  • @MrRisky562 I am from australia and i own a bearded dragon and they do not smell at all nor do they bite or scratch. If you get it from a baby and handle it enough it will warm up to you and become very comfortable with human contact. Hope that helps :)

  • Come check out my vids!

  • CHECK OUT MY BEARDED DRAGON AND MY GOILATH FROG !! SUBSCRIBE!!

  • You are so dumb ass holr

  • after weeks of research and a good amount of money spent on a vivarium, im getting a baby beardie on sunday from repticon. i shall name him Glaedr

  • Bearded dragons CAN lay on there backs. I have seen one who likes to have its belly rubbed.

  • do you think sending lizards in boxes is rong

  • U dont hold them on the backs to sex them it causes them to not breath properly, and it is very unconfertable for them lay them on a flat surface and raise the tail 90 degrees or so if it's male it will have two eggs shapes Lyon at either side of the base of it's tail if female it will have one bump just above the vent or nothing at all

  • Would you PLEASE cough? Just once? Please?

  • @ImAaronF do something to show her you are responsible enough... Also tell her that she will never have to see it or touch it if she dosnt want to... My mom was the same way and I did that and good one a week ago! Try it!

  • I want a bearded dragon so much! But my mom hates lizards and snakes! XD!

  • what would be the difference between getting one from a breeder and getting one at petsmart? are they treated differently when they're sold at a retail store? just wondering because im thinking of getting one

  • Fucking bitch, my bearded dragon has a piece of his tail cut off and he's still an amazing pet.

  • do they stink?

  • @u2bwachr Nope

  • @Lewis7632 i completely agree just cough or something YOU FAT BITCH!!!!!

  • Selves if not held a lot. Iguanas are different and get bigger and live to 22 years if covered with great care. They need tanks that are big when they get larger. A beardie isnt as big as 6 feet, which is an iguanas adult size.

  • Aha. I have an Iguana and i saw a Bearded Dragon at Petco i started to cry. Beardies are meant to be held by humans. They can kill themsl

  • I'm at a tie between an Green Iguana, and a Bearded Dragon.

  • you shouldent put sand in there cages when they stick out there tongue to eat they will get sand and thell have to remove the sand from his stomach

  • Okay (:

    Glad I could help

  • Does anybody know if I can put a couple of a male and a female or a female and another female in the same tank?

I have an about 7 months female and I would like to buy another one.

  • @blakav3lli They will rip each other apart, you might need to try and bond them, mine is missing a toe from her previous owner.

  • @xCanadensis

So do you think would be a good idea put another female in the same tank?

  • @blakav3lli

If they bond well, or are at good breeding age. I just don't want any of your darlings getting injured. My advice is to research it a bit. Once one is found to be more dominate then they could go together, but one will remain smaller, which is okay.

  • @xCanadensis thank you very much!! I think I would let her alone in her enclosure cause I read that they are happy living alone! =)

  • @blakav3lli don't put males togetter they fight and sometimes to the death..females u could but keep a eye on them...me i like to keep BD in different tanks

  • @Taurusthebull8 yes, I prefer not to take risk so I´m not going to buy another one.

    Thanks for your help! =)

  • Check out my Bearded Dragon video =)

  • Not how you sex a bearded dragon, And you can sex a bearded dragon as a baby OR adult....

  • Comment removed

  • What does it mean when they sit with their mouths open?

  • @edawgandn8 They do this while they bask, it releases excess heat.

  • OMG they eat humans. You heard her!

  • you should never ever hold a bearded dragon upside dow cos when you there organs compres there lungs and they cant breath.

  • thats mean

  • @WeLoveBeingRandom What the hell? She's the director of a reptile show, not some bearded dragon expert. People who handle such a large variety of reptiles hardly ever know what they're talking about when it comes to specific facts. She OBVIOUSLY is no exception. However, if all of my facts are wrong, please tell me which are and let me know why, I love a good laugh.

  • It's ok if a toe or tail is bitten off only if it's taken care of

  • lol I kept clearing my throat while listening to her talk in hopes that in some weird way it would clear HER voice!

  • Right the guy before me is an idiot because everything he said is wrong she is the expert she knows and males have femeral paws idiot

  • In the wild they do not live on sand they live on rock. And the few that do live on sand get impacted. The average life span of a wild beardie is 2 years. Videos like this should be taken down, because all you're doing is misinforming people, who could harm or possibly kill their animal because they took your horrible advice. That's right, impaction kills dragons. And so does putting them on their back if you force them to stay there long enough

  • You're incredibly ignorant. There are so many things in this video that I'd like to slap you for. First, NEVER hold a dragon upside down! They can't breathe! Second, that is not how you sex them. Females have femoral pores as well, and they also have one bump. Dragons do infact "hibernate". It's called brumation and they do it EVERY year once they're adults. In the wild they do not live on sand, they live

  • she's just scaring the poor thing that she's holding. and who was supplying that information?! horribly wrong...

