Petrucci has a very recognizable style, and while I readily admit that he's become too inclined towards meaningless shredding, I must say he has many memorable pieces. well if he wanted o be sloppy he would intentionally miss notes. if he plays cleanly at times ans sloppily at others it means that he is capable of playing some things and not capable of playing others and/or has a tone that covers up mistakes. whenever i see him play with a low gain tone he is sloppy as hell. you can't want to be sloppy and sometimes be clean. your lack of common sense is disgusting. it's also funny how you assume im a kid because you disagree with me.

fluffy has the right idea. alexi's solos are easier, they are full of cliche patterns, and when i sat i full i mean FULL of cliche patterns, the fact that it took him this long to get clean and how he criticized petrucci for being clean, and the fact that his fans are ignorant fucktards annoy the shit out of me too. michael's solos are far less cliche, more technical, FASTER (deal with it, it's a fact), and more diverse. fuck alexi and his fans. they're all dickweeds.

whoah, hold on a second there. im a fan of alexi's playing, i just think he is a dick. alexi is an awesome player, i just think it's blatantly clear that michael romeo is a BETTER player. i don't want people thinking that i consider alexi a bad player, i have just seen him be sloppy live and he is arrogant and TOO arrogant. he gives malmsteen a run for his money, i'd say he goes beyond that considering he actually criticized a cleaner guitarist than him.

Cause he doesn't have a unique sound because he uses normal picking ,alexi has unique sound,but what's the secret on alexi's sound?

IS his right hand technique,he uses a pinch harmonic-styled picking,Trust me,is VERY HARD to play with that technique,so that's the reason why his technique is not as good as romeo,but of course Alexi does another crafts that beat Romeo.
