  • what an awesome description in the description box :) really made sense

  • very entertaining =)) thanks for posting keep it up .. god speed

  • is this india or pakistan ???

    seems like india

    by the attire of women

  • LOL call them whatever you want but they are gay men in dresses! It's just an easier way to accept homosexuality. Same in Iran you can only be gay if you have a sex change. Sad but it's the truth

  • this one is an indian video

  • i remember this used to be a regular feature in lahore weddings and births as well. the last i saw was at my nani's house in 1988. its changed now though and may be the activity exists in smaller towns but not in lahore at least. quite sad actually, since the hejra dances were my first encounter with them and one learns about the variety in this world and how to respect it. Thank you for the post, took me down memory lane:)

  • @yamlark What a nice sentiment.

  • I proud to be hijra! god bless all hijras in the world!

  • god bless all hijras

  • I'm Indian...and I don't hate Pakistan.

I'm glad people can live in peace. ^ ^

  • ohh my god!! we went to my auntz wedding in india and these ppl came for like 2 days!! it was so funny watching them dance. they sucked tho. and they were pretty mean..

  • did not knew this thing (hijra dance) still exsist in India :)

  • i think they pay the postman to know when the weddings happen..each district has an order as to which band of hidras goes where..to ease turf battles..it is very interesting.

  • live in peace love life of east

east is east so be one eastern culture n life

  • bless all of them

im pakistani n i dont hate india

    i love india :D

  • Damn, nobody would dance with her. I felt sorry for her. I wonder if she cursed them at the end.

  • i think we avoided any curses...from the hidras at least..lol:)

  • her or him? lol u cant tell for sure!

  • Great stuff!! I suggest you link this to DynamycDesi - they give weekly rewards to such talents and are a good site to help you promote.

  • I like to become hijra pls help me

  • its the same thing in pakistan we call them kusresz...lolsz...they come for weddings or when baby boysz are born :S

  • I think the point is to embarass ... youpay them to go away...that is what I read anyway

  • money is a part of it for sure...they do enjoy performing too. they gave me some kind of lucky charm that i will open with them when i have my first baby... i did not open it yet. :)

  • Nice video.

  • was that ur husband dancing wiv de red 1?

  • no his cousin.we had not come out yet.

  • they were joking with him saying he is the one who got married.

  • these hijras are an interesting bunch. on my trips to india, i found them to be quite entertaining but they can create quite a scene also. at least they have found a way to make money especially in the society they live in.

  • omg i went to india last summer i was totally freakin out when i saw the hijras coming up to beg for money, i can't imagine having them at a wedding!

  • it's nice of them to have them at the wedding, what should they run and hide in caves? the world has a place for them...they're good musicians too!!

  • my husband said the hedras are outside i did not know what to expect..it was a, wild experience.the one in the red was entertaining and funny.i thought it was funny to see her push the limits with her dancing(like that touch at the end)she made my inlaws blush!

  • lmao the one in the red suits a little bit of a slag by the looks of it lol no offence.the one whos dancing

  • yes

  • was this in india?

  • yea its in punjab

    they are just begars

  • yeah pretty much...they can be ruthless as well if you do not give to them..

is it true the police will not often delegate disputes with them and non hijras?

  • proanthay tar lo gobi walay she said i feel hungry ... lol

  • hehe funny stuff man :)

  • when it came time for them to get paid. they wanted more money than was the normal fee and they started taking off their clothes in hopes that we would pay them to keep their clothes on!to bad i did not get that on film...

  • backwards strippers, GREAT!!!! jk.
