No this is not related to Red Dead Redemption. It 's based on an old pen and paper rpg called (surprisingly enough) Deadlands. It was printed in the Mid 90s and inspired a collectable card game called doom town and a miniatures game called The Great Rail Wars. The game has gone through a few editions and spin offs but it still exists.
