the problem here is that its not a grounded extension cord......must be an american thing, no australian extension cord is unearthed unless it hasnt been wired right, they are all 3 pin. I suppose most things you are going to do with that cord is using small unearthed appliances.
very nice vids, but you can magnetize a screw driver with most any magnet by raking across once from one pole of the magnet to the other. keep up the great work

I found out about the ceramic black magnets myself once because I used to scrap the coils from the microwave transformer to cash in at the junkyard. few bucks there. anyway, I took apart that magnetron section to see what's in there and discovered them. by the way, they will crack if allowed to snap together hard so gentle care with them. and with the capacitor, either short it out, or just with a pliers one at a time pluck the leads attached to it off

It is also worth mentioning that you can de-magnetize the screw driver using a soldering iron if you need too.
