It not that expensive of a radio, comparing it to a 5000. The APX line will eventually replace the XTS series any way. Also the may need them for future P25 Phase 2 TDMA.

Why do you need such an expensive advanced radio like this ? You had great xts5000 radios

I have the same radio. I use the slim battery. What model number battery are u using.
