  • ;holy shhhh 2:38

  • YEAAA 2:39 MEEN

  • Best party 5.05-5.25 . I love this song !!!

  • boring to me atleast...

  • He's still got it. One of the all time greats. And now I must buy this album...

  • Very interesting solo at 3:11 . Satch has a very original take on modes and theory.

  • @kristofor12345 more like 2:39 .....

  • i just wanna rock ....

  • Joe Rules the world and every other dimension here and there!

  • some1 knows if he is using the Dimarzio Paf Joe at the rithym position?

  • fat tone. me gusta

  • white no sorry i meant black oh haohohohoho whatever

  • wow.

  • cool riffs

  • it saddens me to hear satch's new stuff, because frankly, its so shite. Its like his creative juices since "Engines of Creation' have completely fucked off. Still a great guitarist though :-)

  • @benhj "Strange Beautiful Music" was good though. Super Colossal was okay. The rest are sad. ):

  • best tone ever. even if some one can copy all his music perfectly, there are just extremely tiny things he does that can only be done when you truly put your soul into your music. and everyones is different. no one can ever match his.

i get teary when i think of what will happen when he dies. :'(

  • 6 people are stuck in the past

  • 6 people don't know what true virtuosity is... Hail Joe Satriani!!! xD

  • OH MY GOD... <3 <3

  • 0:00 sry i had to post a replay button ))

  • genius: an exceptional natural capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative and original work in science, art, music, etc

Sounds like Satriani fits that definition to me.

  • If there's guitar god - it sure looks like Satch. And i believe in Him. HALELLUJAH XD

  • If there's guitar god - it sure looks like Satch...and I believe in him. HALLELUJAH xd

  • @theawakener7 I'm not a man of God myself, but your beliefs are your beliefs. I personally enjoy his mellower rock as opposed to his harder rock from the 80's and 90's. I was just saying that you were speaking for all satch fans when you are really speaking for yourself, even if other people do think the same.

  • @theawakener7 .. if you actually followed him, you'd know that was settled years ago.

  • @theawakener7 Can't say that I agree. To me, there's no such thing as a mediocre Satriani album. To be sure, Joe's sound is a bit different now than what you'll hear on Not of This Earth and Surfing with the Alien, but I thought Super Colossal and Professor Satchafunkilus were both first rate. Also, when Joe does try to do something different, i.e. Engines of Creation, a lot of fans moan and groan about wanting to hear the Joe they're used to. It's all good, including this album.

  • Here's to many more years of Satriani.

  • Bought this album, probably the best $25 I've spent in the last 10 years. It's THAT good.

  • Joe is great guitarist ! He inspires me everytime I go to school or playing guitar.

He's just amazing... Nobody can't dislike him.

He inspired me to make THIS : youtube.com/watch?v=Lr11uH9iRJ4

  • hum...zzzz

  • This track was utterly ruined with loudness processing. The clipping constantly assaults the ears. Joe: please sack the idiots responsible.

  • Железо Баце

  • 6 people have no ears...

  • Best song from "Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards" album!

  • I don't know, you guise. Satch is solely the reason that I picked up a guitar 5 years ago (I'm 20), he's a genius of a guitar player, and my favorite of all time, but prof. satchafunkilus and this record have been letting me down (with a few exceptions like "I just wanna rock"& "Premonition". I mean, maybe it's because I am a young fan, whereas someone who has followed him for 20 years+has evolved their taste in music. The music is composed is complex, but offers no adrenaline like 1BigRush!

  • @RippedSupreme to me......this is his way of saying "im sorry for the last album" :P haha.......cuz i hated prof satch and musterion........best album is the extremist to me tho!!!

  • @RippedSupreme Well he said in his podcasts that this album is a lot of exploration, spanning many genres (ex. Golden Room was inspired by Indian music). I see what you mean, it's really different from his other work, but the more I listen to it, the more I feel like he's putting way more than music in this album. It's almost a journey of the mind.

  • @CanimCursor He said his mom passing away really helped him put his heart into this album.

  • Satriant meets ZZtop = JoeJoeTop, JJTop?

    a good thing!

    cooool

  • Joe Satriani, enough said, the album is great. His album Strange Beautiful Music is my favorite.

