  • Excellent Job!

    SP

    mw

  • Awesome video

  • Very good

  • That was amazing! Im going to the reserves soon! cant wait

  • Best wishes to all vets, and active duty. Especially those who risk all 'So That Others May Live'. I'm a disabled vet, and these guys have my utmost respect.

  • I managed to Serve 7 months in Service in USCG due to Disabilities.Im really disappointed in my self not continuing on.Join because i love America and whilling to take a bullet for the sake of others.Saving lifes is just the ultimate sacrifice one makes without thinking of our own(thats how i was)and rdy to die for my country.Sum people join cause of benefits, but not the true intention of saying"im a solider o coastie and im ready to give my life for freedom.Sad couldnt finish my contract. USVET

  • I've blocked lietzke. Saves us all a bunch of trouble. He's just a troll looking to provoke a reaction. Now we won't have to deal with his crap anymore.

  • @lietzke You are Wrong we risk our lives for people and all you do is complain?

We go out but we don't always come back. think about what you say before you say it.

  • @15metal4life What you dont understand is NOBODY CARES!! All we want is for you to put in an honest days work for your $15,000 salary. WORK!! Do something!!! So you sit around and swill draft beer on the off chance that once a decade some drunk idiot may tip over his seadoo? Sorry, that doesnt cut it.. You dont join the coast guard, YOU END UP THERE!!

  • @lietzke Tell that to the thousands of people we save each year and tell that to the durg lords who loose over 68 bill a year in drugs thx to us. and pus units are in iraq and in allmost any port that the us is useing in a time of war.

  • @LPNhogue Do your research, the CIA brings over 80% of the drugs into this country. Without drug money most of our banks would fail. Do your homework would you please? Before you come on line and run your yap..

  • Semper Paratus brothers.

  • @lietzke you can go fuck youer self i do not see you going out in 50ft seas to save sumone you do not know. or keaping are coasts safe frome drugs. If we are not military than y the fuck are we in iraq!

  • @LPNhogue I wouldnt pay lietzke any attention. I see him on nearly every Coast Guard video. He is an arm chair civilian.

  • semper paratus psu309 class oscar 177

  • I figure I'll put Operations Afloat in Alaska for my wish list at boot camp in a couple years. Sounds like a really intense and rewarding experience.

  • @lietzke Oh...here you are again! What a nice surprise to see you spilling more garbage withoput appropriate knowledge or experience. Happily, most REAL veterans know that we are all brothers and sisters in arms, and that there are FIVE armed forces......no matter which Department we're under, or what color our uniform is. We all defend the Constitution and the flag of the United States.

  • X-151, miss more than ever! A job worth doing and a life worth living!

  • 1:06 tha coast guard has CIWS?!

  • @williamss666 Indeed they do. Only on certain cutters though. High Endurance and National Security cutters I know for sure. It ain't the newest and the latest like the Navy, but we make do with what we got.

  • @williamss666 yes they do due to the fact that they have no outher way or outher ships to fend off aginst a missle atack.

  • @williamss666 what are CIWS?

  • @bobbyb618 It stands for Close In Weapons System. Its a 20mm gatling gun linked to a radar which can track & shoot down incoming targets. Missiles, aircraft, etc.

  • Good Video not one day goes by that I dont miss the Guard.

  • Semper Paratus

  • Sabrina went through bootcamp with my boyfriend she is on my friends list on myspace im sure you are very proud of her

  • So Others May Live

    Future Coastie swimmer

  • Thank you for serving.

  • I have always loved the military. Its brave men and women who go through hardships to make sure that we can enjoy the freedoms that we have. Great video it tells a story about the best branch of the military. The men and women of the coastGuard are not in the lime light like the other branchs and they don't complain because they don't do it for the attention they do it for us. Thats why I love the CoastGuard.

  • Great video. Semper Paratus

    SN Pless

  • Very Nice Job on the video! I especially like the "You have to go out, but you don't have to come back." I got out in 1997 and I very rarely hear this quote anymore. To me it really says it all. Thanks for your work on this video

  • I don't hear it much either. I mostly see it in literature and the like. But you're right, it says it all. Selfless devotion to duty.

  • @kenberinc Who says you have to go out? You don't recall that phrase. "You choose your rate, you choose your fate" That's quite true. These many videos here on youtube show rates like BM,QM,HS,ASM, all being put in harms way. Choose a rate like MU, YN,SK and your chances of going out are much slimmer. In my 18 of my 20 yrs. of military service I was only aboard for 11 months once. Was never really in harms way then.

  • this is a great video much props i can't wait to do this

  • Bravo Zulu.

  • Like Our brothers the Marines there are no ex Coasties only former active duty. I am proud to wera that title.