  • 1:17 out of my way

  • There the greatest pet for you thumbs up bearded dragon lovers

  • just like expertvillage

  • Did she say sexy beared dragons? o3o 1:21

  • @BatEared sexing, how to tell if its a male or female

  • actually if your beaded dragon is sitting with it's mouth out it's not a bad thing. it's called gaping,it's how they regulate their body temps.

  • at 1:22 you see classic dominance behavior. Big reason they should live ALONE. Males AND Females have the pores, they do NOT tell you gender. You must lift the tail over the back to a 90 deg angle with the dragon sitting normally. You will see either one lump just above the vent = female, or two bumps = male. BDs can NOT breath on their backs. How would you like to be suffocated while someone wrongly tells how to tell if you are a dude or not? This vid is retarded. Expert on stupidity maybe

  • Hey, look guys It's ms. Chockesondick from south park

  • Bearded Dragon for adoption. He is very friendly and I am not sure I can pay overnight shipping. He is a normal beardie. Used to be a great eater. Has a calcium deficiency or broken leg problem. Besides shipping he cost $0.00 you will have to message me why you are fit to being the owner. He has been loved his whole life he is almost 2 years old now and I dont want him to pass now. HAVE A CARING HEART MESSAGE ME ben32reptiles NOW>

  • Wow i just starting taking care of different reptiles, and I even know not to put a lizard on its back like that.....some expert...

  • @Florey96

you do know a lot of lizards actually lay on their back by themselves and like it, right?

  • @blyndsnypr Yeah i know some species do that, or when people lay them on their back they dont even care. Although other species like bearded dragons or chinese water dragons for example, it gets harder for them to breathe

  • @Florey96 It was just for a couple seconds. I'm sure she knew.

  • not expert enough, when i was 9 i know how to take care of every animals. like nature take care of them

  • Great pet fore me! :-D

  • Its the right pet for me. <3

  • I wasn't annoyed by this woman's voice until I read those comments. THXALOT.

  • dj-ness. webs. com

  • they don't hibernate?.....erm....brumation?

  • @Raptorman0205 brumate so they can mate

  • @chesleycareystar

no, brumation is when every year around winter time, the lizard will stop eating and sorta "hibernate" for a month or two.

  • @Raptorman0205 when hibernation start?

  • @chesleycareystar

i can't remember the specific time zones. when a beardie reaches around 1 year of age, about winter time they'll start to eat less. that means they're preparing to brumate. never put a young or sick beardie under brumation, because they're not strong enough to survive brumation.

  • @Raptorman0205 mine is just a month old maybe next year cause he is brumating like crazy and at least i avoid him to brumate

  • @chesleycareystar

a month old dragon shouldn't be brumating. u should probably take him to a vet.

  • @Raptorman0205 its fine, i know what im doing :) i only have no idea in brumation period.

  • @chesleycareystar

just reduce the amount of daytime and don't feed it.

  • @Raptorman0205 thanks :)

  • dude dont turn em upside down they cant breathe like that! why do you think he was wrigling to turn over

  • i know right thelordbaphomet

  • 1:30-1:45 put me down bitch! you think its funny??!!

  • 1:40 - 1:43 PENIS!!!!

  • it's actually harder than I imagined but I can handle it (:

  • this video is really helpful Im going to get one for my birthday in July but I did research on the Internet about everything I needed to know to Care for one. it's sctua

  • Find one that's completely intact..

  • I'm highly against keeping these guys as pets. I feel they should be running in their natural habitat. At the same time though I'd love to have one, but I tell myself not to get one because if I were a lizard I'd rather be running around in my natural habitat vs. a cage with limited room to run.

  • @Sallyallie89 There habitat being australia

  • @Sallyallie89 I understand your point and you make a good one without offending keepers themselves. Although i do have two major points here Sally.

    1) Surely then, any animal regardless of size or habitat, should not be kept as a pet.

    2) Most reptiles have a longer lifespan when kept correctly than what they would in the wild.

  • @STReptilesUK In that case you have a good point as well. I guess my next thing would be that they should live in a nice large cage. This next thing I say will seem crazy, but I read in a book on the green anole (it's a lizard) that some people, if they have one, will keep their lizards outside in their green house. I thought that was pretty interesting and the lizards are probably very happy with such a large space to roam around in. Not saying people should go that crazy though of course lol.

