So I'm trying to figure out if this is a fan film or if the band actually made it because I can kind of see shots of them but at the same time the film is kind of blurry because of what it's filmed on. I can also hear the sound of the audience from when it was recorded for Alivelectric.
I wish I could find Dear Melina somewhere, but they never had it released on an album.
@frailcolin i don't know if you'll see this or not as your comment was so long ago..but....i have an excellent recording from years ago with dear melina on it..message me and I''ll get a copy to you.
I recommend buying their biggest album Eisenhower in store. Most carry that CD but only that CD unfortunately. Their site has some CD"s and other goods, and I've purchased from them. They're legit and you'll get your swag.
@frailcolin yea I already got Eisenhower But I want to hear more of their early stuff like this. And they don't sell all of those on their site. Also, the shipping costs are way to much. If you could just tell me where to download some things of them, I'd sure be glad.
Considering how unlikely it is that they'll make another print of those CD's the shipping is hardly an issue. But if you want to download the MP3's I was able to find a very good collection on Rhapsody and you can buy individual songs or the entire album for digital download.
Hey, i was wondering if The Slip is from Oklahoma, about 20 yrs ago i hung with a band Called the The Slip and Jordan was the Drummer and his brother Jeff was i believe Bass. I believe they were off to a really good start and i seen this band on VEOH and I was like WOW,noway, but nobody looks familiar, or im just Old now, and So are Yall, LOL, Please let me know that would be great??? I was one of the Roadies, Dave Osborn's Girl Friend, If not Yall rock anyway...Michelle
these guys are amazing but im not into their new stuff...why cant they get back to these old days where they played like gecko? get back to their roots a little. Eisenhower was a hit cd but i wasnt a huge fan of it. I want more stuff like their live 2000-2003 with TEWDACYATM/lucky dragon songs
I completely agree. I'm glad I saw them before their whole transition. Actually, it was during the early stages of the transition because I remember Brad said it was one of the first times they played Children Of December.
i love eisnhower. i think it's their best to date. i love the new sound. but i will agree that i see no need to stop playing SOME of the older stuff. honey melon, alsoa, eube, tinderbox, love and tears are some that come to mind.
i think all their stuff is really good. seriously some of you people who only want to hear the jam band side of the slip need to learn to respect good SONGS not just jams. and eisenhower is a pretty psychedelic record by the way. if you like fat spacy jams theres no reason you wouldnt like the songs on that album.
I just saw these guys open for My Morning jacket in Chicago (Friday after Thanksgiving). Great show by both bands. If you get a chance, seek both of these bands out. Phenom!
love this song : )
