Respectfully, I don't think that is a fair statement. The US military has an unbelievably compliant media comprised of hundreds of TV networks, countless newspapers and an advertising budget that is probably a billion dollars. What gets me, in the issue of Iraq. During the first gulf war, when Saddam had invaded Kuwait. Why didn't the U.S. get rid of him in the first place? I said then, we would end up going back, and we did! What a waste of effort, we did, by not getting rid of Saddam in the first place. This is why the world thinks the U.S. is stupid. When you go to war, you don't stop, until it is over. Look at the 1967 war. Israel should had killed all the people, now giving them grief.....
