  • Always bugged me that Poot scoped brandon but wallace got the credit

  • Only two words are an appropriate response to this attrocity...

    "Omar comin'!"

  • Comment removed

  • LMAO

Found out that the guy playing Poot auditoned for Wee-Bay role...

    hahahaha imagine that!

  • @mskux19 Man I LOL'D just thinking about that. Could you imagine Poot in the interogation asking for a "samich"

  • I hate these people that don't understand ebonics.

  • The great thing about this scene is that the killers all paid for what they did. Omar kills Stinkum and injures Wee-Bey shortly after this scene takes place(Wee-Bey would be sentenced to life in jail not too long after this.) One year later, Bird gets locked up based on Omar's(false) testimony. And finally, after two years of waiting, Omar kills Stringer. Omar may not have known who killed Brandon, but the writers sure did.

  • wallace should've never been killed by poot and boadie

  • It still does not hurt to speak like your parents or teachers taught you something in class.

  • @BentTemple lots of people have fluency in both ebonics and the king's english these days. don't get too proud of merely being literate in a conventional manner - it's the hallmark of the mediocre nowadays.

  • @DougglesMagnificent lots of mediocre people have fluency in both....if that's what you meant...yea, I agree...

  • @DougglesMagnificent judgemental.....

  • thats funny as shit when poot was laughing at McNulty hahaha

  • @1L4MK BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA hell yeah it is

  • yeah quite dumb to be in the open like that when you got ppl out to get you.

  • lmfao poot laughing in the window

  • @PesciNcasino never noticed that the first time around... literally did laugh out loud, that was awesome.

  • Bird killed brandon right?

  • Word to the not-so-wise: Ebonics is an English dialect, and language (whether it is English or Korean) is an ever evolving thing. Even grammar rules change all the time.

  • torture has "Bird" written all over it.

  • R.I.P Wallace ! He Was One Of My Favorites But Bodie And Poot Killed Him Cause Stringer a asshole ! iAint Never Like Stringer ! Always Was A Snoop Fann ! Watch That episode To Yo !

  • omars boy is thick as fuck and byrd is a cocky little cunt

  • Wallace didn't even give Poot a kickback of the bounty Avon put on Omar and his people. Wallace never woulda made that call if it wasn't for Poot.

  • @Shack83 poot don't need a kickback he has that footlocker money now haha.

  • never mind i got his name(larry gilliard).

  • what's the name of the actor shown at 1:15?

  • Damn this was even before wallace got killed

  • lol at making fun of D'Angelo

  • LMAO @ poot laughin

  • Isn't that Ed Norris former chief of police of Baltimore?

  • How you gonna rob niggaz then hang out in their hood? omG! Brandon was NOT THAT SMART when it came to that? Seriously wouldn't any of yall know NOT TO DO THAT even at the age of 12? Brandon was an impulse player. HE did alotta dum shyz without thinkin first. But he STILL WAS THE BEST COMPANION FOR OMAR. he was just the kinda guy that Omar had to watch over EVERY FRIGGIN MINUTE.

  • That phone call was the beginning of DeAngelo's road to redemption. His second thoughts crystallized after Brandon's murder.

  • @wrngco LOL IKNOW

  • as a baltimorean i will say this is one of the realist shows ever created period, Unfortunately this shit goes on in the city too often!! The only thing the got messed up was the clothes, idk who the fuck does the costumes!!! they make us look liek some country ass hicks!!

  • @maliksaadat That's real talk. We don't dress like that.

  • @maliksaadat fuck yeah im from bmore we dont do dat shit

  • @maliksaadat NAW YALL aint country far from it. I never got that impression about Baltimore, but I do wonder where yall get those wack azz accents from. It make yall sound like yall all wear hearing aids. Like Snoop most time I needed some subtitles on my DVD player to understand her azz.

  • all right. this nigger going to point him out to us, okay.

  • The shit that amazes me is how many of you boys think this is a battle study. You watch this series and you see where it all goes and you still watch it like it's a decent choice.

It's not a fucking game, and it's not a movie, so many of these posts talk about this like it's shit that's going on around the block, like it's a lifestyle worth while. Fuck that, get your head out of your arse.

  • Daaaang , String , Wee Bay , Bird and Stinkum vs Brandon. He really did die 4 times.

  • What goes around comes around.....Wallace:-)

  • the big cop in grey suit has a tiny head

  • is that fredro star @ 1:40?

  • @nigelchitownking yeah he plays 'Bird'

  • also check out generation kill. its a very deep show on hbo, made by the same guy as the wire.

  • Omar's bitch got owned!

  • " You sharp son, what's your name? "

  • Damn, wish you had left in the bits of the computers registering the calls in the detail's office. I thought that added a strangely chilling layer to the sequence.

