I cried the first time I watched this. But that was before I watched the End of Eva and I had no idea why Shinji was strangling Asuka... although, even now, I don't fully understand why. Evangelion is a very complex series but when you begin to get what's going on then you really start to appreciate it. This is the best Evangelion AMV that I've ever seen.

ya~ in the end of evangelion no one really dies their just disolved into the base of all human beings LCL but then shinji decides he doesnt want a world like that so he restablishes the AT field in everyones minds so that if they want to return to normal they'll just reform from the LCL.

One of the angels was able to split into two; it required a perfectly synchronized attack between Asuka and Shinji to destroy both at the same time. That pad thing was part of their training (they had a week to prepare for the attack).

In the end seele accomplish the 3rd impact to their desire which starts the human intrumentality project (the forcing of mankind to "evolve" into one being by combining all of the human races minds) but in the TV series it was just about Shinji realizing he was worth something. In the movie EoE him and Eva 01 are the catalyst that starts the 3rd impact but after all the humans of earth are combined but Shinji decides this is wrong and restores individuality
