the unmasking missing eyeliner is a small goof, but the emotion of the scene is so strong, its like you hardly notice it. much like how everyone loves to talk bout bat nipples, but really who but the fags notice that crap?

anyway, brilliant movie. probably the last truly GOOD batman film. Forever was good too but not dark enough, and nolans films were darker yes but too serious and boring.

I know people question the unmasking simply because of the eyeliner, but this is by far the best part of Returns.

Also, throughout the film she speaks of herself as having nine lives. This also creates confusion to the viewer as you don't know if she is simply dillusional or if she really has been imbued with some supernatural life force that grants her multiple lives. It would appear( according to the end of the movie when she confronts shreck and gets shot numerous times) That the latter is true. But even then one could conclude that she was merely injured and later recovered from her wounds.

@DDRGURU56 tim burton has mentioned i interviews that he will always fight the urge to explain everything out in his films. he is a more visual director, and rather explains things through visuals then dialogue, which is why ni love his movies. a true artist.

The thing that I never liked about this movie is the fact that you never know what really happened to Selena Kyle when she was pushed from the building. It is possible to think that she simple survived the fall with some type of brain injury that somehow altered her persona. Or that she did die and was somehow magically possessed by cats or was somehow granted new life. There is just too much confusion there.

I find the lack of makeup right before he takes off his mask so funny.

They obviously knew it'd look ridiculous if he took off his mask and had raccoon makeup on; but they have him pause, with the mask still on, for about 2-3 seconds with no makeup even though just a few seconds earlier he had the makeup on. That could have been handled a bit better lol

@Jayzer313 lol you idiot, batmans suit was ALWAYS made of rubber in the movies and still is. but in the movie world they are obviously meant to be made of very tough bullet proof armor. its just in the nolan flicks they go inton detail about WHAT they are made up, but the begins suit and TDK suit are still good old fashioned rubber, even looks like rubber. keatons armor is bulletproof and his mask in the comics was never made of a very hard material,its meant to be cloth, but here its rubber
