Silva in the mw division winning his 5 last fights, and Liddell has lost 5 of his 6 last fights. White wants Liddell to retire, and a fight against Liddell would be unfair and a huge step backwards for Belfort. Liddell is one of the best LHWs in the history, he should retire before he will loose another fight, in my opinion

Remember him owning bonnar? that was after 9 months of pro fighting, Hammil after 18 months, Vera was under 2 years and then vladimir a hiding soon after. By the time Jones is able (ie after Bader and I guess someone else, and when Shogun is back/beats evans or whatever) I think he will ready for a shogun or other top guy. Also now he will have great coaches/sparring now hes hot property

(yup thats right, twice) he actually got surgery and is healing it properly, thats why its taken him so long to return. now he will be back better than ever. jones has no chance.

One thing about UFC which i actually love is the fact that everyone in their career get ko'd no matter how good they are, shit even GSP got ko'd/tko. It could have been Anderson Silva or Belfort but I guarantee you right now if Belfort had landed a kick like that you would not have been saying that Belfort landed a lucky kick. You would be praising him right now for landing such a kick against Anderson. And that shoulder injury is another excuse and Silva was recovering from a broken rib to so they both had previous injuries.

@JustGotToBe Yeah Belfort have been out for a while before and he has come back and knocked out his opponent. And you can believe what you want to believe but I respect results and I have seen that kick land before in other mma fights and seen the same kick done by other fighters the exact same way. That kick is just like a flying knee if you execute and land it right it will be effective. Belfort stood flat footed in the exact same spot like for 5 seconds that's enough time for 8 kicks.

Cause ive been watching UFC since the beginning and i sure as hell dont remember seeing that in the UFC. And you are right a front kick and a flying knee do share one thing in common, they are both fucking extremely rare and extremely hard to land. Silva flying knee against Demian Maia,Israel Albuquerque,Tony Fryland, and fucking epic flying knee against Carlos Newton. Your are aware there are other MMA organizations another fight when this kick happen was the Cory Tait vs. Dino Gambatesa fight. I believe a Japanese fighter also landed the kick but I have seen mutiple flying knees in other fights has well.

When you look back at the time Vitor began in UFC he was a beast. Not many could keep up with him he fucked a legend like Wanderlei up in 44 sec.
But than his sister got kidnaped and later they found her bones it was a devastating lost for Belfort he was never the same fighter again. First now i see potential in him i hope he can beat Silva.

@planeviewer I don't see the reason why they should fight at this moment, as they are on different aspects in their lives right now. Belfort is a title contender against A. Silva in the mw division winning his 5 last fights, and Liddell has lost 5 of his 6 last fights. White wants Liddell to retire, and a fight against Liddell would be unfair and a huge step backwards for Belfort. Liddell is one of the best LHWs in the history, he should retire before he will loose another fight, in my opinion

Remember him owning bonnar? that was after 9 months of pro fighting, Hammil after 18 months, Vera was under 2 years and then vladimir a hiding soon after. By the time Jones is able (ie after Bader and I guess someone else, and when Shogun is back/beats evans or whatever) I think he will ready for a shogun or other top guy. Also now he will have great coaches/sparring now hes hot property

@jimmicrackhead12 the reason shogun hasnt showed his talent is because of his knee. before he faced griffen, he just came out of surgery and didnt heal it properly, same thing with coleman. he hurt his knee AGAIN. and came back to get liddell, but it still wasnt healed properly. after anihilating machida TWICE. (yup thats right, twice) he actually got surgery and is healing it properly, thats why its taken him so long to return. now he will be back better than ever. jones has no chance.
