How can these men and women who take the oath to protect and enforce the laws for societies benefit allow themselves to be called *insert city*'s finest. The 7 or 8 minute video by @itZDeaMan and the countless others show that these acts are not one time incidents. How can we try to rule and control matters in other countries when we have a bigger problem here.
He didn't know why he was stopped by the police? If that is referring to the driver he broke a traffic rule - if anything he should just have gotten a warning or maybe a ticket, but if it is reffering to the dog walker then perhaps it is because he interfered with police businees and to use that word again it was none of his business to interfere. Stay out of it. What is with people who can't stfu and mind their own when it does nothing except lead to you getting you ass kicked understandably.
First off, the incident is caused by a dispute over whether a rule was broken at all. The fact that some authority figure says a rule was broken does not make it so. Don't be such a blind follower. Buffalo will blindly follow each other right off of a cliff. You can rise above such lowly herding beasts by refusing to blindly follow authority. Think for yourself.
Secondly we have a responsibility to our fellow citizens to protect each other, especially against violent criminals. Minding your own business while government thugs are stealing money at gunpoint from an honest innocent citizen is a great and cowardly way to get us all targeted by such thugs.
I would like to believe that most government officials are not thugs or criminals. But government doesn't police itself. Only outside governments or ordinary citizens can do that. Would any American trust outside governments to protect American citizens from their own government? Nope. That leaves we the people as the only means of curbing abusive government. If we lack the courage or will to do so, we will surely fall under tyranny.
The best way to protect our government from being run by criminals is to remain vigilant and take quick nonviolent action at the first sign of abuse. The dog walker was doing his civic duty by offering his eye witness testimony in support of the accused. The police do not have the legal authority to arrest someone for offering such testimony. They had the legal authority to tell him how far away he must stand while they conduct their business, but no legal basis to detain or arrest the man.
It is clear that the cops decided to break the law and assault this poor guy simply because they didn't like him pulling out his camera. Their actions were not guided by the law, but by the perception that they are above the law. Do you believe they should be above the law? It seems like it.
Suggestion: wait for the officer to finish the cite, get the drivers attention and exchange info. show up to court and defeat the citation....nonetheless, the citizen was not wrong.
There's alot going on in this video. I would need to see the entire video un-edited. It appeared to me that one officer managed to get one hand in a cuff, then the struggle followed. If an officer manages to get one cuff on a person, but the person fights back, they cop will escalate force to gain control...a cuffed hand can become a huge injury/safety issue. However, it all goes back to whether the detention was lawful at the start...it was not. Possible false improsonment...
I was going to say cops can't ask you for your id if your walking, its not required when WALKING, only when driving, but i read the description. if they took my phone i'd say gl, because i numberpad lock it, and would have them in court for messing with MY shit.

With all the disciplinary actions going on, Mr. Rosenthal et al, were already in hot water with the police union. Rosenthal's job was in jeopardy, so he let one go...clearly.
I'll answer this one. Private conversation is protected by the 1st amendment. It especially protects witnesses discussing an error by government officials. Interfering with this conversation was violation 1. Taking video of a false arrest is also protected by the 1st amendment. The police objected to this, which lead to excessive force being applied during a false arrest. That's violations 2, 3, and 4, including 4th amendment violations defined under the Civil Rights Act of 1871, Section 1983.
@rentcarotid I appreciate your intelligent non-hating response!!! While I don't agree with you, I do appreciate and level headed productive debate in this matter. You are right on some points such as private conversation and videoing is a right. Interfering with an officers investigation is not. This guy did not have a video camera, the video is from city of Denver. This was not excessive force, it was force, not pretty, but it was force, not excessive, what proof do you have that it was?
@rentcarotid I appreciate your intelligent non-hating response!!! While I don't agree with you, I do appreciate and level headed productive debate in this matter. @rentcarotid Continuing.....4th Amendment was not violated, there was not a search and seizure issue here at all! This was a case of whether the person in questioned interfered with an activie Police investigation and whether the person in question violated the law by refusing to cooperate with the Police. The only other part in question is how force was applied, was it reasonable or not. I think it may have been a little rough, not what I would have done, but it doesn't make it illegal either!
