If there was any year when a Cubs fan had a good reason to say "this is our year," it's this year. 27 games over .500, solid rotation, above average bullpen, and an offense that gets hot and becomes unstoppable at any point in the game. They are the team to beat in the NL. Plain and simple. Even if you guys beat out MN for the division, you're not going to get past Boston or the Angels in the Postseason. yes.. I know.. the LOSERS for the past 99 years.. BUT, the LOSERS have won the division for the 2nd straight year, and have clinched home field advantage throughout the NLDS and NLCS, a place where they're nearly unbeatable.. Wish I could say the same about the Sox, but not so much..

Another dumbass statement by a dumbass Cubs fan. Instead of the "choking" our resident Cubs fans are so accustomed to, the White Sox made baseball history by beating 3 different teams in 3 consecutive games to make the playoffs.
Funny I haven't heard from barmarrs since that happened. Go figure? Perhaps he's been in church night & day praying the Cubs don't choke and make a complete ass out of him again like I suggested.

Baseball history by winning 3 games? Congrats, man, but I think teams have done that hundreds and hundreds of times since baseball started. Who gives a shit if it was against the Indians, who suck, the Tigers, who really, really suck, and the Twins.
Maybe you didn't hear from me because it's not that special to win 3 in a row? And it doesn't matter, Tampa will knock you guys out the first round, and if by some miracle you make it to the 2nd, Boston or LA will gladly finish you guys.
