Alright just to make it clear. WoW is about 7 years old. For me it's the best MMO ever made. But it got old and u need to switch. I will switch for GW 2 for sure. But no one can ever say WoW bad since if u look at other mmos many is still based on it.

And as many people have pointed out there is no sense of community with what blizzard has implemented lately. and as for best mmo on the market? hm...idk about best but maybe more of something people are familiar with but best idk i guess it could be the most played but there are still other decent mmos. But until gw2 comes out it will rule the market.

@cruzader0 I definitely agree, WoW has been adding bit by bit but in the end its the same old game, they need something big, new and fast. Most other MMO's seem to have some sort of bad problem but if WoW has got anything its consistency.

Cant wait for GW2, I heard it coming out in the first quarter of 2012.

i played guild wars wow RIFT tried SWTOR at gamescon and i think guild wars 2 will own all of them, cuz i'm pretty tired of key based MMO's and guild wars has this new twist that mixes action based with key based MMO's and this is awesome.... Plus the game enables you to be RP,,,, But still the best is that their are no heals DPS's Tanks.

@GuildWar2Ranger They revealed character customization, PvP, More skills, the Sylvari, Another major boss, they switched up low and high level content, asura are playable, airships, the engineer is playable. PAX wasnt the greatest in reveals because gamescom was a week or two before it, but quite a bit has been released.

This was a great video, really good insight into what goes on behind the scenes with community Management, which i'm sure can be translated over to other games as well. It's probably the hardest job in the Video Game industry.

@Reltsirk As a roleplayer, I take insult to that. We do not hide into our little corners and just "fill up the chat". We get involved in our communities! Not just the RP ones, but PvP and PvE as well. I loved to do PvP in WoW and got the Kingslayer title. The question the guy asked was the wrong one - I don't know any roleplayer that wants any developer to treat us special. We just want the griefers off our backs.

as a ex wow player (5x 85s) i must say community there is dead. You dont meen new friends there by leveling,dungeon,pvp. Social aspect of WoW have been shattered by random dungeons, elitist raiding, lack of players interaction when leveling. Game is oriented around gear instead of player skill. To actually pvp you must spend alot of time grinding gear just to be able to continue grind for better gear. Achievements ? WoW = grind, gear oriented game

@dan7212 I can promise you that won’t happen in GW2. The series is known for “odd” ideas like the gear cap; basically like with leveling there comes a point when you get the best gear there is and after that you need not worry about it again unless you just want a rare skin. GW endgame kept you playing with other means, not just strapping you into a treadmill for a never-ending progression of loot that is obsolete as soon as you equip it.

@dan7212 A guild isn't even required to play WoW anymore. Some people have been max level for months and don't even know anyone on their own server. Log on, run a random heroic dungeon with random people from other servers that you will never meet again, steal all the loot with no consequence, log off. Fun fun!

Only thing I'm waiting to be seen in an MMO is a custom weapon creator. Kinda of like how Borderlands randomly generated their weapons (Hundreds of parts and components randomly put together) except you'd be able to put how they'd look. That would be pretty epic.

@Mustaklaki You should check into GW2 crafting. It isn’t exactly like that, but closer than in most games. You don’t just combine the same old mats into the same stock weapons and armor as everyone else, instead you craft things like sword blades, grips and hand guards with their own core stats that you can assemble in whatever combination you like to make your own style of weapon. Also it has been said that through crafting you can get skins not found anywhere else in the world.

@Resolution1983 wow, ok lets say this game does "flop" the way how blizzard set up cata makes it extremely easy to get gear and learn how to do the raids where its child's play and commonly you can get raid gear in under a week with VP or or help with a guild. and be honest firelands was pretty easy since we done its in less then 2 weeks. oh and guild wars 2 wont kill wow it well clap it's mother and blow its brains out and T bag its dyeing body. like a boss