  • yeah its a great album, not my fave but yeah this song is awesome as

  • One of the things I respect with JS so much is he is such a consistently excellent writer/composer. Now in his 50s, his new material is as good if not better than his offerings of 20 years back. He has never lost his edge.

  • @DiGiTaLdAzEDM

I think every album sharpens his edge. Each one gets better than the last, but all are as good as each other at the same time. I mean, he doesn't even look 50. I swear his music keeps him young.

  • @LedSatriani: I agree. Joe just keeps on getting better and better.

  • @LedSatriani yeah, and notice how the members for megadeth look well in their 50's. not that i dont like megadeth, though.

  • @LedSatriani you are abosolutly right about all but,,,,, he's 55 still excellent! #1 in my book of guitarist!

  • with u on that one i still listen to the extremist now, such a great album start to finish. tho this songs good

  • Jammin Joe

  • SOMZÃO!!! Porrada! :) Boa satch!

  • Sweet Jamm,,''Joe Satriani'' Always comes Back at Ya, With some Good Stuff !!

  • The dude is a nut....in an amazing way

  • This is one of the best guitar players ever! He was teacher of Steve Vai!!!

  • @airHouse12 yes for like a few lessons when steve was a kid ;)

  • greece plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • KICK ASS new album....THNX

  • Am I the only person who thinks "The Extremist" his best cd? I love that album from start to finish, he writes songs! not just a bunch of notes to wank off 2.

Tears in the Rain & Why go together like We Will Rock You & We Are The Champions, you cant separate the 2. But dont get me wrong I love every Satch cd I own! And I own them not downloaded :) Support this man people!!!!

  • @Yngsatchvai

the extremist was good, but i liked "Is There Love In Space?" more.

  • damn this shit is illllllllll.... the mix reminds me of Crystal Planet

  • Excelente!!!!!! una obra maestra!! =)

  • JUST F@#$ING AWESOME

  • I'm a long year Satriani Fan bought my first album way back in the 90ies. On this particular album i think you can hear the influence from playing with Chickenfoot. It has more rythm guitar like parts and somehow i dont like it as much... yet!?

  • Satriani is not a simple gitar player! He feels all of the sound of the music in his body in his mind. There are some guy with better technics. But why can't they give us anything from his feeling. SATRIANI IS THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!

  • @Baskiller1 Joe has all the technique to school anyone and everyone, his magic is he has the discipline not to over use it, and yes, Satriani is the music

  • @GussieLockerby803634 if you wanna get his song BUY THE CD!!!

  • heard it recently in a car on a local pop station in rock rubric and it was great. forgot the title and now i've found it! so awesome.

  • this is superb

  • I don't feel anything when I listen to this..and I usually do when I listen to joe =(

  • @johannesskaun74 You mean you can't feel the groove? Somebody please take him/her to the hospital, don't worry the hospital will get your groove sensor to work again. ;D

  • Cheap Sunglasses - ZZ Top

  • @h0tsex0r you're right...it definitely has that vibe...even with the gritty tone and all.

  • @k0sta5 When I first listened to it, I was honestly hoping Joe would use the relaxing sections as a solo fill area. Not when the clean chords come in, the things @ 1:30 .

Honestly, I find that this track was just for enjoying a mastery of tone.

The double stops in this song are just so full of that savory distortion.

  • Wow, I feel like shit being a Satriani fanatic and just finding this album out. I knew he was coming out with an album but of course this is the first time i've used the computer in over a month. Satriani YOU"RE THE BEST FOR EVER AND EVER!!!!

  • This album has rekindled my love for the satchmeister!

  • mind blowing as always!!!!!

  • kickass.

  • Fusion Blue, That's what i think.

  • This song sounds an awfull like Satriani's "Professor Satchafunkilus"

  • these songs are pretty ok but i loved the old style hard rock of satch and this is more inspired by the less amusing chickenfoot

don't blame me for this but it isn't just my style although satriani is my hero but i rather hear him diong some pretty dam rock/metal like a crystal planet or a mind storm

    just my 0.02

  • P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N

  • Love it! as usual, but my Joe collection is taking over my CD rack :).......Not that I'm complaining

  • In the words of Marty McFly, and Doctor Emmett Brown, respectively:

    "This is heavy..."

