some awesome new blues coming out soon :)

  • @ralphspimp agreed even I was better after six years of practice from a technical standpoint. I think this kid is a very sloppy player about 60% of the time, maybe more. Sweep arpeggios in blues and such in this style ... ugh

  • His strap is incredibly cool.

  • Another fantastic cover by Tallan.

  • His tone doesn't suck, the audio does. Come ON, man!!! btw, he has always had a strat - what's wrong with the PRS? Or any of the multiple other guitars he has been GIVIEN by various makers. They like his tone and I guess that's what really matters.

He IS Joe Satriani's dream - someone who is going to really shake up the guitar world - already has and will continue, hopefully, for more years than I have left :-)

  • As extremely talented as he is, his tone sucks, and for playing guitar for six years and gigging, he NEEDS to start playing better instruments and amps for better tone!.

  • @peaceskypeace13 I sence some real jalousy here..

  • @RealMusicMatters I think a lot of people are - there's that fantasy, that dream of breaking away into the love of your life during childhood - maybe it haunts lots of people, and for some of us, it's a reminder of our parents shutting the door so hard the very thing that called us suddenly seemed so far out of reach. I've been fighting to find my way free of all the classical training mine put me through for 20 years - there's still that feeling deep inside that only sometimes gets free.

  • @SavageInsight yes ur totally right! I'm jamming in town for about 5 days a week, and if I understand you correctly ur talking about that 1 in a 100 gigs time you got the feeling ur flying, and ur total feelings release itself on that very moment. And the next moment ur done ur like "whow, what the hell did I do". And it keeps you going on with playing guitar:) I know its a bit vague, but im from Holland, hard to express in English for me(A)

  • @RealMusicMatters you sence jalousy.. what exacly does jalousy mean..?

  • @peaceskypeace13 I think he just needs to flat out start playing better, screw the instruments. I think this kid has a while to go as a guitar player yet. People here are giving him way too much credit. If i were the rock I would tell him he's good .. but somewhere there is some 9 year old ... and he's just shreddin ... anywho as I have said in many comments mediocre at best.

  • somebody needs to get this young one a fender strat. wow, incredible. in ahhh. he loves to shred that pentatonic. 8 dislikes. wtf

  • Unbelievable! Incomprhensible! WOW! :)

  • Comment removed

  • Eight people give this a thumbs down? Eight people have no soul

  • Very nice job guy. Ignore all the sad envious wannabes on here...keep it up

  • You can play all you want.. do you understand what it means....thats what music is... feeling hurt, and making it beautiful.

  • what a waste!! just think of how good he could have been at guitar hero by now if he hadnt spent all that time practicing real guitar. sigh............

  • holy PRS!!

  • Notice how quiet the audience is.

    Wow.

  • 7 people have NO talent

  • His attitude will help him improve. And even if he's a little sloppy, compare him to all the other shits out there like rebecca black or some other dumb cunt autotuning spoken word into 'songs' and getting millions of hits with it.

    This kid deserves more.

  • I wish I could play like this kid. Not only can he play, but he can sell his playing like a pro too. Very talented kid.

  • Comment removed

  • that doesn't sound right... but keep practicing! :)

  • Hey.! Sorry about that last posting, posted to the wrong guy first. Then I realised .......... Basically both of them are .......ASSHOLES.

  • all use haters that are dissin the wee dude need to get a grip, listen to him ,hese not old enough to even have sex yet and he sounds like this on a guitar? hese a mini genius that is defo gonna go places in music and for ppl to comment on his dress sense , c'mon..... does it really matter? it isnt a fashion show its pure talent that deserves to get recognised and quickly

  • @waynekol1 i agree 100% but learn to spell dude

  • having played over 40 years, I'd love to hear him after he's had some grounding in good theory and practice. Seems he's more impressed with himself than the music. No doubt he has talent, just given too much latitude without some structure.

  • @reidlowe I agree completely with you, i'm not all that impressed with him to be honest.

  • just the fact that people are comparing him to steve ray at the his teens speaks for its self. either way the kid wins wow.....

  • RIP GARY MOORE

  • awesome, amazing! this makes me want to play again! for sure. I'm 31 but its never too late right?

    later on.

Dude as soon as you lay out some tracks on vinyl I'm buying! no doubt! kick ass from NYC! be well brother

  • Wow, It's awesome that pretty much most comments on here are jealous of the way this kid plays. He's amazing, and people see that and there offended at that. Doesn't matter anyway he's great at play while those who are jealous suck.

  • he can play good. More patience needed though! and someone should guide his dress sense. that image will ruin him

  • this kid having orgasms at such a young age isnt healthy and to have so many right after another

  • cant wait till he hits puberty

  • He's amazing but a little impatient. Can't hold a note like Stevie, he's always off to the next riff.

