hey jawaballs awesome banner : ) I also have a tactical question for you. My question is about reserves, I have never used it before as no one at my locals do lol. I just wanted to know what was the advantage and the proper way of using reserves. I heard that it is useful to reserve everything if you are going second just to avoid getting your stuff blown up before you can even use it. Is this true? Could you maybe share some of your reserve tactics with me?

The game changes monthly. I made a living out of reserves a year ago. No matter what, I reserved it all, the chief advantage is that it lets you not deploy and then react to where ever your opponent has deployed. In my opinion, the effective reserves game now is only used by fast armies. Eldar, Blood Angels in particular. You have to be able to make up for the late arrival of your troops by taking no more then a turn to get them into it. Check my blog archives, and Fritz's.

I like what you did and you might wanna check into using wall paper sizing painted on canvas. I use that for when I make painted cloths for civil war reenacting. It keeps the "paint" from leaking through. It might be cheaper than using artists canvas and should work very well. Good luck on future banners.

Whould have been awesome to actually write down your army lists on smal patchments like the one at the bottom right, then glue on some kind of Velcro at the bottom right, and just switch them out when you go to tournaments with the army youre playing :3

I don't know about weather proof. You mean like a flag hanging on your porch? It is fabric painted with acrylic paint. I don't think any amount of varnish will protect it from wind and rain.

There are actually several different banners in the codex. They explain that they make new banners for each campaign, all can be different, but each has Sanguinius.
