The knives Logosol normally use for molding wood are of 18% HSS, high speed steel. It is a very durable material. 5000-10000 linear meters without sharpening. The side cutters are mounted on standard 30 mm axles which make it easy for you to customize your machine and use many types of knives and cutter heads. Even though HSS is a good choice in most cases, Logosol has TCT, carbide knives for the cutter heads as an alternative when extremely difficult wood types are to be machined.
I am interested in a Logosol molder-planer, but someone who has one told me that some of the blades were not carbide, so dulled quickly, is that true? If so how do you do to prevent that?
Logosol has equipment to make tounge and grove on ends of flooring boards.