  • @Sallyallie89 The larger space you can give an animal the absolute better. If i had the time/space/money i would build 20ft x 20ft x 10ft vivariums for Beardies. It mostly comes down to personal preference and if a Beardy didn't feel comfortable in a 3x2x2 then that would mostly be down to the way the animal is treated and its surroundings, rather than the space it actually has. =D

  • @STReptilesUK Yeah, if I had the money I'd do it. Plus green houses are nice to have if you have a lot of beautiful plants inside =) ... I'm not sure if all types of lizards are safe in one though. I just know the green anole is safe in there based on the book I read anyway haha. I would love to have a bearded dragon though one day. They are so beautiful looking. And I know what you mean based on treatment as well. I treat all my pets very well =)

  • @Sallyallie89 Beardies would probibly not be happy in a greenhouse. Most greenhouses have a pretty high humidity that bearded dragons can't handle living in. If the humidity is too high then they can get bad respiratory illnesses

  • @crazykayaful If that's true then that's understandable. Still though, I think it's best if these type of pets remain out in the wild. I know if I were a lizard I'd choose my natural habitat over a cage any day =p

  • @Sallyallie89 well if your a good owner then you would let him out and let him get exercise. I have an outdoor cage. and they do bond to their owner.

  • @Sallyallie89 Theres many that could realistically be kept in a greenhouse with the right sort of plants providing heat & humidity is regulated. Green Iguana's (although they would eat most of the plants) would be happy in there as long as it was safe enough and the glass reinforced. Most Chameleons, Water Dragons. The problem with keeping Green Anoles in there (imho) would be they are very small, very scatty, and the temps shouldnt drop below 60f during the night. Did u get a beardy in the end?

  • @STReptilesUK I never got a bearded dragon, but years ago my cousin had one for a week because he had to watch over it for a friend of his while they were on vacation. They are very fascinating lizards, but I would never want one for a pet unless maybe it was saved from the wild or something. Then I wouldn't feel as bad about having it because I saved it's life haha =)

  • @Sallyallie89 There are plenty that are currently in captivity that need good homes. Whether it be because the owners cant look after it anymore, cant give it attention, dont want it etc etc. Sometimes if you go into local pet shops they have ones they have rescued due to defects (tail nip, blindness etc) which would be happy to have somebody take off their hands for free and since you seem like a well educated person, im sure they would be better off with you than stuck in a tiny display viv.

  • blablablabla..........its right for me know where did you say i can get this type of dog?

  • How big of a tank should I get to have a comfortable Bearded Dragon? And should I try to buy it all in a package used or should I buy it all new?

  • @Jamjor 40 gallon LONG tank

  • @Jamjor I would strongly advise you not to buy anything secondhand. You have absolutly no idea when it was last uses, what was in it, and more importantly why there is now nothing in it. Always go new. As much room as you can grant a Beardy is pretty much the amount. Never go smaller than a 3ft x 2ft x 2ft or it will just be stressed out. Remember a Beardy has a fair amount of open space in the wild.

  • that bearded dragon is thinking have a fukking drink woman

  • That is not how you sex a dragon... The femoral pores, sure. Males typically have darker, more noticeable ones. BUT If it has just on horizontal lump at the base of the underside of the tail, that is actually female. A male has two bumps going about a quarter way down the underside of the tail....

  • You are also sexing them wrong....

  • She makes me want to clear my throat for no reason...

  • Has she been smoking for like her whole life or something?

  • Oh my god....dont hold the poor thing upside down crazy woman. They can't breathe like that. Goodness me ....Monkeyseevideos are not the best source of information when it comes to beardie care.

  • COUUGGGH FFFS FUCCCCK!!!!

  • This bitch obviously doesn't know too much about beardies... If you hold them upside down, they can't breathe and can suffocate. Watch someone else's video if you want to learn about bearded dragons - someone who actually knows what they're doing.

  • Compleatly so

  • I HATE people leaving stupid comments like the top ones. These people are making these videos for educational purposes and people that are mis informed appreciate it. Quit complaining about stupid shit, if you don't like it just click another video. Stop complaining and say thanks for there efforts.

  • lol 2:22 he picks some food then looks at the camera and happily goes NOM NOM NOM NOM

  • Generally a male? And that bulge is probably a penis.

  • awww i want one but i probably wont have the space.... :(

  • i have one his name is schmed aka "king schmedly"

  • 1:45 hes like bitch its not gonna suck its self

  • do they bite??

  • @asees97 No, they don't bite.

  • 1:38 bitch turn him over!!!

  • At my local pet store there are baby beardies sitting with there mouths open, what does it mean?