  • "yo look, i punk n*ggers when i got to" lol

  • Naymond and WeeBay look so alike. they must b related in real life as well

  • @ 3:27 Lol. Got damn they didn't even warn him bout the dog.

  • they done that boy dirty n left em in the alley stinking dat was omars heart too started him off from this

  • wtf is poot doin at a murder scene he started?

  • d is the man

  • Wallace was built for every part of da game except murder he couldnt live with that

  • brandon wasnt carefull enough bless him the whole point of gangs is to be permently with some one

  • Poot was every bit a soldier as much as Bodie. His only problem was he was ignorant, but he had that swagger, that attitude and that toughness about him that commanded respect

  • Poot didnt command respect, he was a little bitch boy

  • 'What he's getting stuck up again?" Haha Weebay got jokes!

  • The weight of the world was on D's shoulders when he hung up that phone maine.

  • damn....I bet Bird had the time of his life doin that

  • Avon was a good leader but not cunning enough to fuck with Marlo

  • NOT SMART ENUFF TO RECOGNIZE HE SHOULDED BEEN RIDED HIMSELF OF STRING AFTER dangelo

  • avon was a good leader,

marlo was alot more violent i respect.

maybe not more violent , but we see a lot more of chris and snoop killing for marlo

  • Marlo is the Boss DOn of this series nigga was unfukwitable lol

  • Although no one knew it at the time, this was the beginning of the end for Avon's crew

  • he was letting d'angelo know it was emergency when he seen 911 in his pager he wasn't snitching...yet. LOL!!

  • This was the episode that got me into the show. Loved it.

  • that nigga brandon was wilden. chillen in a damn arcade. not even in the cut or nothen. he having a good ass time. u would never see omar doing some dumb shit like that

  • @bklynking15 ??? english bro, many of us do not speak ebonics.

  • @amerikano where have you been the last 20 years not to understand what @bkylnking15 is saying? I'm from London, England and I understood what he said perfectly. You want me to translate? "Brandon was sloppy and unfocused. He was foolish enough to be playing games in an arcade rather than hiding out in a safer area. Omar is far more focused and would never have put himself in that dangerous position."

  • @cds2006 Oh you are from London, then it must be easier for you to comprehend broken English. For the rest of us, who do not speak in such an uneducated manner we still rely on proper grammar. Give an effort to comprehend slang? Not on my time off chap!

Do what you do best Brit, take that argument to the U.N. where they do not do shit about it but still feel they accomplished something.

  • @amerikano

Rely on proper grammar? Is that why redneck euphemisms and street slang are so prevalent in our books, music, and movies? I'm American, so it's easy to call bullshit on you. :P

  • They dont show the part where he gets beaten?

  • no, his death happened off-screen.

  • yo one of the writers of the show was an ex crime writer for some newspaper and one was an ex cop so they know their stuff...But like someone said this how runs much deeper than the drugs/gangstar shit and only A few people on here actually get it!!

  • A lot of the viewers mostly focus on their favorite perspective, like the law, or the streets, or the politics or the docks. Truth is, every scene is as important as the next scene.

  • Yeah, and them same white gangsters did the same shit black gangsters do. Hustle and Grind all day, kill who needed to be killed in the name of the Don or the Boss. Spend nights at clubs and speakeasies fucking with the broads. Them same white gangsters went to jail for dealing heroin, sticking up working people from Truck Drivers to the man running the hardware store. They usually extorted the latter. Them same gangsters like Joey Gallo liked to fuck men like Omar. Joey was a Boss.

  • So sum up your impressive 2 part statement,

The Game is the Game, regardless of where you're from or who you work for.

  • joey gallo didnt run a family you moron

  • Joey was a boss didn't say he ran a family

  • It's the same way in the Mob for them niggas that don't know. The mob coined the term rat for snitches. It's the same deal. Copsondonuts ain't seeing the big picture. In the underworld, there can only be a certain amount of order cause you dealing with animals.

Joey Gallo, Tony the greek, John Gotti, Mad Dog Sullivan, and many other infamous mob figures all did long stints in prison for some dumb shit they did. The game is the fucking game no matter the race or where they from.

  • Yeah you right, the game's the game, but the game's a bit rougher in some places, and some races seem to better coping with a rougher game, like them Mexicans, Salvadorians and Colombians. I'm a Colombian myself but I ain't even nowhere near the game, don't want any part of it. Want live at least past my 20s you know

  • Stop the bullshit talk. There plenty hoods all over the country where niggas give it up in an orderly manner. Yall niggas don't know the half. Them boys don't know shit (Feds) they need informants. Narcs don't know shit they need informants.

The shit that fucks up the hood is lack of authority. Everybody is forming their own cliques tring to take over.

  • That's what I'm saying. Your a smart nigga. It ain't about icing no one, it's about playing the game right and EXTORTING people rather than killin' 'em.

