Brosnan was second only to Connery, and by modern standards, the old bonds are a bit cheesy. It would have been interesting had Brosnan gotten to play Bond for the time frame he should have, from the mid-80s on in place of Timothy-I-can-act-but-not-like­-Bond-Dalton. Brosnan might have managed a legacy like Connery's.

And Famke's always been smoking. She was certainly one of the better Bond bad girls.

OK I prefer old school Bond movies but GoldenEye was very unique Action/Adventure movie - great storyline, impressive visual effects. This movie opened "The New Era Bond Movies". I can't say that Pierce Brosnan was #1 Bond but he looked great in this role. Sean Bean was perfect villain. Famke Janssen was brilliant Bond Girl - real bad ass.

I also love Tina Turner's theme song - very memorable.
