See this is all buried in mythology and a loooooooong time ago. I'm certain the Chinese had some martial arts before Bhodidharma came by, but he might have influenced them to a good extent... always honor your teachers ; )
that looks very awesome but from the way they're fighting I wouldn't think that they are the mother of all martial arts because their style is so different and the sword techniqe they use... not the same as japanese or chinese but im not say that they are the mothers either
you know I dont actually remeber posting that comment but you may be right about it being influenced by kalari but I think it might have been altered too much when the Chinese and Japanese practiced it
thats a very valid question :) Kalari is believed to have been brought to China by Bhodidharma and all martial arts derive from there. But I'm certain that China had some martial arts before he arrived - he might just have strongly influenced it and made the monks do it, too.
