Living with the Chen family drove Songlian insane. The empty loneliness of being a rich man's concubine and the stress of having to compete with the other wives was eating away at her mind. Witnessing the house servants murder the Third Mistress was the final straw and Songlian went crazy.

My teacher in highschool is hella old, and he thinks Gong Li is the most beautiful actress haha...heck I do too! Gong Li is the bomb.