"Weight has nothing to do with it!"

  • In the words of Marty McFly, and Doctor Emmett Brown, respectively:

    "This is heavy..."

"Weight has nothing to do with it!"

  • FUCK

this is AMAZING i cant BELIEVE how AWESOME this man is

    JESUS FUCKING SHIT

  • awesome!!!!!

  • Black Swan - this new album just rocks! Great stuff !!

  • this is why i will always take satch over yngwie. no need to shred incessantly for 4-5 minutes even though he CAN. we all know it. he writes actual coherent songs with feel, groove, and technical skill to spare. greatest guitar player alive.

  • @pressuredcontents It's a different feel tho, I love Satch's writing style but I've loved Yngwie's playing since I first heard him play. He is so much more than just alot of notes! It drives me nuts when ppl say that about Yngwie. MAB now thats 2 many notes but Unless you own the 1st 7 Yngwie cd's you really cant be the judge. If you own them then my apologies :) Listen to the song "Crying" by Yngwie or the solo to Dreaming, Hold On, Marching Out, I could go on forever. He plays with PASSION!

  • JS FOREVER!!

  • "strange beautiful music "

  • Awelot

  • anyone who has smart comments on this about this album not being breathtaking, play all these songs yourself then ill take you seriously

  • Pure gold.

  • holy shit.I never really fancied satch...but this song kicks ass!! anyone who appreciates rock will love this.

  • 4 ppl are virgins

  • 3 people are def

  • Im sorry but this is far from original or fresh. I was hoping satch's new album would bring something new to the table. this is good but far from excellent, it's far too generic. it sounds like every other satch song

  • @jckbac9 You made it to the end?

You deserve an award or something

  • @jckbac9 Actually, it sounds like Satch is starting to pick up a few things from that 'Chickenfoot' band he was/is in. His music is getting a little bit more riff-based and genuinely listenable rather than the trap he used to fall in which was that only his slow songs were actually pleasant to listen to and the rest were just widdly, 3-minute-long solos that were all about wow factor. No matter, how slowly, he is improving as a songwriter.

  • the last minut of this song is pure orgasmic!!!

  • The groove and the riff is pure fkn magic.

  • the two who don't like this are retards

  • If Hendrix is superman of the guitar world then Joe Satriani is surely Lex Luthor.

  • @MichaelYunez Not Voldemort ?

  • I'm going to see Satch live on 18th October.

    :D

  • @Vanguard448

i wish he came to finland once more, i want to see him live atleast once.

  • epic!!! blues! music...

  • The Cd is release on 4th of october in France, can't wait till then ^^

  • Damn what a song. What an awesome fat groove in this song.

I just find it damn impossible to stop my head from banging along with this or keeping my legs from moving. When I can't keep either one of those still it means I'm listening to something really good.

Way to go Satch. Looking forward to the new album a lot.

Also gonna really enjoy myself on my birthday. Gonna go an watch Satch live here in Belgium on 30th october.

  • AMAZING

  • Satriani the best!!!

  • This man is a genius, I really love the combination of the universe and rock music...pretty heavy.

  • @Symphorockder124 He's a genius cause he plays the guitar amazingly? Damn, human kind is really lowering it's standards for "genius"

  • @Coldmystery Now I think you're just being a smartass....He obviously means he's a (Musical) genius. You're thinking too much into this....

  • @Loz8900 Kinda Both being a smartass and serious. I think he is a fantastic musician and instrumentalist but genius? For playing lead guitar amazingly? I don't think that counts as genius...

  • @Coldmystery there's more than one kind of genioous dumbass.

  • @h3adbanger95 You sir, completely missed the point.

  • I can hear this song growing up from 'Colossal' and 'Musterion' and his late work at CF... It has groove AND melody. However, I found out that it's not the singles that differentiate each album's statement. I'm expecting great production and talkative melodies that would make this his most perfected album since 2000 and I'mma see him live in LA!

  • its a good song but I expected a melody.. thats why I love joe, he can make up great melodies that blow you mind.. these guitar licks I heard many times from him.. you can really sense that joe is getting older, but however he is still and always be the best

  • @MrCold768 Ye, it sounds more like a chicken foot riff!

    Still love joe though.

  • Meeting him was one of the best things to ever happen to me. :)

  • Can't wait. Great sound, just the way i like.