If you are in disagreement with past court decisions then make that clear. The courts have concluded that the use of excessive force to 'seize' a person is an unreasonable seizure in violation of the 4th amendment. Whether the force used was 'reasonable or not', as you stated, is in question. And that is a 4th amendment issue under the reasonableness clause.
@deputycorndog Its not illegal to beat a man in the face while he is being hold by another cop just for asking some question or walking in America? THank god I don't live there.
@aaronbobaron I do not recall ever hearing the DA agreed that they violated his 4th amendment. I heard everyone from the independent monitor, to city attorney agree that the officers were within their rights. Its an interesting subject because this isn't as clear cut as some of the other more notorious videos of Denver officers clearly violating someone's rights!
@aaronbobaron What 4th amendment right was broken arron? This isn't a search and seizure case! They didn't violate any amendment, this tool clearly broke the law, the DA chose to drop it under pressure from all the other questionable incidents that happened around this time. atleast u ppl get to sue cops in ur country...in india...ha ha ha...even lawers tell us not to lodge cases against the police....cause it will never make it to a judge...
the dogwalker did nothing wrong, he just needs to keep repeating "Am I under arrest, or am I free to go?" - they will eventally let you go, and if you keep your cool and just keep saying that phrase they shoulnt beat you - if they do, and you get proof your gonna be rich!
Police immunity should end now. Law enforcement can be done without it. A citizen's arrest can be accomplished without immunity, but if done improperly the person conducting themselves improperly can go to jail immediately. The same should go for cops. These cops should be in prison. It is irresponsible as a society to allow them to do what they did and still walk the streets. They should be treated like ordinary criminals, because that is exactly what they are.
woah that's an insane idea (not really) i've always though ounce there are allegations of a criminal offense that it should be left to a jury to decide if the officer is guilty
"They should be treated like ordinary criminals, because that is exactly what they are." You don't honestly see what kind of jackass this statement makes out to be?
Look moron, cops are like you and me and as it is with every kind of job in this world there is always going to be "evil seeds" - people who work in a line of work that they might be qualified for, but they lack compassion, empathy, retraint and have shitty temper to go along with it. That goes for all sorts of jobs or work
I agree cops are just people. But just as people with shaky hands aren't qualified to perform neurosurgery, cops with 'shitty' tempers and no restraint are not qualified to perform law enforcement. Not only are they not qualified but lack of restraint often leads to criminality. Which is exactly what happened in this case. And criminality in government is the worst type of criminality of all.
When those who are charged with enforcing the law choose to break it, it erodes faith in society's ability to enforce laws. Once that faith is erroded too far, the rule of law will cease to exist. If you enjoy living under lawlessness and/or tyranny, there are plenty of places for you on this planet to enjoy that lifestyle. But please don't start that crap anywhere near where I live.
BTW if you refrain from mindless insults, your arguments will be more credible.
well ashford should have not interfered but on the other hand the cops could have handled this less violent. I think both these cops should be put on the line and ten people go buy and punch them in the face. again sadly we hire stupid cops. again u only need a high school diploma to get one of these lousy paying jobs. and some guys get a power trip from a badge. i respect respectable police that understand I AM their employer, a US CITIZEN. they work for me, the people. not themselves.
wow that is bs but the guy is right this could happen to anyone, but lucky for those cops it was not me they were beating bc i would have defended myslef with deadly force
@Barrak6Hussen6Obama6 If you defend yourself you will receive an even worse beatdown and you will go to jail for it and the power horny cop will walk away laughing. The worst thing that could happen to the officer is a paid holiday
there was an officer in denver, colorado who threatened a woman that he would kill her and her child. he used this to get money from her and to rape her. she spoke to lawyers and they told her that they can't do anything to help her. denver's police are completely corrupt. they have a "you mess with us, we mess with you" policy (their words exactly). this kid is still an officer in denver... so i would be wary of the kind of people the officers in your area are...
Funny. I've been stopped and had to deal with the police numerous times. I've never been beaten, tased, shot or maced. Hmmmmm.............i wonder if it's because I DID WHAT THE FUCK I WAS TOLD!
listen idiot, just because you don't do what the police says doesn't mean you always need to get violence upon you. If they next time tell you to jump off the bridge and you don't and they beat you, IS THAT RIGHT?
