just traded my modded 2005 srt4 for a 2009 civic si. lost the hp, but love the features of the si better than boosting 18 lbs of turbo.

what do u mean switching to vtec? is it a different mode after the car is kinda broken in?

vtec is "valve timing with eletronic lift control, basicly when your r.p.m.'s reach a certain point (5600 for the Si) vtec kicks in and the valves on the intake side open up more letting more air into the engine, its really more complicated than that but you should get the idea. vtec also works of oil P.S.I.and the E.C.U. adds more fuel to the engine all at the same time.

and basically when the engine switches over to the second cam profile above 5800 rpm (when vtec kicks in), the sound of the engine changes completely and it comes alive screaming all the way to red line at 8000 rpm. It's quite exquisite!!!

got the same car, its a fast car and the acceleration is great but the top speed is too weak. once you've reached it..it starts getting boring.
