I think that is so cute...I caught one on my railing at my house during the early winter. I love this sweet lilttle guy. I would like to get another one so they can mate. Do all pet stores have them? I see the their lifespan is only 3 years, which made me feel sad. I seen my lizard jumping and thought that was so cute I realize he/she is looking to get close to the light I put on top of the screen. ...my lizard makes me smile..I am happy he/she came to visit me.

yeah i just got a western fence lizard yesterday hes named spike cuz his scales r like spikes. he wont drink i misted the walls like u would with an anole i put some water in a little cup i cut but he wont drink!

i left a bowl of water but only once saw him drink anything. just put a wet papertowl in with the crickets before u feed them and the lizard can get its moisture from it. they also need a place to hide. search google for western fence lizard care sheet

if its really that small, you can start it off on flightless fruit flies. once its a little bigger you can move up to small crickets... both are available at petco/petsmart. the general rule is whatever they eat has to be smaller than the width between their eyes.

i have a western fence lizard named fred (wild caught) he lives with my leopard gecko logo and my lizard does the same thing

they don't comercialy breed these guys do they? and are these two captive bread or wild caught?

no i dont believe anyone commercially breeds them. these were wild caught from my grandma's house. i believe CA state law says up to 14 can be caught at a time.
