Here in US we use bikes for fun & pleasure while in India they are used for daily commute. They go to work and go grocery shopping and even take families out on them. You can see a guy driving a bike with a wife and a kid on it. They are work horses. Not racers. They just transport u from A to B. They are built to last and give maximum efficiency of miles per gallon. An average Indian bike does about 200 miles to the gallon. Does any bike in US give that much?

I am just wise enough to know what bikes suit what conditions.

I did ride a Bajaj Pulsar in India before I moved to US. I also rode a Kawasaki ER-6n on Indian roads. Trust me, sports or super bikes won't last a day on those streets. You're shocks will fall apart and bike will be scraped by passing traffic. You can't cross 35 mph even if you wanted.

Just watch some videos on youtube on how Indian roads are (traffic is horrendous) as a result of 1.2 Billion population.
