I am a capitalist, a westerner but such a disaster in space like Soyuz 1,Apollo 1, Soyuz 11, Challenger and Columbia is beyond politics when it comes to people like you and I perishing in space and we should respect all these men and women.
Putting two oscilloscopes on a table and calling that "mission control" is laughable on a Plan 9 From Outer Space level. The lower scope is a US built Tektronix, hardly someting the Soviets would have been using.
@40390576 The problem is, the Columbia incident could of have been avoided with a simple check on the wings. That's the sad part, knowing that it could of have been prevented so easily, yet NASA ignored the chance to do so.
Well, he can't look much better than his corpse did in his tribute...
Well, as much as you may not think this is a proper justification, circulating images shows the extent of how dangerous things are. People think things are dangerous, but don't really believe they are without photographic evidence.
i think one small mistake in this video is in the last part. because when the hatch was opened, the ground crew eventually know that the cosmonauts are dead. but actually, they tried to do CPR to the cosmonaut and finally found the cosmonauts are dead after the CPR.
@greatindonesia they already knew as soon as re-entry began when there was no response and hearing unusual sounds. 2:22-2:24 they would've suffocated instantly.
It's very well done, great. Though the actual accident happened a while after the PAO separated, not at Entry Interface. (How come there are pics of the ISS in Mission Control? :s )
the screen of mission control shows a picture of the ISS lol

Yes, this was based on original transcripts, everything between the cosmonauts and the ground crew is all verbatim.
