  • @shivneel94

This is Joe Hisaishi, from Japan, not China. He composed almost all of the songs from Hayao Miyazaki's films. He is, honestly speaking, nothing short of a genius in music. Please show some respect.

  • from the soundtrack this is the one that brings me to tears.

    always.

  • Man they made a lot of mistakes for a professional orchestra! But this is my favorite song from Spirited Away.. so beautiful. I like the changes in this live version.

  • Is there nothing this guy touches that doesn't turn to gold?

  • Please let Jow Hisaishi be healthy and live all the way to 200 years old and compose all these great music!

  • This piece gives me chills all throughout my body. It is so powerful. I swear this man works magic...

  • @lyric142 same happens to me

  • I learned the piano bit, and let me tell you, that thing is a tongue twister for your fingers

  • I have no words..

  • I'm fourteen and This is my all time Favorite Song, and I never stopped watching Spirited Away!

  • Best song from Spirited Away

  • the only work that comes to me is Awesome....

  • @belladepadella4 Word°

  • Actually, this is a combination of both The Dragon Boy and Down the Pit. Both really great pieces, in and of itself.

  • @SingOutToOurWorld hell yeah :) best films ever

  • This is the music of EURASIA

  • This music made me watch the movie again

  • That was played PERFECTLY!!! it gave me shivers at the start.. :)

  • Does anybody know where I can have the entire Orchestra score for this song? And I mean scores for Band, Strings, and Percussion. Not just for Piano and Strings. I'm trying to convince my band teacher to let us (at least) play this song for concert season and all I need, is to find the Music Scores. Help please!

  • @kida13otohime17 Well this isn't a "song" it's a piece.

  • @AzNbOiJayJ Well soooorry. I was just asking a simple question which I'm sure most people got the idea of what I was asking for.

  • @kida13otohime17 Sorry, it's just a really annoying pet peeve of mine.

  • get the man a stand for gods sake. He can't read the sheet music well. I tmust be very difficult to try to read the music. However, Joe Hisaishi is an inspiration because of his amazing ability to compose that many music.

  • By far my favorite piece from the entire movie.

  • Magnifico.

  • 2:08 gives me chills, as every piece of joe hisaishi! :)

    I love his music :)

  • when i have kid's they will not grow up with stupid disney channel, they will grow up with studio ghibli and other anime...

  • I'm not sure, but this piece of music, especially when they are crossing the bridge in the film, brings a tear to my eyes =)

  • Japanese are awesome.. RESPECT.

  • I've grown up with Studio Ghibli, that made Spirited Away. So i've heard this song since I was about 4 years old. I just love the movie.

Hisaishi is the best in the world, every day when I go to my computer the first thing I listen to is Joe Hisaishi.

  • @SouskeSagara1 OK... You've grown up with Studio Ghibli. Ermh.. I've grown up too, but not especially with Spirited Away. Spirited Away is the most popular Ghibli's movie, and of course some idiots have grown up with that. I've grown up with Nausicaä and Mononoke, they are really the best films from Studio Ghibli, because they are made by Hayao Miyazaki and the original MASTERPIECE musics are made by Hisaishi.

  • @kiki4evaaa Yeah, but Spirited Away is made by Hayao Miyazaki and composed by Hisaishi so what is the difference... Who is the idiot now?

  • @SouskeSagara1 I watched Spirited away too, though it was the last one from Studio Ghibli that I watched. The rest that are made in 2000-century sucks, and you're an idiot.

  • @kiki4evaaa Arrietty was quite good.

  • @Cookai16 Mmh.. that makes some difference.

  • @SouskeSagara1 lolled

  • There are two stupid deaf persons

  • I get crazy chills when I listen to the score for this movie, but especially this song.

  • Definitely the best song of the movie in my opinion.

  • is it weird that i know the lines from spirited away that go with this music... O.o

  • @rosalierox247 no^^ i know them too because i love this music =)

  • Hey you guys, I finally got my website back up. studioghiblifilms(dot)com

Check it out. Most of studio ghibli films should be uploaded onto that website. You won't be able to download them, but you can watch them. :]

    Enjoy!!

  • you know the song is awesome when the bar is all green

  • avatar vs spirited away, spirited away wins

  • Aha, great conductor, you can tell he's really enjoying this (and who wouldn't!), just look at his face!

  • Maravilloso

  • oh my. seriously. listening to this always gives me chills. TOO BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • The drum at 1:18 always gives me chills in the film.

  • this one is my favourite !!