They had a bad day. You dont know how frustrating it can be to see al these assholes everyday, Ofc someone gotta get their agression out. to bad it was a civilian
If you did what these cops did you would go to prison. You make me sick, trying to make excuses for these violent out of control thugs that should never have been cops in the first place.
For the record a person seeing this happen could run over the cops in thier car and justifiably say it was self defense of a person the cops were trying to harm or kill. Murder or assault is a crime even if you wear a badge and have had a bad day.
Those are some smart dogs not to bark or bit, because they would have been shot! But still usless animals for not doing shit about their master being attacked!
Are you all ready to accept this is a police state? then Watch Police State 2000,Police State 2,3 & 4,these documentaries cover the last 10 yrs of police training and millitarisation, they also cover illegal checkpoints, raids by black opps on sherrif stations, illegal foreign troops training on US soil to be used in times of unrest.People we're not in kansas anymore it's time to get clued in.Watch Sherrif Mack on youtube telling you what's going on!!! Join us Vote Ron Paul for President.
Cops have been corrupted for years but in a lot of cases 40 or 50 years ago they treated most with respect and were pretty lenient. I wish cops could be the same way now and days where they use good judgement on EVERYBODY instead of heartless robots.
Reading all the top comments makes me feel super smart in the sea of morons, but any ways if these types of situations were not caught on camera every thing would have went on like the cops never did any thing wrong, only when a camera is involved does a cops lie ever seem obvious
u know its people that decide to interfear with the police and fight the police u will lose one way or another because u can not out smart justice and people who hate the police r nothing but a bunch of dumasses i was a cop myself and theese comments ive seen on here u just got nothing better to do along with offending police officers and x cops like me
I wish there were a website that compiled the names of these criminals in uniform. I'd like to create google news alerts for all of them, so the news of their deaths can potentially brighten my day.
I thought simple Americans are dum but now i see that trained Americans Cops, Military and so on are more stupid. Keep up the good work guys show the world that even the law enforcers have to respect the law.
the instances of brutality are rampant. Who is re-training and ordering the cops to do this, DHS? City officials always claim it was an isolated incident but its not anymore, cops are being instructed to raise their force. Why and by whom?
FFUUUUUCKINNG PIIIIIIIIGs fuck this is so frustrating damn i just want to shove those sticks up their asses man i dont know why im passionate about this... fucking abuse dude
why is it when people bitch and complain about the cops they only half the footage and that half of the footage is what the cop does if want my simpathy show me the whole incident on tape until then fuck u do what u gotta do cop
I'm currently training to become a Police Officer for reasons very much akin to this travesty.
In this corrupt world it seems that those who claim to uphold the law are themselves the polar opposite of lawful. Yet one thing I must say. How about instead of sitting behind your computer screen sinking down to their level, you do something about it. Join the Police force. Do it how it should be done.
If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.
@SnowClaus Not everyone is meant to be a police officer, it's not just something everyone can do. We shouldn't HAVE to join the police force to have them do their jobs properly, don't do the things that you are supposed to be preventing.
ABUSE OF POWER BY POLICE SHOULD BE DEATH PENALTY OR LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT PROBATION!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD START A PETITION IF I KNEW HOW!! SOMBODY PLEASE START A PETITION> MAKE IT A FEDERAL AND STATE LAW! abuse of power or exsessive force as they call it!
They haven't been disciplined. If anything they got paid administrative leave and the department of internal investigations found the police did nothing wrong.
@wiccanmoonman Of course they're needed, but we need them to be trained, educated, and with an overall better attitude and outlook. Good thing the man's harmless little dogs didn't bark to try to protect their master or the cops probably would have shot them on the spot.
Right now any thug can become a cop and they're like a pack of wolves. That's not how it should be. Situations like this simply should not happen.
@Blayzefyre I didn't see anything the cops did was wrong the ASSHOLE got what he deserved he should have minded his own business the jew basterd is just looking for a pay day. I hope someone kills him it would a tragic suicide. LOL
Those two creeps are criminals, they are employed to uphold the law yet they brake it and abuse their power, just because they have a uniform shouldn't prevent them from being locked up like any other criminal and they should never be employed by the police force again.