  • copsondonuts that is so true what you said. no hood anywhere is organized its all like the wild west. its every man for himself and there is no loyalty. that is one of the reasons that they all go to jail.

  • still love it.

  • The Wire isn't really about the drug game anyway >_>. Mostly about politics. The show is political satire. The show is deep bro. Besides, this season was based on the real life Wire tap investigation that one of the writers(who worked on the case) were apart of. They actually experienced some of the things in this show. So don't go saying it's all bullshit. They did their homework.

  • @Notebookwriter1 Yeah the show's all real, very authentic, that's why it's so sick. But it's not "political satire" in any way... what the fuck do you think they're satirizing?

  • Another thing, their not trying to say ALL baltimore hoods are organized. The Barksdale crew most definitely. But that organization doesn't represent every single drug kingpin in Baltimore. Hell, there's a scene in an earlier episode where D'Angelo notices how un-organized the drugs are moving and tells Wallace or Bodie(forgot who it waS) how to do things) Most of the people here don't even get the big picture of the Wire anyway. Just watching it for the gangsta stuff. There's more to it.

  • this is like one of two or three scenes you see bird during season 1, and after that he gets locked up, which sucks cus fredro starr is dat nigga.

  • they make all that money but wear the same clothes every day

  • I be saying the same ass shit foreal tho

  • Wallace should have never made that phone call.

  • who fredro starr his name in the show is bird hilton

  • was that Onyx at 1:41?

  • no, that dude is just one of the dudes from onyx

  • i wish they kill marlo like that

  • What do ya'll think wallace would be if they never caught brandon ?

Do you think he would be another D' anglo or a killer like chris ?

  • i think he would had ended up like bodie just a nigga takin orders

  • It's surprising that they didn't show Brandon's death. But why did they want to kill him?

  • he robbed 'em. fuck dat nigga he get what he got

  • the way d put the phone back on da hook and his facial expression d was looking confused

  • damn now what if brandon would of saw poot pointin he would of ran and got away

  • this is when the barksdale crew was at its strongest

  • what season was this? i dont watch the wire much but i saw some clips and i would like to watch this season.

  • 1st

  • both poot and wallace were idiots real soldiers with no future followers

  • Everybody talks about Marlo's crew being so bad and ruthless, and I agree. BUT - I'd would've liked to see a war between Marlo's crew and Barksdale's crew --- Wee-Bey, Bird, etc - when Barksdale's crew was still on the street at full-force. Wee-Bey, Bird, etc are some ruthless characters in their own right, and I think they could give Chris and Snoop a run for their money.

  • Old Barksdale Crew > Marlo Crew

  • wtf

why was brandon there. if he's omar boyfriend and rob niggas with omar, why he so out in the open. u dont see omar playing games at food places and shit. wtf

  • That nigga Brandon just be slippin, Omar be makin moves on the low. but Omar finally got caught slippin which is why he died. Right there at a corner store

  • @mkvl1490 Brandon was never that smart. Ever.

  • @mkvl1490 cuz hes a stupid faggot, not a hard killer like omar

  • @mkvl1490 OH I WISH i woulda seent your comment. I came from a different part of the comments but dang you right! I said the same thing! how you gonna rob somebody and then hang out in the same hood after you KNOW THEY SAW YOU AS ONE OF THE STICKUP CREW? this is common sense that Brandon lacked MOST TIMES.

  • Did anybody ever teach Poot not to point?

  • Yeah, Poot is not the sharpest knive in the drawer.

  • the way weebey had the handcuffs...oh mann

  • Why did wallace get paid?? Poot is the one who really spotted him out

  • wallace made the call and pointed him out

  • i did'nt know the dude dat played malakai in save the last dance was on da wire

    OMG!!!!!!

    HE'S SO SEXY

  • yeah his name is Fredro Starr he a beast aint

  • hell yea i done watched mad videos from loveydovey. lol oh yeah what was Fredr Star's name again on this show. i remember Omar testifying against him in court. shit was funny......lol

  • bird

  • His name is Bird on the show.

  • ok on every scene I have somebody with streetsmarz to help me with this. Now what jus happened? What do that tall dude hav to do with the kids? :32 - 1:29

  • The tall dude aka Brandon was Omar's boyfriend and was with Omar when he robbed Barksdale's stash house.

  • boyfriend?

  • Yeah, Omar is a "gay gangsta."

  • So dis nigga gay

  • Yep.

  • I thot brandon was hispanic!

  • WALlace ISZ sO s3xIi

  • i honestly thought brandon was white

  • I dID 2 eITHeR ThaT OR hiSpaNic

  • He is white. The actor who plays him is Michael Kevin Darnall, google his name and you'll see that he is definitely white.

  • Thanks for all you do, loveydoveypeace. Any chance we could get the scene where Stringer hires Omar to hit Brother Mouzone?

  • tricks Omar.
