  • Honestly the whole occupy movement is stupid and idiotic there wil l always be social and economic inequality, corporate greed, and the corrupting influence of corporate money and lobbyists on government and democracybecause there the things that make our country better

If you like rich people having more privlidges who cares if people work hard to be successful and get certian things its because THEY EARNED IT

  • Wow. People's comments are intense.

  • @icallherpeaches fuck you asshole YOUR clearly a fucking loser

  • Those police are following illegal orders and the excuse, "I was just following orders." will not protect them.

  • later jackasses

  • @icallherpeaches I guess you need a baton to the head and a can of mace in the face. I'm pretty sure here in Canada, there are laws against treating people like they're "second class citizens." Job or no job, ever hear of EI? You sound like a classist bigot and are probably racist to boot. I lulz @ ur stoopid.

  • @icallherpeaches What makes someone a loser? And because of that reason it's justifiable to beat the shit out of them? you sound like a troll or a bigot.

  • the cops look like abuncha zombies eating a body

  • AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • If they wanted they could have slept at home and returned every day. They chose to set up tents and break the law - They faced the consequences. Nothing wrong here...

  • If these protesters did not break the law while protesting, nothing would have happened. And those who say the police started the skirmish, forget this simple fact. Also, people always blame the police, but the police went in to remove the tents (one of the laws being broken), and protesters resisted. The protesters choose to break the law, they must deal with the consequences.

  • Fuckin black magic (bad use of language!!)...you guys just don't realize that the power of speech can be used for the good of humanity or can take us straight to HELL!!...don't you get it!!...we are the only species that has that power!!...and see how we abuse of it in the worst way!!...let's get our act together!!...

  • When will the rest of Nova scotia stand the hell up and do something???????

  • Okay everyone stop hating on the police/ saying this is violence 1, The police were given orders. now for all you saying this is violence, look at Libya that was violence having your government shoot you with weapons and such.

Now all you protesters you are crying that the government taxes the money you make, get over it because they also give you Health care, CPP, roads to drive on, fire fighters, schools and many more things( The right to protest and voice your opinion)

  • An Orwellian shake down.

  • Fikin good.

  • This was the perfect day for this..out of respect for the Soldier's that fought, are fighting & those have died or were injured for our freedoms! Lest we forget!

  • Thanks from me too! ...they obviously can't count either. I'm sure that since it was an announced eviction & they were given several hrs notice, that they managed to round up a few onlookers,to see the whole 14 get arrested. LoL! Losers!

  • a remembrance day to never forget, thanx officers!!

  • I agree it sounds dumb!!...but that's what they should actualy be doing, insuring public safety and in the public's interest!!...but of course, that's not what they are doing!!...in a true democracy, the occupy mouvement should be offered a nice dry place where they could group together, discuss freely, make statements to mainstream medias, meet with city officials and have there points discused at the highest level of government!!...see what I mean and maybe that's what "occupy" should do!!..

  • Where are our civil liberties when it comes to protesting peacefully in a democratic society?? Come on Mayor Peter Kelly.........grow up. The CAW is behind Occupy Nova Scotia as well as the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour...........We have to stand up for what we believe in!!!!!!!!!

  • Well that was surreal...

If these retards had read The Art of War, they'd know there is a time for tactical retreat.

Use your individual powers, the masses are mindless.

  • Too all who read this....make no mistake that occupy Nova Scotia was nothing more than a drug and sex haven for more than 75% of the population..I know this first hand....this had to go before someones child died...and yes it was going to happen......to those who were truly there for a real protest....your doing it wrong!!...go to the source...start with Nova Scotia power...then Bell Media...then irving oil...keep a focus..keep the bad people out and stay strong!!!

  • By several hundred you mean tops 100

  • Congradulation Halifax PD.

