The interior doesn't look stock, especially for a Plaza which was below the Savoy, Belvedere, & Fury in cost/style/ external trim 7 paint. I've never seen a 2-tone w/chrome strip Plaza.
The car looks more like a Savoy possibly labeled Plaza because it's an export car, not domestic.
My Dad had a '57 2 tone Custom Suburban wagon with the big-ass bumper wings on front (usually on Fury and Belvedere hardtops) - nobody rocked those wings on a wagon in '57.. 58-yeah,but not '57!
What a pretty car! I have always been a huge fan of these. My sister's future inlaws had a '57 Belvedere 2 dr. hardtop in the mid-'60's, when I was a little kid. I thought it was the prettiest car on the road.
My father also had a similar car, Savoy, 57,plymouth. He loved too much that car. however he gave it to a close friend. When my dad died two days later the car went down and crash. Thanks God the driver staid alive! I love this car too!
A very nice car, but in the US this trim line was the Plaza. There was no 383 in a '57. This car is a 6, as there are no "V" emblems on the hood or trunk. My Father was a Dodge Plymouth dealer in the '50's so I know my Mopars!
i had a 59 belvedere that someone took out the 383 and put in a 273 sb...they put a column shift on it too =( i think they did it back in the day thinking it was an upgrade lol...oh well thats why i got it so cheap
What do you think their reason was? They hate Plymouths or are superstitious of Christines maybe? Do Plymouths represent an evil too wicked to not bury, to residents in Tulsa???
LOL! Even I heard about that on the other side of the world :DDD This time they burried a Prowler as far a I konw.. it will be down till around 2050 :D
a cousin buy a plymouth 1957 to arm and disarm the worst conditions in a jajaja and what went on in the trash because it disarm acha with the truth was very good plymouth
This really takes me back. My dad had a '57 Belvedere when I was growing up in the early '60's. Midnight blue with a white roof and white side spear. It was an early model and everything that could go wrong with it did, but boy, was it beautiful.
I just saw your 1957 DeSoto Diplomat in another video, and I apologize for the mix-up...since the titles on this clip are in Portuguese, you apparently live in Brasil...

@bongomanfromdalou It was fascinating to see the km speedometer. This was clearly an export model. Very nicely looked after and updated
