They needed each other. Obviously they needed Bach to be good, but at the same time, he can't write songs. He didn't write any of the songs that were responsible for all his success, those were already written prior to him joining. I believe they kicked him out because they just couldn't get along. Neither Bach nor the rest of the band would have "made it" without each other, because Bach provided the voice and all the character for the band.

i got to talk to him during a show in nottingham when some guys next to me flipped him off during this song, and then left.

he asked me where they went, they told me to show him where rock cit (nightclub) was after the show so he could find them.

all great fun, but he never showed up