  • Here they go again!!...violently breaking and entering a peaceful protest instead of showing compasion by giving people shelter, food and dry clothes!!...oh and and by the way?...when will the real guilty ones be brought to trial for "staging" the WTC attack?...three steel metal towers coming straight down at "free fall" speed on the same day?...of course it was controled demolition!!...and who benifited the most from this event?...certainly not the arab leaders!!...HUM?...let me think??

  • @rickthelup excuse me, but how in the fuck are the police responsible for feeding, sheltering, and clothing these people? lol. that is by far the dumbest comment yet.

  • Woo Hoo Yay for Peter Kelly!

  • Treating people like criminals into whch they arent criminals at all! what laws were they breaking. Occupy needs to use legal rights and prosecute the Police and whoever is responsible for instructing the police.

  • @Sk8boarderRocker12 its a public place. if i went down there on a normal day and set up a tent the police would kick me out. you just cant set up tents and camp out in a public area. if you could do that then every homeless person would be down there living in tents. so to answer your question, yes they were in fact breaking the law and the police had every right to do what they did.

  • @dafuksup Sorry that was my mother... lol.

  • i hear they busted a guys skull

  • fucking nazi pigs....so much for our civil liberaties

  • @Paddy8111 civil liberties? how about the civil liberties you tried to take from the rest of the public and taxpayers by occupying and dirtying up a public city park bought and paid for by the taxpayers to be used as a PARK not your own personal campground to hang up your dirty underwear and sleep on the benches that working people like to sit on. if youre going to start a protest, do it right.

  • @Paddy8111 Dude, they're just doing they're jobs. How can you call them Nazis? Maybe if ALL of these protestors were Jewish, then you would be correct. All of these moronic hippies need to learn a lesson and get a god damn job. People aren't allowed to sleep in parks and just set up camp, its the law. These losers deserve to be "evicted". Screw you and screw them. God bless America.

  • @GhettoWorkout1 You are a poor person inside... I wish for you to grow up, educate yourself and find some humanity within

  • @Paddy8111 It should be illegal for someone to compare what people they simply disagree with to the Nazis. it only serves to show that the individual making the comparison has nothing of value to put into the debate.

  • @Paddy8111 Liberties? Your liberties don't extend to breaking laws.

  • Once again the only violence caused is by the police.

  • @FacelesswithEyesOpen So the protesters breaking the law had nothing to do with the whole situation?

  • @quedorf breaking what law doing what harm? Doing what violence? Causing what disruption? After peacefully moving aside for Remembrance Day ceremonies this is how the city responded.

  • @FacelesswithEyesOpen How about the no tents in parks by-law. A by-law which every city had and they broke for weeks. How about obstruction of justice, resisting arrest etc...? Harm by preventing the public to use their park, the mess left by many occupy sites after they leave the area, constent noise in the night, drugs, etc... Is that enough to warrent being kicked out?

  • @FacelesswithEyesOpen Well first and foremost was the no tenting in public spaces. That's a law. And you are going to tell me no drugs were there. That is illegal. As far as causing a disruption. The whole concept of the protest is to cayuse a disruption. Harm? The public spaces were unable to be used by PUBLIC. They were left in a mess by protesters. Shall I go on, or do you see where your response is flawed?

  • @quedorf I see you are an anal uptight typical conservative who likely loves Harper and hasn't got the slightest understanding of the issues at hand.

  • @FacelesswithEyesOpen Well, Isn't that interesting. Another case of you being totally wrong, and full of crap. Quit while you are ahead...

  • @FacelesswithEyesOpen Ad Hominem attacks eh. You got proved wrong (Saying there is no law breaking - and being told how there was) now you are resorting to insults great argumentative skills.

  • @Salo69177 I am not trying to score points or win friends among those I offend with my perspective.

  • Comment removed

  • @FacelesswithEyesOpen Ya...ok. It's not a camp ground.

  • @FacelesswithEyesOpen yeah, after those breaking the law refuse to move. but go ahead and pretend it's random, unprovoked violence, it's a sexier soundbite.