  • I took a quiz that said this what the sound my soul sings. :/

  • ハクを思い出す・・・

    「ハクー!しっかりー!こっちよー!」

  • yubaba sucks she is so ugly and mean if a man like me would be terrified

  • omg was there a mistake played by joe hisaishi at 2:04? o.O

  • @bboycteel There are no mistakes.

    Only happy little accidents~

  • @EvilEmoCupcakes ahhh i see ;)^^

  • @bboycteel Painting with Bob Ross? No? okay ...

  • 1 dislike yubaba >:I

  • I have spirited away and most of the movies that Miyazaki made and I just love the music that have been composed by Joe Hisaishi.

  • chills running down my spine!

  • This was so brilliant that someone was disoriented enough to accidentally press the 'dislike' button. Tsk tsk tsk.

  • LOVE <3<3<3

  • this music is very beautiful people do not understand how apresia not, if I'm also a fan of hip-hop and pop, but this expresses much more than our modern genres

  • such inspiration. the 1 dislike was a much regretted mistake, obviously.

  • At 2:40 and 4:20 it's really special....

  • That's my favorite soundtrack too! <3 Amazing performance.

  • ハングルうぜえ

  • Who the hell disliked this?!

  • joe hisaishi & hayao miyazaki are geniuses hands down.

  • haku! ;D

  • 1 person never heard of good music

  • Joe Hisaishi is the Mozart of the 21th century !

  • @DlNGSHU Along with Morricone, Basil Poledouris, Nino Rota, and many other genius.

  • @DlNGSHU better than mozart =)

  • @DlNGSHU You're right!!!!

  • @DlNGSHU Nah,Mozart is way better than him...

  • I was spirited away by this song. <333

  • Where can I buy this concert? Is it available on dvd?

  • @Kr4zyworld It's been out for years on dvd buddy :p

  • NICE!

  • that one dislike must be a dick

  • At 2:10 I almost burst into tears

    So amazing DDDD':

  • i just keep getting chills over and over again.

  • What struck me as the most awesome is that Hisaishi wasn't conducting- instead blasting through with the other musicians there, dancing on the keys with the same imaginative determination it took to write the song.

  • Type in repeat after youtube and before dot com in the url. The replay button desrves a break.

  • at 0:25 *shivers*

thanks for the upload anyway. :D

  • Joe Hisaishi wouldnt have done it without his team , so i hope you guys appreciate others too :)

This is a gift that God give him and he is sharing it out. :)

  • It´s So pure the xpression of Hisaishi Sensei

  • I love this tension from the beginnig until 1:41

    That's AWESOME!!! <3

  • how? how does he make such perfect music?! he somehow makes orchestra music not boring! now if we could just get the teacher to let us play this...

  • at the beginning i was like o.o then as it got further into the song i was like O.O now im like this *0*

  • HISAISHI-SAMAAAAAAAAA!

  • 1:25 with the trombones gives me chills every time. It is simply beautiful.

A true work of art by one of the few true artists in this world.

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • whats happening to japan now is terrible[a big earthquake]and i hope he didnt die and i hope the diricter didnt too

  • I don't think this man is god. I believe he is a normal human being with an extraordinary gift, and we are all thankful he decides to share it. You have a lot of fans, Hisaishi-sama. I hope you know that, and never forget it.

  • @ThePanduh94 HE is GOD =) !

  • @ThePanduh94 The "God" comment seems a bit random, but ok...?

  • @ThePanduh94 I totally agree andyou said that better than I could :) thank you :)

  • @ThePanduh94 he is japanese, so he isn't god.

    he is a kami!

  • @ThePanduh94 well i think he is what god imagined when he thought of original music soundtracks so he is part of god

  • Epic.EPic.EPIc.EPIIIIIIIIC !!!!! ;____; OMIGOD. Hisaishi, You can take out the mask now, we all know you're God in disguise ^_^"

  • EPIC!!!

  • I am honestly in love with this song!!! I just keep pressing the replay button. I want to be Spirited Away so bad!!!

  • I wish they would come to America and perform this <3

  • Whenever I hear this song, I get goosebumps and I have the exact scene from the movie playing in my head. and I see HAIKU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ♥ this song so oooo much!!!!

  • I'm new to Youtube, but isn't there suppost to be a "LOVE" button for videos like this?

  • they should call it Haku's theme

  • @superbadninja1 they don't have to.

    The Dragon Boy=Haku

so technically it already IS Haku's theme.

  • @stewinsalot ...NOW FING WAY!!!!! I take back what I said.... its PERFECT!!!! Joe Hisaishi is too good....

  • Comment removed

  • @ccho617 Do you mean to say Hisaishi rushed and screwed up while performing his own piece?

