  • @wolliollie Well, it was never a hit song but i think this was his way of saying that he moved on in a life that had many other things to explore as opposed to just reliving memories.

  • @Haroldbeavis1969 that makes sense

  • exelente!!!!

  • Aww...just beautiful...especially the "crescendo sequence" near the song's end...it's lovely.

Thanks for the post, and the beautiful shots of the moon...I'll be watching her come up over the ridge at Glacier Point in Yosemite in a few days! :) :) :)

  • Gorgeousness and gorgeosity from George. When I'm feeling a little dark, George makes me feel better. A couple of weeks ago, during the last full moon, I was walking back to the shack and the moon was lovely and silver. It reminded me of being a child, playing hide and seek outside on a summer night. It was a fond memory.

  • Antes, con The Beatles fue "Here Comes The Sun", después este "Here Comes The Moon"...SIEMPRE GEORGE!!! El Gran Beatle Místico y Sensible. ¡Cuánta belleza hay en sus canciones!

    GEORGE HARRISON FOREVER!!!

  • Happy Full Moon everyone! Peace and love to all my brothers and sisters everywhere.

  • great, i was looking for something related to the moon and i found this song by the amazing geroge harrison and I loved it, like I love here comes the sun and so many he wrote

  • i love this song i thinks it a little beter than the sun

  • This song is like Valium to me... In fact this whole LP ("George Harrison" 1979) has an awesome and calming affect on me.

  • This is a successor to Here comes the sun. Almost a lyrical sequel.

  • I thought this was a spoof of here comes the sun but it's actually another song? which song was written first?

  • i think here comes the sun was written first because you know how the sun comes up before the moon :p lol nah i really dont know

  • it was

  • @Dahpoo -- In Jewish tradition, the moon signify the beginning of the new day.----- no, I am not Jewish.

  • Moon: 1979

    Sun: 1969

  • here comes the sun, but there both done by the same person

  • I think I have seen the first youtube page without hate wars going on. But who could be angry to this song?

  • i hate......to see your youtube account vanished my friend.

  • Much underrated song, great stuff. Beautiful Moon, a new tribute song to George Harrison, has just been posted on my site. Please visit if you wish.

  • Truely one of George's finest solo works.

    Signed ZenLay

  • did anyone else see the moon a few nights ago? it was supposed to be a one in a life time chance to see it that way-it looked like a big smile! great song

  • I don't know where are you typing from... Where did happen this wonderful moonlight evening?

  • australia, melbourne

  • I have a contact in Melbourne. She & I shared that (I am in Kentucky, USA)

  • You're all sort of right, he had some magic mushrooms which was the first time he'd had anything in ages, and this was whislt in Hawaii.

  • ok...whatever, smilimoo, i have about 4 documentaries, and five books, which all say that this is about LSD, so your just being ignorant if you think this is about hawaii, maybe he was there at the time i dont give a shit, but this IS about LSD

  • whats with people like you and drugs?

  • whats people like you and drugs?

  • this song was written after george did lsd for the forst time in 10 years...during the trip he got paranoid and wrote this song

  • Actually, according to his book, "I, Me, Mine," he said; "Sunsets in Hawaii were marvellous..... Everything was so wonderful and then one evening I turned round and the full moon was coming up as the sun was going down--all this AND here comes the moon! Too much."This song sounds more awestruck than paranoid! You might be mixing this song up with "Soft Hearted Hana," which was about 'shrooms, not lsd. Now, THAT is one weird song...and very amusing.

  • (((George)))

  • GENIUS! The opposite of Here Comes the Sun which is ALSO genius. This is one of the greatest lullabies of all time and it's beauty is in it's accuracy atmosphere the George captured time and time again. Tranquil, spiritual, beautiful and perfect. R.I.P George. The world loves you as you loved it. XxX

  • @andbev0402 ? Taking one of your song titles and changing it a bit isn't genius...But this song is.

  • @andbev0402 lol best lullabies of all time ah dont think so, reality check please

  • Well, see, he wrote "Here Comes The Sun"...

And decided that, having seen the moon rise in Hawaii, he would write one for "the little brother to the sun".

Gorgeous song. Equal to its brother...

  • Beautiful song...What album is it on?

  • It's on his eponymous album that he released in 1977. It's got some gorgeous melodies. Check out "Love Comes to Everyone" from it

  • 1979!

  • whoops, my bad. you're right

  • Beautiful song...What album is it on?

  • "George Harrison." One of my favorite Harrison albums, also one of my top "must have on a desert island" albums.

  • This song brings too many memories... Simply perfect! Congratulations one more time, dear Irene!

  • Great video, Thank you so much for sharing your art with us. GREAT SONG, one of my favorite George Harrison albums....

  • Huyyy amo esta canción

    muchas gracias George!1

    que bella canción.

  • wow i love it!! so beautiful!

  • The slide guitar, acoustic guitars, multi layered voice recordings... Georges sound is unique. It's really amazing how versatile his sound is. It can be happy, sad, rocking, gently, mean... he's a good composer. George did it his own way, he stood out from the crowd, he was unique without being TOO unique. A good fella, love his music.

  • just as beautiful as Imagine, and I consider Imagine the most beautiful song in the world...George is my favorite person, and him having passed this song almost makes me cry every time I hear it =(

  • beautiful. thank You for posting this. <3 3~

  • Haha! I could very quickly tell it was him. It's his kind of writing, his kind of instrument selection, and the way he sings is so familiar and warm. He always had a special way of weeving his voice.

  • Here Comes the Sun, Here Comes the Moon... weird...

  • more like beautiful.

  • Your right. Beautiful ^.^

  • hey if you dont like why are you watching it

  • What the hell are you talking about? I love the song? What in my comment implied that I didn't like it?! I just though the relation of the Two song titles a little odd.

  • George really loved nature, didn't he? <3

  • This song is adorable. george is the COOLEST. hes like the god of music. I cant believe somebody this brilliant could pass away. at least we still have his thoughts and music

  • Very refreshing! Beautiful pictures to a beautiful song.

  • Very beautiful. Apparently George was in Hawai when he got the inspiration for this song. He's so sadly missed by all of us!