  • BLUES IS BACK!!!!!

  • he sold his soul to the devil when he was 5, there's no other explaination!

  • @Dutchzenguitar You may be right, but let me add this. Maybe he saw something real when he was 5 and had the choice to follow a dream and was enabled by his open minded parents to follow it instead of having his mind obliterated in the schooling system (the one that kills dreams). He plays like a person that has talent and conviction, and he's been inspired by some of the greats so in 20 years time come back to me and tell me how he sold his soul to the devil.................ASSHOLE.

  • @chaweng3beach Dude relax. First of all, the devil doesn't exist. It's just a 'on a tale based' explaination. like the story of Rob J.

As the story goes In the 1930’s where Robert Johnson ventured to a Mississippi cross roads at midnight to make a deal with the devil . The pact? Offer his eternal soul for Lucifer’s hellacious guitar tuning skills. With guitar in-hand, Johnson and the devil stuck an accord..

  • @Dutchzenguitar Neither does god.

  • @klbpluszdb exactly :D

  • @Dutchzenguitar altough we can't he's not real. Like Santa Claus. Because we've never seen him like we describe him.

  • @klbpluszdb Yay, finally someone who is man/woman enough to admit the truth.

  • he sold his soul to the devil when he was 5

  • This guy is going to be the next SRV...100% ...or JH...just a great little piece of 'talent' for sure !!

  • Beautiful!!

  • he shouldn't play solos he can't handle.

  • I don't understand those who don't like this. HE IS AWESOME!

  • yes but the thing he he is just a kid and will develop his own style as he grows at the min hes jut copying other older players, good work kid

  • Wow, he is great, the best I've heard in a long time. How ironic, dedicated to Gary Moore and he just passed away today Feb 6th, 2011, may he also rest in peace along with the other great musicians, so sad when we lose such talents.

Prove to the world you can do be the greatest musician too Tallan, best of life to you.

  • @grapevinelane I believe that it's dedicated to Stevie Ray Vaughan :) Well, that's what I'm gathering from the title. :D But yeah, R.I.P Gary!!!! True legend lost.

  • I agree that the showboating is a real problem for learning to feel this music. He's technical but this is the wrong genre to think unfeeling pyrotechnics will achieve much.

  • im sorry that was really awfull....

  • @GuitarEbb

Dude dont be a hater.. dude is like 11 years old...what the fuck were you doing at that age? .... I fucking can guarantee it wast Gary Moore covers..... ASSHOLE!

  • @WPGjuggalo Yes but as a guitar player, discounting his age, he isn't very good. That is the point that people are trying to make. Everyone is putting this kid on a pedestal, and he doesn't deserve to be there. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve a pedestal, just not the one people are putting him on. I can't listen to him for 1 minute, he sounds like exactly what he is, a 10 year old kid playin guitar. Better than some worse than many. I wouldn't even say he is average as players in gen go.

  • @GuitarEbb I pray Stevie is at home with the Lord and I thank God he sent us Tallan in Stevies place.....Tallan you have been blessed with an amazing talent. Please, please keep on blessing others in return. Give God the glory and repay unkindness with love always.

  • amazing! you will go far kid, :)

  • holy fn haters!! haha

  • The show boating is not impressive kiddo - have talent but a looonnnng way to go

  • @Billiardnut520 who said he was showboating maybe he just feels it likee bb king but standing up

  • He is very good for sure. Once he gets over the hot dogging and truly feels the music, not just plays it, he will be awesome and no doubt right up there with the greatest. SRV? He's got the tallent, but does he have the soul? Quite possibly, but only time will tell. I do hope so. With Stevie and Jeff gone I've been aching to see some really good blues.

  • the description implies that hes the reincarnation of SRV... ehm, no. stevie played with intensity that can hardly be described. he very often had to superglue his fingers shut when they split. this kids good, but hes got a long way to go. quit bein so cocky and fake, and just enjoy yourself. people will like you more.

  • Some of my HEROES hadn't touched a guitar yet @ his age, BRAVO young man, I'm sure I'l be seeking to see you live someday!!!!

  • sounds flat mostly

  • Why are some people so up tight, chill let the kid play, looks like he is having fun !

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • I think this very good for is his age...Bur hes really overated... He is insanely sloppy. If you really close your eyes...He doesnt sound good at all... And he acts way too cocky. With his fake emotions... Its just awfull too listen too.

  • @GuitarEbb dude how old are you?

  • @GuitarEbb i dont think u listened to the whole thing...

and he is young. give him 5 more years...we might just not want to say anything