  • the guys just effin incredible can,t wait to see him live,,,,

  • Oh ya!!! sweet song going to get my black dog signed meet and greet january so stoked!!

  • true he is the grand master

  • GOOOOOOOO SATCH!

  • how the hell people call this song 'repetitive' ?? he's obviously one of the best composers in todays music business. It shouldn't be that hard to keep up to his phrasing!

  • @the3xtr3mist Right on! I view him like a modern day mozart. Able to play amazingly skillfull stuff, that is also excessable, beautiful and emtioanl and a joy to listen too. He is a masterul composer!

  • nice engineering work!!

  • superb......keep on rockin' joe!

  • Damn.......:-) Your groove seems to get bigger and bigger on every new idea....what a great song....I hope your CD will come out very soon, because....I love it...:-)

  • @vandaahl1965 oh hell yea

  • @snowman8me The Living Hero

  • All I gotta say is.....fucking SATCH! This is amazing!

  • The opening riff remind me a slow version of the 12 Oz. Mouse's theme, F**k off! Maiellaro, demand Satriani!

  • Thanks for posting this one of my favorite all time guitar players. Satch can play so many styles glad to see him solo and with Chickenfoot.

  • The only thing better than the music that Joe plays, is the names that he gives to his albums

  • cant wait to see him in october :D!

  • @vi70h pffft... I have to wait until December to see him :P

  • @itsthunderkid hey me too XD

  • BTW, you can download this track via Satriani's FB. You tweet a message and it starts downloading! Hooray for Satch!

  • Can't wat for this, it's out on my birthday and then i'm seeing him on the 18th, in bristol, can't f***ing wait Whhhhhooooooo.

  • Nice. But where is the melody?

  • Satriani is the best guitarist to come along in the last 25 years. This song may be to repetitive to some but I'd rather listen to Satch any day rather than listening to someone like van halen who seems stuck in the past. At least Satch changes his music up and doesn't play the same as when he first started.

  • Brilliant!!! cant wait for the album..

  • love satch and his music but whats with the eerie album titles lately ?

  • Satch will be in Napa California the day of the release. Gives me a good reason to go drink some wine!

  • I have it looping on iTunes. Also ordered the album "Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards".

  • i like it:)

  • dont u just hate when "AWESOME" music like this gets this kinda of views???? lady gaga can go have a blowjob!!!!!!

  • Freaking awesome, as ever

  • I love Satch and his music but this shit is whack!

JOE come up with sth like "Crystal Planet" or so. MORE MELODY dude!

  • @elviz71 All of Joe's albums have been different and he comes with new flavors in every one of them. I am a Crystal Planet fan too, but it's nice to know we can look for something new in every one of his albums

  • Prof. Satch is on the best moment of his career and he is starting to take an advantege of it.

Great timing to record a new solo album now... The fans couldn'd wait anymore

Fantastic, surprising as always, Satriani is back!

  • yeah, I like that ! .. Satch !!!!

  • Great from first to last. The final minute is simply epic...

    Happiness quotient = off-scale.

  • Joe Satriani says: "It’s almost the history of rock guitar riffs. The main guitar line was a hard one for me to figure out. It sounds kind of simple and funny, but it perplexed me. "Light Years Away was something of a puzzle that I needed to solve. But once the band and I played it together, we looked at one another and went, ‘Wow! That really swings.’ It does have a touch of fusion, but it’s got the rock, too.”

  • The album is coming on the day of the SAT.

    >:o

  • @SUSAltd

    day of the SAT?

sorry need some explanation here :P

    what is the SAT?

  • @Thompsongast In America, the SAT is a nation-wide test you take (partly to get into college).

And also, I got the date confused. The album is NOT being released on the day of the SAT.

  • @SUSAltd

    aha, thank you :)

these things are always cool to know ( i'm from holland),

and also good for you, that the album isn't going to be released on the day of the SAT ;)

  • the album is coming out the day after my birthday

    awesome >:D

  • YES!!!!!!! NEW ALBUM YES!

    AWESOME!!!

  • Not bad, not great, sounds like Joe is running out of ideas a little bit. Repetative. Still creative though.

  • @jerm26554

Some might say repetitive, I say consistent.