For police to be doing this sort of thing in broad daylight they must feel confident they are going to get away with it, it makes me shudder to think what goes on at night if they feel reassured they will not be seen.
I agree they didin't have a right to do it, but the guy shoulda just kept walking. The person who didn't stop probably would only have gotten a warning, and wouldn't have gone to jail. It's two and two here. The cops did use excessive force, but the guy should've kept walking instead of trying to be a vigilante.
Seriously? You sound like those wives that get beat up and excuse them for doing so. The guy did the right thing by saying I will testify in court cause he did not pass the stop sign. Come on! If we go by your logic, we will all be in a world where 1984 by George Orwell wrote about!
They had no right to hit, or detain that guy. They really had no right to ask him for ID. They were going to use it against him to retaliate. There should not have even been an investigation. The video speak volumes. They BOTH should be fired. And, brought up on criminal charges, AND taken to civil court. Until still like this is done, the police stop. Also, they need to pass a federal law that people can defend themselves from the Poice without the feat of felony charges.
lol @ the comments. you people are just as bad as the idiot cops in these videos. people writing comments like "FUCK THE POLICE" and "kill those fuckin pigs" and other bullshit like that need to grow up. doesn't anyone think rationally these days? you're really tough and anti-establishment on the web but you don't act on your 'beliefs' in the real world. why not help the situation instead of spreading hate on youtube?
@jwtoogood86 yea Why put him jail and have our tax money pay for his keep in there.Hell no send his ass to Texas and , execute his ass and no one has to pay to keep his ass no more..
Some cops r fukwits like this, others are nicer then my grandma.....
I remember when i was near 19 i got into a argument with a guy (kid from school i never saw eye to eye with) but nothing was going to happen, it was just verbal tennis going back and foward talking shit....... out of no where he gets hit in the side with a nite stick and was jumped and slammed to the ground and his face mashed. i grad the guy(turned out to be a UC off him and threw him to the ground) then i was punched in the
@LeoYoungMusic face twice grabbed thrown to the ground and got the same treat ment while the dude i knew(argument with) was sat on, he was bout 5'8 and weighed like 70kgs-154lbs so he wasnt going to resist arrest.
me on the other hand im 6'2 100kgs-220lbs i was on the ground doing what ever they said and i was kneed in the cheek. It broke my cheek bone, jaw and knocked out 5 lower teeth(got knocked out. i was put in the ambulance and taken to the hospital.
@LeoYoungMusic had a face reconstruction wired jaw and dental. not to mension charged with assult on a police officer who i thought was a radom guy starting fights. but it had turned out someone had been filming the whole thing wrote down his name and number and put it in my pocket while i was on the stretcher and also gave a second copy to the medic.... charges where dropped on both of us, 2 officers got 6 months probation and 3 months leave without pay, and the department paid the medical bill
@LeoYoungMusic Where im going with this is that the person that helped us through it to the end was the cops partner that kneed me in the face making sure he got wat he diserved...... So there are good and bad police!!!
One more thing, my girlfriend's family are American citizens but their native country is Australia actually, so the next time u wanna call someone a "dumb American," realize that your speaking badly about your own as well...
Its sad, but we have to come to the realization these police officers will be back on duty very soon with no charges or diciplinary actions taken. Remember, they govern themselves. Internal affairs investigation, my ass. Just finiding ways to cover their ass. Police are given authority by the people, and must be accountable when this authority is abused.
Thats Bullshit A!If it was a normal person of the public that hit him he would of got jailtime!I reckon cops should get punished the same as anybody in the world!Justice my ass!!!
@N2thedrink Wrong answer. Killing cops won't accomplish anything other than steeling their resolve and encourage their typical behavior. These are husbands, wives, fathers, and mothers too.
What we need to do is keep filming them. Continue holding them accountable for their actions and remind them that THEY'RE NOT ABOVE THE LAWS THEY ENFORCE.
Remember, filming police actions is not illegal and the POLICE DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO CONFISCATE YOUR RECORDING DEVICE.
