I'd have absolutely loved to see Ott try to play in the NHL in the 90's with Probert, Grimson, Twist... just to name a couple of guys who would've ended his career nice and early.

Same here I miss Craig Rivet, very good hockey player. Rivet is a tough guy, plays hard and gritty. He can drop the gloves. Rivet did the right thing, Ott took a cheap shot after the whistle was blown and Rivet put Ott in check.

awesome! habs fans certainly don't regret trading rivet since we got the trusty josh gorges and a great 1st rounder (max pacioretty) in return, but we'll never question rivet's heart and passion. habs and sharks fans seem unanimous on this point! enjoy, sabres fans.

How can you not like him? Although he lost this fight he's won plenty others. Plus he's one of the best players that can draw penalties from the other team just by getting on their nerves. Provides the Stars with power play chances.

As for a big Sharks fan like me, I really will miss Rivet. I understan why Doug Wilson did it to get more cap space, but I thought Rivet was the best d-man for the Sharks too this year. You gotta feel bad for Rivet as well because he loved it in San Jose and is now with Buffalo. All I can say is I wish him the best.