  • the bso of spirited away is magic and perfect , like all the bso of studio ghibli. all of them are single :3

  • What scene is this song from?

  • @CrunchyCamera it is featured primarily in the scene when Haku is being attacked by the paper figures being controlled by Zeniba. It is about 2/3 into the film. Chihiro wakes up late in the bath house and notices Haku in dragon form being chased by dozens of paper figures

  • I believe he's from the spirit world, and I don't want him to leave

  • this song soooo takes me back to when I first saw Spirited Away when I was 6

  • goosebumps - o -

  • I wonder, if, when he looks at his sheet music...does he ever ask himself..."Did i really produce all that..? Is that what i played..? " lol

  • I didn't realize until the very end: I had been holding my breath for the entire thing.

    Chilling.

  • @chubbychinagirl, not trying to burst your bubble or anything, but for 4 minutes?, highly unlikely.

  • This sounds like a darker, more expanded version of Mitsuda's "Corridors of Time".

Both are works of unparalleled beauty.

  • @Writtenjustice The intro is more Schala's Theme-ish to me. :)

  • @Xineal They are pretty similar, huh?

  • @Xineal Definitely Schala's theme-esque my friend! You seem to know you videogame and anime music!

  • 3:00 made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck!

  • i...would love to see his concert or at least come to australia...

  • 1 person is the first human being whose heart is deaf.

  • ...I prefer the soundtrack one which is rare for me as the change in dynamics here isn't as epic D:

  • gave me goosebumps xD loved it :D again... xD lol

  • haha 1 person must be deaf.

  • This song never fails to send chills down my spine. Simply breathtaking.

  • 1 person wished he was a dragon >..>

  • I wish Joe Hisaishi himself was conducting this (; _ ;)

  • What wouldn't I give to hear them play live >.>

  • That guy directing them, waving that stick around, i never understood the meaning of that. Sure, it might be just to direct them, but how do you do that just by waving a stick up and down? Almost seems funny to me.

  • @kairidemon15 the waves of his stick is counting the beats

  • 久石さんが韓国のオーケストラと共演してたとは知らなかった

  • that first french horn rip is orgasmic. and OMGOSH 2:05.

  • *O*

  • Does anyone know the piano chords to dis???

  • Apparently Yubaba hates this song, look at the one dislike. . . lmao XD

  • @zingy213 The stingy deaf one, made so by Yubaba.

  • This song reminds me of Haku's transformation under Yubaba. It's so pure, noble and beautiful at the beginning, and becomes so chaotic and cacophanous towards the end. And it ends on a cliffy tone since this track is predominantly featured at two-thirds into the movie. Gotta love Joe Hisashi >.<! I cannot understand why this clip has not garnered more views. It's just as brilliant as One Summer's Day, if with a less mainstream sound.

  • this is so peaceful and amazing! i love the movie as well :)

the music is so relaxing and fits the scenes perfectly

    incredible

    just incredible

i cant get enough of it

makes the movie all the more magical

  • i gotta admit though...this orchestra is not particularly good.

    NOT WORTHY!!

    (still clicking 'like')

  • i spent last hours listening to hisaishi's music.. i think he's becoming my favorite composer

btw, that one person who had the audacity to hit the dislike button could just disappear and no one woul miss "it" xD

  • i really want to see this live !!

  • This is one of this songs i MUST see live

    *_*

  • Wow! This sound so great! <3<3

  • 2:05 to 2:20 gives me goosebumps and chills such a beautifyl piece, lively and spirited : )

  • dude this song makes me feel like haku in dragon-form flying through the air...sighhhhhh joe hisaishi is like the awesomest person in the world. i like raped the replay button 1 million times....0___0

  • This gives me chills

  • whose the goondo who disliked the song???!!!

  • Oh gawd I want my skool orchestra to play this song!!!!!! Because if they did at the end I would clap SO hard!!!!!!!!!! XD!!!

  • The first few seconds, he snares you and puts you in a trance. Then he slams you off your feet and spends the next 2 minutes stripping you of everything you thought you knew. ...Then your heart breaks and the world implodes.

This man is from another dimension. These things don't exist in our world. How the hell does he do this??

  • @amplimax totally agreed

  • Joe Hitashi, if only more people had watched Spirited Away as children, then maybe more would consider you one of the most innovative and talented composers of the past few years

  • His music is SO moving....I just close my eyes and let my mind wander when I listen to it!

  • Just wonderful. I have no other words, but my emotions are plentiful.

  • when i hear this i want to fly....

  • I really wanna be one of those trumpets in the band

  • So who here imagines the movie as they are playing so tremendously? :D

  • Again!! No "Love" Button!! D'X XDD
