Palin PWNS moveon. Moveon is an organization for DICKLESS and BALL-LESS PUSSIES and BITCHES! Palin will become POTUS and lead America to greatness and prosperity never seen before in the history of this country! She will become the greatest POTUS of all times and put all previous male POTUS to shame! Palin will put an end to moveon just like she did to the moose in the moose ad.
who are the enemies??? the united states government is not your friend or ally, we are slaves to their will and conniving thievery. Watch the theories of elitist control become more and more real as they happen and your life becomes less and lesser. Question: if the govt has the ability to control peoples' minds and actions would they do it? Have they done it? Are they doing it now? Can a President or elected official become a zombie of will? Is the US govt EVIL? Any "yes", all are true. AMEN
All I did was point out that without the name the statement amounts to the same off the cuff opinion one might see anywhere on the net. Using the name is intended to add credibility and thus the poster is guilty of precisely what he attacked others for.
So, there was no deconstruction; I merely questioned the posters motivations, not the meaning of the text.
Its too bad you let politics ruin it for you. I still watch Kurt Russell films, despite my belief that he's an idiot. Even if Im right, it doesn't mean he has no talent.
Now let me get this right based on some of the responses i've seen... If you choose acting as your career you loose your voice and the right to speak your mind.... right. People do think about what you type before you type it? Really? Really?
Lets get to the heart of this. By using his name at all, you are suggesting there is some reason to take note of the statement. In short, you are attempting to invoke his influence. If the statement alone had merit, his name would not be needed. Obviously you recognize this lack of inherent merit and added the name in an attempt to provide the illusion of substance.
In short, you are doing exactly what you attack others for.
The comment has great merit. Most celebrities are poorly educated morons who have gotten used to beibg told they are great. When they are surrounded by a bunch of butt kissers who hang on their every word they start to think what they say is more important. The trouble is they are still morons who need to stick to what they are good at. As for Alice Cooper I liked what he said but I will not be asking him for advise.
If someone simply said: If you get your political advice from celebrities youre a bigger idiot than they are It would be as meaningful as if you, yourself just said, celebrities are idiots. Now, you could add all the qualifiers you like, but that will not change the fact that you decided to use his name in order to add what you think is credibility to it. The statement, by itself, is merely an opinion as meaningful or meaningless as anyone wants it to be. Add a name, however...
... and you've added the meaning that the name carries for anyone that happens to see it. It is an undeniable, unavoidable consequence. Now, you can deny that this was your motivation and that would be fine but it would be a little difficult to believe.
Doesn't John Cusack know that when he gets rich as a celebrity he either has to vote for tax cutting Republicans, run as Republican governor for California or SHUT UP?
John McCain still insists invading Iraq on the premises of lies was a good idea. Apparently, despite the fact that Saddam Hussein abandoned possession of WMD in the face American and international hostility, McCain posits he was a dire threat to the United States.
John McCain still promotes a false notion of national defense.
"I believe, we're going to see a great debate, which the American public deserves, more importantly. None of this negative stuff, though. You won't see it come out of our side at all, because my husband is absolutely opposed to any negative campaigning at all.
I believe I can speak for my husband on the same thing, we'd rather not win than to have to do that. That's not worth winning for."
I tend to agree, but that's the nature of politics today: Put a familiar face on the screen and get votes. GOP tends to get macho idiots, e.g., Tom Selleck and Ahnold. So this isn't new. At least Cusack's questions are accurate.
Actually, his questions are not accurate. McCain is for keeping troops in Iraq as long as they are not in harms ways. (See Germany and Japan as examples.) As for the GI Bill, Democrats wanted to give all benefits to anyone who served, regardless of time with the military. McCain (along with the military brass) wanted benefits to increase based on the time in military service.
But then again, Cusack is known for being able to read a script, regardless of the mistruths that are written.
because they want to keep working in Hollywood, and Hollywood is a conformist atmosphere. to keep working they have to be hired, and many of those who hire have invested BIG BIG money and influence in an Obama presidency. Obama is their racehorse, and the actors are shilling to protect and promote the vested interests of the people who do the hiring and firing in Hollywood.
Betcha can't tell Obama, Carter, or Mondale apart...and I liked Say Anything...I wonder of Cusack could independently defend any of the script from which he read. Stay out of politics, you bore me.
Canada has a privatized social security system and so does most of Europe. You cant rely on simple taxation when your population is rapidly ageing..the Canadian system wont go bankrupt anytime soon.
McCain supported his own GI bill, this ad makes it seem like he didnt support any aid to our troops, he just wanted an alternative bill that would prevent an exodus of potential officers at a time when our army is over stretched.
John Cusack, stick to movies is all I say, STAY OUT OF POLITICS!!!! Face the fact that you're in no way helping Barack Obama and are hurting him by being some whiny supporter who apparently drinks every ounce of kool-aid the jackass gives you! This man makes me sick thinking he knows everything about John McCain, GET A CLUE!!!
Can anyone tell me what the hell happened to freedom of thought and opinion? His opinion isn't the universal truth, nor is yours. And I'm not talking about just the election and politics, but everything.
Shouldn't USA be the land of freedom? Please respect the POV of others, and they'll respect yours.
People/actors/nutcases that I do NOT support-Anyone that supports Obama!!! (and scientologists)
Thanks John Cusack for showing your true side so that I no longer have to spend my hard earned dollars on any movie you are in...Oh wait, do you even act anymore???? Don't recall seeing any trailers that mentioned you at all. Budget getting tight John? I'm sure Obama held out a handful of money. Now that I think about it, just how is Obama and Obama's Baby Momma getting all that money???
So an organisation fully funded by a multi billionaire George Soros, who operates out of the Cayman Islands, decides to set up a socialist shill organisation that affords piss poor actors to carry their message.
You sir are a pretentious halfwit and the democratic process in America is damaged by the billionaires on both sides of the isle interfering and propagandising the people.
John has joined Sean Penn in the bunch of actors I can no longer stand because of their leftist politics, and whose involvement in a movie means I won't pay to see it. Too bad.
Thanks for many great movies up to and including High Fidelity, John. Now, though? You are dead to me. F'in' tool. I'll take 8 more years of Bush than the more years of Carter that Obama inevitably offers. Hell, I'd take 8 more years of Clinton over Obama. Of course, I did vote twice for Bill Clinton...
You're comment made me laugh. They are nuts and you'll be an adult too maybe. What you should say is people are nuts. Older people might be more because knowledge has confused thier brains. People have to much knowledge when what they need more is smarts.
What has Marx got to do with this? Was that supposed to be a smear? Maybe your confusing the political theorist (more of a Menshevik type) with the Bolshevik Dictator Lenin. That would make a better smear. lol
I wonder how this brain dead fool feels now that his little boy Barack is in way over his head.

Which, of course, by citing Alice Cooper, you have just proposed others do and likely have done yourself.

"I believe, we're going to see a great debate, which the American public deserves, more importantly. None of this negative stuff, though. You won't see it come out of our side at all, because my husband is absolutely opposed to any negative campaigning at all.

I have no problems with any of the issues brought about in this ad.
To many Americans are sucking at the Govt TEAT and need to be kicked off the Gov Dole.
Please: Keep fighting terrorist, private SS, etc.
War profiteering eh? So we should not have boeing, Raytheon, or Haliburton then?
Good luck finding someone to build your jumbo jet, innovate your everyday tech devices or even provide hot cooked meals to our brave troops.
Get a clue. Use logic, unplug from your tv life, get some real info.
