if u watch at the very beginning before the swing(might have to replay it a couple times), he actually bends the shaft twice by pressing it down on the ground. Its almost like hes building up strength or getting his adrenaline going. But maybe hes just doing that to relieve tension in his hands or just because he likes to do it for no good reason... either way thats a weird querk i havent seen before but it worked for him
Snead was not over the top. Notice the difference between his foot alignment and his shoulder alignment. His shoulder line is relatively square. There is also good and bad versions of below the plane on the the backswing. The typical mistake is when the club head travels inside but the hands do not, or even move away from the body. This also usually features a clubface that is rolled open too soon. Snead looks to keep the clubface relatively square to the arc on the takeaway.
i dont beilve that going under your plane in the back swing would always make you slice by coming over the top, its ok if you do it a little bit, but if you do it alot its forces yours arms to do that way over the top thing where its just impossible to get on plane
he took the club inside on the takeaway and looped it slightly back over the top on the downswing. the key was to not let the clubhead go outside the line coming down. billy harmon had a lesson on this years ago in a magazine and i tried it. my swing is smoother and more consistent.if sam, bobby jones, chi chi and others used it then most of us hacks should at least consider it.

nice draw, I don't think I'll ever get the knee action on the start of the swing, damn hard.

An overstatement--but I'd pick Snead's too.
