Lets get to the heart of this. By using his name at all, you are suggesting there is some reason to take note of the statement. In short, you are attempting to invoke his influence. If the statement alone had merit, his name would not be needed. Obviously you recognize this lack of inherent merit and added the name in an attempt to provide the illusion of substance.

The comment has great merit. Most celebrities are poorly educated morons who have gotten used to beibg told they are great. I tend to agree, but that's the nature of politics today: Put a familiar face on the screen and get votes. GOP tends to get macho idiots, e.g., Tom Selleck and Ahnold. So this isn't new. At least Cusack's questions are accurate.

Actually, his questions are not accurate. McCain is for keeping troops in Iraq as long as they are not in harms ways. (See Germany and Japan as examples.) As for the GI Bill, Democrats wanted to give all benefits to anyone who served, regardless of time with the military. McCain (along with the military brass) wanted benefits to increase based on the time in military service.

But then again, Cusack is known for being able to read a script, regardless of the mistruths that are written.

Canada has a privatized social security system and so does most of Europe. You cant rely on simple taxation when your population is rapidly ageing..the Canadian system wont go bankrupt anytime soon.

McCain supported his own GI bill, this ad makes it seem like he didnt support any aid to our troops, he just wanted an alternative bill that would prevent an exodus of potential officers at a time when our army is over stretched.
