Anti-Flag never sold out. They've always stuck to what they believe in. They got the opportunity to promote their thoughts and beliefs to a bigger audience by signing to Sony, and they took it. Thats pretty smart if you ask me, not selling out. Good music is what the major labels should support. I'd love to see them promote bands that are in it for the right reasons rather than all the other fucking crap they put out.

Just jumping in - I don't think it's fair to compare metal to punk. The way I see it is obviously metal produces the best instrumental talent out there for guitar, bass, and drums. Listening to metal for that reason is phenomenal. But, the lyrics in most metal just suck (my opinion) - I just can't stand the lyrics, whereas punk lyrics I understand and relate. That's what punk is.  It's a message, not a musical masterpiece
