Dude your obviously not from NYC. This is the weirest video I've ever seen. Many times its green for the motor vehicles and people are still walking. Dude do you know how hard it is to drive in New York??? If these drivers drove like you...no one would ever be able to turn. Pedestrians in NY walk all of the time regardless of signals.
wow, these new york drivers are fucking idiots. i dont care if you're in NYC, or anywhere else, you abide by the LAW. i dont know what part of traffic lights or signals they dont understand, but common sense says you stop when its red, go when green, or when approaching zebra crossing and there are people on it, you STOP. i dont care how angry or stressed out you are, i dont care how late you are for work, you abide by the LAW at all times. just because youre in nyc doesnt excuse you from it.

@popp119 if thats how you think about driving, you shouldnt be driving at all. the first responsibility of any driver is safety, and if selfish pricks like you cannot see that, then you should get your licence revoked. if you exercised your primitive, backward attitude here you'd either be arrested, or beaten up. and if 'getting there in time' is so important to you, heres a tip - leave earlier. driving in new york is NO excuse for rudeness. its like any other city.

Yea i encounter this everyday and i get so pissed sometimes if im in a bad mood and i have a nice hot coffee in my hand im not afraid to throw it at the car. or if they beep at me ill stand in front of your car for a long long time (if im not in a hurry)
I want to see right turn on red eliminated. That seems to be the biggest issue. And yes, people who park in crosswalks should be fined $500 per incident.
I have to admit I've blocked a walkway once or twice, though not meaning to. It was due to pedestrians trying to run across the street when the lights were in the car's favor or a taxi would race ahead and then stop abruptly. The rudeness can work both ways, regardless if it was intentional or not. Of course it's also a good idea to try to avoid hot spots or certain times of the day, which is why I try to avoid driving in Manhattan during the day, unless I need to.

@kd1s No right on red is in the NYC traffic laws already, so unless you're complaining about Providence I don't see the point of your comment.
Also I didn't see anyone parked in a crosswalk. Which is a $130 fine, found that out in the first month I moved here.