I seen this one on the news. The cops had a guy pulled over for running a stop sign. The guy who's getting beat up was walking his dogs and came up to the guy in the car saying that he seen him stop and that he would testify in court on his behalf. He then pulls out his camera and starts video taping and that's when the ass kicking started. God damn I hate the fucking cops. Cops are the fucking shit of the fucking earth. They are abusive by nature and join the pig force to have a avenue to vent
They were just protecting and serving him, the real problem was that the protect and serve were stuck in the cops' fists' and they couldn't un-clench them
The cops lost both cases because the showed everybody that they were guilty for pulling that guy over and they violated the 4th amendment with the witness. The witness is getting paid because the police tampered with a witness.
@hstone39 can you post information on this case supporting this? id be interested in following this story? i bet the cops have their own country club somewhere called prison for cops.
Police are the scum of the earth. They lie, cheat, steal, cover up. They are bullies by nature and be cops so they can have a avenue for their hate and rage. Cops are scum, I'd rather have Osama Bin Laden in my home over a fucking cop. Anyone who's ever killed on is alright in my book
@itchyundies I think they were busy running around in circles imitating the dog on the commercial a few years ago, going... "BACONNnnnnnn!!!... I SMELL BACONNnnnnn!!!!... BACON, BACON, BACON!!!!"
This is awesome, I love seeing people getting beaten to shit by cops!

This was a case of whether the person in questioned interfered with an activie Police investigation and whether the person in question violated the law by refusing to cooperate with the Police. The only other part in question is how force was applied, was it reasonable or not. I think it may have been a little rough, not what I would have done, but it doesn't make it illegal either!
deputycorndog 5 months ago
@deputycorndog
If you are in disagreement with past court decisions then make that clear. The courts have concluded that the use of excessive force to 'seize' a person is an unreasonable seizure in violation of the 4th amendment. Whether the force used was 'reasonable or not', as you stated, is in question. And that is a 4th amendment issue under the reasonableness clause.
rentcarotid 5 months ago
@deputycorndog Its not illegal to beat a man in the face while he is being hold by another cop just for asking some question or walking in America? THank god I don't live there.
philateliceun 2 months ago
@aaronbobaron I do not recall ever hearing the DA agreed that they violated his 4th amendment. I heard everyone from the independent monitor, to city attorney agree that the officers were within their rights. Its an interesting subject because this isn't as clear cut as some of the other more notorious videos of Denver officers clearly violating someone's rights!
deputycorndog 5 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@aaronbobaron What 4th amendment right was broken arron? This isn't a search and seizure case! They didn't violate any amendment, this tool clearly broke the law, the DA chose to drop it under pressure from all the other questionable incidents that happened around this time. This tool was clearly in the wrong, thats why the independent monitor Rosenthal did not recommend discipline in this case, nor did the DA, City attorney, Internal Affairs or anyone else, except the media!

They should be treated like ordinary criminals, because that is exactly what they are.
rentcarotid 6 months ago 21
@rentcarotid
woah that's an insane idea (not really) i've always though ounce there are allegations of a criminal offense that it should be left to a jury to decide if the officer is guilty
tubevideoguy762 5 months ago
"They should be treated like ordinary criminals, because that is exactly what they are." You don't honestly see what kind of jackass this statement makes out to be?
Look moron, cops are like you and me and as it is with every kind of job in this world there is always going to be "evil seeds" - people who work in a line of work that they might be qualified for, but they lack compassion, empathy, retraint and have shitty temper to go along with it. That goes for all sorts of jobs or work
ClownViolenceBoogie 1 month ago
@ClownViolenceBoogie
And criminality in government is the worst type of criminality of all.
rentcarotid 1 month ago
When those who are charged with enforcing the law choose to break it, it erodes faith in society's ability to enforce laws. Once that faith is erroded too far, the rule of law will cease to exist. If you enjoy living under lawlessness and/or tyranny, there are plenty of places for you on this planet to enjoy that lifestyle. But please don't start that crap anywhere near where I live.
BTW if you refrain from mindless insults, your arguments will be more credible.

Have to side with the cops
1st off the city is broke and they need some CA$H
So the cops are sent out to write Tax I mean citations to people
These citations are used to fund things that the city needs.
Like make speeches, have parties, buy furniture and so forth.
This out of control man and his attack pitbull tried to stop that with the truth.
