i guess he's right for most people. You need to have a niche market and use attractive words to capture the prospects attention. Instead of asking for appointments, try requesting to send some literature. Follow-up, ask for the order, if the customer stalls then ask for an appointment to discuss how your service/product savesmoney, cut expenses etc... Best for business 2 business
Look at all these morons with the 70s selling mentality. I hate it when morons like you call me during my dinner time. You're all a bunch of assholes!
cold calling is dead? i disagree. in some corners of the industry, cold calling is still very much alive and well, in spite of the popularity of the National Do Not Call Registry and anti cold calling advocates like yourself, cold calling HAS and STILL is one of the most efficient way to build a book of business. bottom line: cold calling can pay off.
Make posters ,web ads , and wait for the customers to roll in? ??
Marketing, email and other things Complement cold calling , not replace.
"If you call a brain surgeon" , wait, thats not cold calling at all, thats the customer calling the service provider, isnt that what this video wants????
This makes perfect sense. Because Cold Calling makes u sound like a Tele-Marketer, who are seen as unprofessional by most. It shows the attribute of desperation.
I'm curious how many of these "Authors" have practiced and succeeded in sales in the real world. I'm not saying this is the case with the Author of this book and video, but until you've been in the trenches and have the sales battle scars; it is just motivational nonsense.
I agree that cold calling is in fact going the way of the dinosaur; however it is not dead. Cold calling can be a vital part of a company's strategy to compliment marketing initiatives.
Chester - what your company fails to see is that if they were marketing instead of cold calling, they'd generate 3 or 4 million a year instead of 1/2 million. That's the fallacy with cold calling - people are getting by, but don't see the potential of freeing up their time by eliminating prospecting from the equation.
thank you now I have good reasons now not to accept the salesjob these people desperatly want to have involving so many bludy cold calls promising me so much in life.

If cold calling is so "dead," then how does my company generate over half-million dollars in sales strictly by cold calling?

So what do you do instead if you have no client base?

@sullytube7
Sit by the phone and wait for somebody to call you.
Or put commercials on TV or on youtube. That's A LOT less annoying.
