@cloudcityguardian It was from a long-running series of short films called "Our Gang", retitled on TV as "The Little Rascals". This particular short is called "Mail and Female" from 1937.
As many man-hating diesel bull-dykes that are out there today, the He-Man Woman Haters Club would be a welcome club in todays society as an equalizer to all the man-hating bullshit that's out there .
Now that's a real club for men hate who never love women at all.But it's cool to me besides I'm a woman hater myself and the truth is women in the world ain't nothing but a gold-diggin' skanks anyway,go figure.
@dasinfogod Does using four question marks (instead of the customary one) indicate that one is four times as confused or just wants to know four times as much???? When you asked for more specific interrogative, did you mean that them to just use ONE question mark?!? Yes, I'm being facetious. Because, when someone types with multiple exclamation points, it does't make them any louder or their point any stronger!!!!! If just makes the writing look more juvenile.
@RockingJamboree Were you addressing myself or @catherinenew8537? Whilst I'll admit to the occasional gratuitous use of ellipses, it was not I who employed said "????", though you directed your invective remarks at me. The author of a comment is at the bottom of the remark, not at the top. Lastly, given the topic of this clip, I freely admit to being juvenile, but your wee tantrum was mis-addressed.
@dasinfogod Invective? Tantrum? I called writing that used redundant punctuation "juvenile." That's hardly an attack on you. I wouldn't even characterize that as a strong denunciation or abusive language of any kind. My remarks were about a generic "Someone," and I meant my questions as comic and rhetorical rather than hurtful or vindictive.
Then again, it's a poor comic who blames the audience when a joke doesn't go over. If you had confused @catherine28537, was that her fault or yours?
@RockingJamboree Because your original post was addressed to "@dasinfogod" as a direct reply, it would seem reasonable to assume it was directed at myself rather than a blanket generalization "someone". Yes, you clearly stated that you were being facetious, but calling "someone's" writing "juvenile" afterward didn't come across as a humorous aside. I apologize for the use of the word "tantrum"; that was unnecessary hyperbole on my part. Have a good holiday.
@catherinew8537 ...dasin does use some words that aren't exactly in common usage on YouTube, but if you couldn't figure out what he/she meant...you need to work on your vocab
I am a current member of the Upstate New York chapter of the WHC and I must say that I am appalled by your criticism of our club. We, as Americans, have the right to hate anyone we choose. That's why we fight wars and stuff. Dance for me Flory Dory!
Come on now. Misogynistic? We're talking about boys the age of 5 to 10 in 1930. To borrow a phrase from Spanky McFarland, "What's the big idea?" I think this classic storyline is typical of a young boy. Until they are old enough to realize that girls are truly remarkable, boys just don't like girls. Differences, regardless of how the world is now, scare people. It takes good parenting to teach children how to act, not a television show.
sadly, I am old enough to remember this. I also forgot it .. which may also be age related. p.s. Just another old lady with a higher than average IQ, ignore me. Everyone does.
@jeng3000 You should try looking at a history book. The first Blacks and Women in Congress were Republican. Theodore Roosevelt was at the head of a movement for women to get the vote. In 1968, the leaders of the Democrats in Congress were Robert Byrd and Strom Thurmond - two of the most ardent segregationists.
@JohnLloydScharf In the early 1900s Republicans were still the party of the people, not social conservatives, but Democrats started gaining liberal ideals. By the mid century the GOP was in ruins and needed blood so they recruited Dixiecrats, segregationists, religious right and social conservatives. Strom Thurmond joined the GOP in 1964, he organized the GOP convention in 1968. Byrd changed his mind about segregation and stayed in the Democratic party as it became more and more liberal.
And yet Byrd engaged in the longest filibuster in modern times to prevent the Civil Rights Act from passing. It doesn't sound to me like he changed his mind at all.
This video doesn't need to spark a gender war. They're little kids, they're not going to hate women when they start sprouting pubic hair and their balls drop. Remember when we were little kids and thought the opposite sex had cooties? I think this video is quite funny, and if something was done on a show in this same way, I would still think it's funny. Neither men nor women are to be hated, but I can take a joke.
Well why shouldn't we be pissed off and protesting? What kind of a thing is that? Hating women and having clubs.....that's sick. Men are the ones to be hated.....not women.
little rascals is a cute show but times have changed so much since the 1930's. there's no way a show today could have a woman haters club in it without a horde of pissed off women protesting but cute on this show.
So, I'm at the gas station today, and both people on either side of me are on their cell phone talking very animatedly whilst pumping gas, which is dangerous, dangerous enough to warrant the state mandating that a sticker be put on the pump warning you not to talk on your cell phone whilst pumping gas because you could explode. Guess what gender these brainiacs were?
lol my dad was tellin me abt this show on the way back from the beach he said he used 2 watch it all the time :) i watched a few clips and im hooked lol its so funny !
It IS extraordinary, isn't it? The hostility projected at such an innocuous YouTube series is kinda baffling, don't you think? It can be said that anonymity of the TalkBacks emboldens an escalating level of rancor of startling immaturity. It goes beyond mere post-adolescent mysoginism, though, and may have something more to do with the powerlessness they have over protecting a website over which they perceive a possessive entitlement - hence the analogous nod to the He-Man Women Haters Club.

Ahahaha, it's supposed to be funny because they didn't get invited to a party. And straight boys typically think girls are icky at that age.
Y'all need to focus your energy on media that's REALLY making a negative impact on our youth. Like misogynistic music videos.
