  • Lori's sister, Jean Coulter has joined Malcolm James site and left some beautiful

comments about her memories of Lori. Please consider joining the site and let

everyone know this amazing woman will not be forgotten. Some of the photos

of Lori are rare and bring back precious memories. Thank you E.J.

  • @art3ful Sorry for the very late reply, and yes I also hope that more people join.Malcom has done such a wonderful thing with his site.Thank you for adding this information here. Roy

  • thanks

  • I hope you'll join Malcolm's site, we would love to see your photos of Lori

    and share her music. E.J.

  • check out malcolm James websit on findagrave, Paul Peterson left a very nice

message. Malcolm James also has a site set up for Lori's fans, you will

be amazed at the photos posted there.

  • @art3ful I did,and thank you. Roy

  • Lori has an official site malcolmjames@london.com

  • I have just learned this minute of Lori's passing and am crying without shame. I completely idolized Lori on National Velvet. She was a very important and magical part of my teenage years and inspired me to be the accomplished horsewoman I was for several years, always with her in mind. I have a huge scrapbook of her and have shared this with my daughter too. I am soooo sorry and deeply feel the loss. Lynn King

  • @khymadi Yes it was very sad news to me as well, and I enjoyed watching the show on TV.I also loved to ride horses in my youth.I would love to see some of the pictures in your scrapbook and see what I do not have in mine.Thank you for shareing with us and please drop by anytime.Have a good one... :)

  • @mezskr4 Please check out the website by M. James. thanks art3ful

  • @art3ful I tried to find the site that you mentioned, and used the address mentioned by maic239,but to no availe. Is it on the net or on youtube.

  • @khymadi Hi, I too have a scrapbook I've kept of Lori since I was about 11 yrs. old, I'm now 60. Malcom James has a site dedicated to

Lori (Dawn Breitenbucher) she died of bipolar related illness, she had

been in ill health since her husband, Charles died in 1999. Her son Brett

has approved of Jame's website, I hope you join her tribute. I'd love to see what

    pictures you have collected. art3ful

  • They are saying Lori has died on April 4, 2010, at Wikipedia and other sites. She was doing election worker duties in Oakhurst, Ca. in 2008. I don't know what could have taken her so soon. I'm sure you are riding Blaze King around heaven, Lori, and we will miss you.

links: small obit , etc, info at bottom comments on her IMDB page

  • @gnsback I just received your comment and checked it out.I am very saddened by this news,I used to watch the show when I was a teenager after getting home from school.Eventhough she only had one record, both sides were good.If it is true then I am glad that I have these videos up.Please post the same comment on the othere video i have of hers.Thank you for letting us know. I feel so :(

  • @mezskr4 I am devasted at this news of her death. I wish it would be some bad mistake or error some one made. I cannot confirm it, still, in mainstream media which might be a snub due to the different name she was using. I had contacted studios to get rights to post stills of her to advocate putting N.Velvet on dvd,but they want too much$ and I didn't get around to and and now cannot even send a fan card to her. they didn't say car wreck, dead at home, or illness, or anything. Odd

  • Thanks for posting.

i had a crush on her as well. She was the only reason i watched the show.

I doubt they will ever release it on dvd :(

  • Your welcome, and you never know. They have released so many of the old shows on DVD,but perhaps your right.During the time the show lasted on TV,I'm shure many boys had a crush on her. Thanks for stopping by...

  • My Bad, I believe she spells name "Carole Wells" not Carol Wells

  • In addition, my attraction to the show was Carol Wells, the actress who played her older sister, was from Shreveport, LA my home town.

  • Markgold49, Lori Martin was my first love as well in Junior High. I wish they had National Velvet, the TV series on DVD.

  • Instead of letting it upset you, just think of how your creation was so original enough for others to admire, then you can set about creating even more stupendous videos and arts involving such unique talents as Lori Martin, for example. You have a talent like the one Ayn Rand described in "The Fountainhead" which novel was also made into a film with Gary Cooper and Patricia Neal. Watch it even though it's old and you'll see yourself, the creator! You can pity the poor guys who have to copy you

  • look like another Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil

song..I remember Lori on National Velvet. I didn't know she sany.

  • This was her only record. Both sides are good, with the flip the best.

  • Whoever posted it, thank you. Lori Martin was my first love, I loved the show and remember seeing her in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade so long ago. Ah the memories..............

  • I posted it.I didn't know about the parade.Thank you.

  • There has not been enough basic and wholesome work like this since this was recorded. Lori/Dawn gave a good performance on these two numbers and has good back up, too. She was more of a heart-throb than I realized, for sure! I've read posings about her and National Velvet and wow! A girl with a good horse, out on the farm-ranch! What more could a viewer want? The programmers who took over decided to give us 'dark sentences' rather than Lori's fine work & heterosexual theme music.

  • Once again I have to agree with you.Maybe they will release it on DVD as they have with many old show. But it was a good one, I just wish it had lasted longer.Thank you for stopping by.

  • i love this song

  • today is friday ,..great simple lyric... makes me smile,

  • Yes sometimes it's the liitel things that mean more to us.Sorry for the late reply, but not all my post go through.

  • Really sweet. You are posting some real gems. Please check out my videos as I am also posting hard to find songs in mostly chronlogical order by year.

  • I hope that you liked the song and pictures.. These are some of my favorite records. I will check out your postings. Thanks
