Not sure if I 100% agree with her theory of the reptillian mind. Another theory that actually makes more sense is more widely accepted is that we develop a level of 'self worth' as a child depending on the environment we are raised and how we are made to feel by those that raise us. This level of self worth becomes our 'set point' as an adult and we will always veer towards this 'set point' if we are not actively aware of it. Thus we self-sabotage in order to keep us unhappy.
