For you people who think your quad would make it through, keep in mind that the issue was the skid plate being caught on a mud hill so the tires wouldn't hit the ground, and the sportsman series has like the best suspension height and ground clearence.

@02lb72500HD i got a brute force 750i 2009 i just got. i'm pretty sure it's 4x4. but the point is, i don't see the fun in gettin muddy in a hole when you can be flying thru trails over jumps, climbing hills, and flying down rock roads at 60+. All those things sound more fun and are prolly healthier for the atv... unless you crash. not that a brute can jump very high which is why i need to get a 2nd atv that's lighter and meant for it. i wonder what's good and can handle rocky trails.

@countyingula this is the way i look at it. ya we can haul as* thru trails on our 4x4 quads but they are big and heavy and kinda slow on the steering so it takes some of the fun out of it. i like ridin thru the woods where i can climb over stuff and use the 4x4. mud just happens to be one of the things thats really fun to do lol. i myself am lookin at getting a outlaw 525 for my 2nd quad. your 2nd quad is totally up to you. your best bet is like a raptor 350 or similar. light, cheap and fun lol

I guess everyones got their own thing. i've ran thru mud and i didn't like it.i like to climb hills n cover new trails. To each their own i guess. def need a smaller bike though,i eat everything with my brute. even the bayou 250 was alot more fun cause i was dodging everything but it had no power.

My first polaris went through an entire set of drive chains and sprokets after 2 years of use. but now i have a new polaris with direct drive, no chains. cant compain at all.
