How to Update Any (Phat) LiteOn Xbox 360 DVD Drive to LT+ 3.0

@sunhouse76 I'm not really sure what you mean, but I think you mean it's stuck and not detected?

If that's what you mean just hit Intro/Device ID and turn off and on your drive after you hit OK.

i have one question..my liteon was flash with LT 3.0 but my dashboard is 20146. is it okie if i just update the dashboard to 14699 without flash back to stock and flash LT 3.0 again? i follow ur tut on how to burn XGD3 i got starting problem it alway come back to dashboard.

@MrGosken Flash to stock first, then update dash, then flash to 3.0. Then you'll be good.

But to answer your question no, as long as your drive is detected, and you have your Dummy.bin then you can do this.

@nikolaskyr1987 Well you can get a X360USB Pro, get a PCI Card Sata, you can wait for the X360USB Pro v2 to come out, you can get a CK3i, CK3 Pro, to power it, etc..

Also, since it is a LiteOn, you need a Probe v3.

@DoctorDubst3p It means that the Xbox you're getting on 2.0 is out dated and you won't be able to play online without getting banned unless you update it to 3.0.

I had a friend flash mine a few years ago, so I don't have keys-it has 1.51 on it. Can I still flash to 3.0? And I have the old x360USB that is blue and came with connectivity kit V2 which only has a molex and a dvd power attachment- can I use this version if I buy the probe? Thanks alot.

@johnarm011 It doesn't matter what firmware your drive is on now.

You have to update to the most recent dash. After you do that, you SHOULD be able to use the Connectivity Kit and the old 360USB.

If not, you'd have to find another way to do it, and yes, you'd need the probe.

Ok so im a little stuck. I used a service to have my drive flashed to 2.0 and the service is no longer available. So this means I dont have any of the files that are initially extracted when the drive is first flashed, including the drive key. Can I still update to 3.0 even though I dont have the drive key?

also, do the revisions need to match...? becuase when I open Dummy.bin, the revision is 74850C, so when I hit auto load it loads up a 1.1 version, so I manualy search for the 3.0 version you used and the revisions do not match up, is that going to be a problem?

After viewing this i dont know where im at. Should my xbox still be 3.0 or not? It plays a backup of Fifa 12 which it did on 3.0 as of yesterday anyway so either way its still flashed.

Great video once again! I don't have the 5 files but I have the key (32 figures comprised of numbers and letters) that comes up in the DVD Key area after you load the Dummy.bin - is this enough for me to update from LT+ 1.9?

@MrUnited6 If you have the key, then yes. What you're going to do is this.

Load the Stock Firmware into the Source. Then when the message comes up, hit Yes to load LT+ 3.0.

Then you're going to go to manual spoofing. Where it shows FFFFFFFF.... you're going to type in your Key. Then hit Check to the left, then hit OK at the bottom.

Then go to MTK Flash 32, and follow along with the video :)

@MrUnited6 Best way to update is either with a Flash Drive or a CD. If you go to Google and look up Xbox Live Dashboard Update DVD, click the first link and you can download it then burn it to a CD.

Then yes, you can power it with CK3i or Pro or Lite.