  • @IpadKinect just wen theyr baskin under the light, its how they keep the perfect temperature

  • I hate this chick

  • i want one but i dunno how to convince meh family WAHHHH or i can just later on in a LOOOOOONG time ill get my own wen i move outta za house >:)

  • My god the part where they were on top of eat other is sooo cute lol my beardy is damn right tough she had 41 eggs which is crazy she lost her 2 nails o. Two fingers which was her fault but she still has those fingers. And she was sat on but gave a fight and put the guy in hospital because she actually cut his ass

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, YOU SHOULD NOT HOLD THEM UPPSIDE DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111

  • Bearded Dragons are amazing pets, I got my first reptile pet yesterday a citrus hypo leatherback (BD) everything she says in here is true,, just do not put them on their back because they will DIE because they can not breath, theres also a big flame war on Sand or tile or carpet. Honestly I use tile just because its easier to clean up their poo and piss. the tile also trims their nails so the nails dont grow outragously long. PARENTS only get this for your kid if he is extremely mature.

  • at 1:48 he is chilling!

  • I am planing to buy a bearded dragon, i am gathering the information about it for 2 weeks now ( i want to be prepared before buying one ), i got through everything but got just one more question, do they have to eat mices? can they get some food from the pet store like some kind of flavoured chips and that kind of stuff. sorry for my bad english

  • Yeh stop fucking holding it upside down ANIMAL CRULTY never do that or itll die u shoodnt even have them

  • oh my god shes fat!!!

  • @zik689 well they dont pee, they do poop but not much, they Are great pets and easy to manage yet a little costly

  • MY bearded dragon wont eat its food i am worried its like 2 weeks old and he doesnt eat his crickets or veggies but it kinda eats mealworms it ate 2, 2 days ago

  • Hello, I have two questions, are Bearded Dragon morphs as 'good' as the regular? As well as, do they have some health, or other problems?

  • How can I convince my family that we should get a Bearded Dragon?

  • please clear ur voice ffs cough, lolol

  • @mymightyboosh LOL xD!

  • Oh, they're omnivores and, according to you, can eat anything, so i can feed them pizza? (Not serious)

  • Just wanted to let everyone know that there is nothing wrong with bearded dragons who have tail nips or other nips from other bearded dragons. My Charles is as loving and caring as any other bearded dragons. Please do not discriminate againsts these creatures for having tail nips or missing toes, etc. Also, if everyone isn't loving enough to see past the nips than what happens to the bearded dragons who have these nips? Just wanted to say that there is nothing wrong with nips still healthy.

  • well, my beardie has one leg missing. (from about his knee down) and thats how i bought him. i got im from my uncle (who's a reptile breeder) and my beardie's perfectly fine!

  • They do not live on sandy soil, they live primarily on baked clay, sandy terrain is minor. Sand is a no no for bearded dragons, it can't be kept clean. This video contains scenes of two bearded dragons being kept together. This is also a big no no. They are solitary animals and do not need the company. This will cause, at best, stress to both reptiles. At the worst, it can cause severe injury/death to one or both.

  • @pyr0static Actually you can put 2 females at most in a large enclosure, but never 2 males....they would kill each other.

  • @vampyretears666 It would have to be a VERY large enclosure, even females are territorial and dominance issues will arise, sometimes very subtle. Plus, if one gets sick it can be very difficult to tell which one, and you risk spreading the illness to the other. If somebody wants to keep more than one, seperate enclosures should be used. There is no benefit to the dragons in unnaturally keeping them together, only risks. We all love our pets, and should avoid unnecessary risks for their sake.

  • 15 years seem a little long but i really wanna bearded dragon

  • you sick pervert, stop touching the dragon's penis!!

  • I HATE this woman's voice when it gets double toned, GAH it makes me want to cough for nothing and irritating chills go up my spine...

  • @Thelordbaphomet hahahh hell yeah

  • @Thelordbaphomet me too!

  • this woman smokes to much, love the dragons though

  • not even the right set up, an aquarium is much better due to actual light and makes them less nervous once you first get them or after u hold them UPSIDE DOWN FOR 5 MINUTES.

  • does the tail really matter taht much i mean comon it grows back, im not gonna whine if theres a lizard without its tail..

  • same with my new one, i got him a week ago. He is totally scared of me, if i even open the cage he freaks out... What do i do?

  • @chickenpwn000 i have no facts to give you, i've only had wild lizards for pets for short periods of time. but i just stay calm around them and hold them (ofc not tight) until they just understand themselves they are not in danger. then pet em or feed them

  • help me !!!. I don't know what to choose an Chinese Water Dragon or and bearded dragon help I got the terrarium set up to a water dragon but I'm not sure what to buy im going to a shop in Sunday so please fast answer me

  • @Ogureks

I would choose a Chinese water dragon but make sure you know a lot about them b4 you get one I have heard many people that have bearded dragons and they just plop on the couch and stay there for hours. I have never heard of this with a Chinese water dragon. Chinese water dragons can swim in water as well but be warned the do eat pinkys.

  • hey check out my bearded dragon he is sooooo cool

he can drink water from the tap
